Third Person's POV
Catherine gave a light laugh. "No need to look. The head wound's healed. I'm fine."
Blake was still worried about her injury. "Don't be careless. The doctor said to get checked right away."
"I'm really fine!" Catherine patted his hand to reassure him. "If it hurt that bad, I'd be at the hospital."
Seeing her joke around, Blake figured she might be okay, but he couldn't shake the worry.
He cared too much to let her get hurt, so he held her hand tight to calm himself down.
Back at the Chavez mansion, Catherine tried not to think about Harley.
Truth was, she hadn't been dwelling on him. But those women's words at the gala had gotten to her, making her worry about how Harley was doing.
Sunny was sitting under a sun umbrella today, shooting a sports shoe ad.
It wasn't for a global brand, but she was content.
As Leo said, better to climb the ladder steadily; rising too fast without the works and popul
Third Person's POV"It's impossible. Who was Sunny with today? Interrogate that person," Blake said. He knew Sunny's skills well enough to be certain she wouldn't be kidnapped in public again."It was her assistant, Clarissa. I checked, and she claimed they parted ways in the afternoon," Leo said, leaning wearily against the chair.Blake narrowed his eyes, staring at the night outside the car window. "It's already past midnight, and Sunny still isn't back. Summon Clarissa to the company on the pretext of worrying about Sunny's safety.""You suspect her?" Leo stiffened, a chill running down his spine."If she dares to come, her suspicion lessens; if not..." Blake sneered. "What do you think?"Leo snapped to attention. "Right! Why didn't I think of that? Blake, you're always calm in critical moments.""Anyone can lose their composure in situations like this. I might not fare better myself," Blake patted Leo's shoulder."You must
Third Person's POVBlake narrowed his cold eyes; he was certain Olivia was hiding a crucial secret.Olivia was in agony, covering her face with her hands as she wept bitterly, "Why? Why won't you send me to the police? Why won't you believe me? Are you really trying to get my daughter killed?""Olivia, where's Sunny? Tell us now!" Blake strode forward, gripping her wrist furiously, almost growling.Olivia was utterly desperate, shaking her head mechanically. "I can die, but not my daughter! Don't ask anymore, just send me to the police!""Richard kidnapped Sunny to force you to take the fall, didn't he? And he warned you not to tell a soul, or he'd kill her," Blake's gaze was like a knife. "I'm curious—how did he know Sunny was your daughter? Did he find out long ago?"Olivia froze, her voice trembling: "Yes… He's forcing me to confess and not to utter a word. Only if I plead guilty will my daughter live. Please, save her—
Third Person's POVThe bodyguard immediately called Leo to report that Olivia had been found. When Olivia was brought back to the villa, Blake and Leo were already there. Both had handsome features, but their faces were now clouded with gloom and anger, clearly furious at being deceived.Olivia looked at the two brothers, her guilt intensifying, but thinking of her daughter's safety, she forced it down."Olivia, why did you run?" Blake asked coldly.Olivia, unlike before, was not in a panic. She looked up and met their eyes: "I'm still afraid of being sent to the police station.""Afraid of death?" Leo sneered."Who isn't afraid of death? Moreover, I have indeed committed a capital offense," Olivia said surprisingly calm, her tone clear and logical."Capital offense?" Leo's face changed dramatically.Olivia, seeing the cold expressions of the two, gave a self-mocking smile. "I'm just too tired of living this life. Maybe death would be a relief. Leo, thank you for taking care of me and
Third Person's POV"I don't know, I can't find her!" Leo's voice was filled with frustration and anger. "If she really teamed up with Olivia to deceive me, I won't let her off the hook."Blake detected the barely contained fury in Leo's tone, as well as the underlying despair. He tried to soothe him. "Leo, don't jump to conclusions. Maybe they didn't flee together. Keep looking for Sunny.""Alright, I'll keep looking," Leo agreed, more out of hope than conviction. He couldn't shake the confidence that Sunny wouldn't betray him. He trusted the sincerity in her eyes; she genuinely cared for him. After escaping from the hospital, Olivia immediately called Richard. Her hands trembled as she dialed, fear and despair coursing through her. When Richard answered with a casual "Who's this?"Olivia erupted. "Richard, did you kidnap Sunny? Let her go right now! Our feud is between us—don't involve her.""You've been avoiding me. Why the sudden call?" Richard sneered."You bastard, what do you wa
Third Person's POVIf there was such a thing as karma, this was probably it.Olivia clutched the note with the number tightly in her palm. She wished more than anything that time could turn back—to the very beginning. She would have resisted the lure of money and chosen a life of simplicity. After dinner, Olivia suddenly clutched her stomach, screaming in agony and writhing on the floor. The servants and two bodyguards were taken aback and quickly called Leo.Leo was already on edge, searching everywhere for Sunny. Upon hearing that Olivia was suffering from severe abdominal pain, he could only tell the bodyguards, "Take her to the hospital and see what's wrong."With permission granted, the bodyguards helped Olivia into the car.Leo had just left the Lawrence residence, his expression gloomy. As the night deepened, an unnameable sense of unease welled up inside him.Moira followed closely behind, her face etched w
Third Person's POV"Him... who's he looking for? It can't be me, can it?" Fear began to spread from the depths of her heart — she knew Richard all too well; the man was a devil incarnate.Olivia sat there on the sofa, soulless and rigid, unable to move for a long time, as chills ran throughout her body. The terror of having a gun held to her head crept back like a shadow to engulf her once more.Back in the day, she had begged pitifully for mercy to secure a sliver of hope for survival. Now, had Richard finally come to "settle scores" with her?Overwhelmed with fear, Olivia suddenly wanted to call Sunny and tell her to inform Leo and seek police protection immediately. She fumbled for her phone and dialed Sunny's number in a panic. The first call went unanswered.Undeterred, she tried again. This time, the call was picked up, but the voice on the other end was icy, "Olivia? Someone wants to meet you.""Who are you?
