Chapter 21

Early this morning, Kaylin asked me about tools because someone needed them for work.

I honestly told her that Charles threw them in the landfill. Kaylin heard that and panicked. She awkwardly said, "What should I do? Without the tools, everyone would work very hard. They would resent me."

I sigh. I should be responsible for this anyway, so I said, "let me go to the dump to find them."

"Is that disadvantageous for you? I asked you to leave your tools in the hallway, causing you to be reprimanded, and now you have to go to the landfill to look for lost tools. I feel very sorry for you." Kaylin said in a choked voice like she was about to cry. She must be blaming herself a lot.

"It's okay! I have a share of the responsibility too. I'll look for them. Can you show me the way to the dump?" I said with a not-cold attitude.
