Emery’s PoV

I wasn’t supposed to be down here, he warned me, he warned me now he’s angry.

“Alpha Kaiser, please usher your mate forward” The elder continued, and I held onto my gown.

First of all, I looked dirty and shabby, my clothes were torn, making me look more like a slave, and there were blood stains all over me.

“I’m not crowning her as my Luna, Elder Lincoln” Alpha Kaiser said looking away from me.

“We’re only going to crown your mate as the Luna and not someone who…”

“And that person you’re calling someone is the same person who saved each and everyone of you, the same person who risked her life for us all, the least we can do is acknowledge her, and she’s the one to be crowned my Luna, not my godforsaken mate!”

That was the longest and harshest word I have heard him say since today. I don’t need a seer to tell me that he’s referring to his lover. So she saved them, and now he feels indebted to her.
