Amaya POV

Dante clenched his fists so tight blood dripped from his palms. The same man who once fought beside him during the revolution, bleeding for the pack and protecting the borders…

And now he stood before us, his true form exposed.

His features were still the same—his strong jaw, that scar on his brow—but his eyes were no longer brown. They were black like the reflection of a rotten soul.

“How long…?” Dante asked, stepping forward, his voice was filled with disbelief and rage.

It took a moment for Roland to compose himself but realizeing he he been exposed his smirked returned.

“Oh, Dante….” He drawled. “You were always a little slow. I have been wearing this skin for years.”

A stunned silence followed. My stomach twisted, nausea bubbling in my throat. Years? That meant—

“Did you kill suri on purpose!” I yelled but Roland simply shrugged.

“She was just a distraction,” he said coldly.

“You monster!” I screamed. My claws began to extend before I even realize it and my eyes turned

I shrugged, suppressing my own smile and in the corner of my eyes I could see Dante staring at me wearing a stunned expression his fingers twisted at the sides then clenched but he didn't come forward like I had expected him to do.We waited until enough time had passed to be sure Kara was long ahead of us before we began tracking her after masking how scent...briella's idea with Dante leading the way walking faster than the rest of us.It took over an hour of weaving through the dense forest, but eventually, we spotted light in the distance and we dropped low. There was another clearly. But this one wasn't just a hideout. It was like a full blown camp. There were vehicles like black suvs and cargo trucks. As we watched from behind the bushes many gasps followed as we watched about ten children being herded into one of the trucks. On our way I had briefed the rest about all that had happpebed but seeing it live hit them like a slap to the face. "This is basically child trafficking,

Amaya POV I remember his face. How could I forget? He was the man who almost pushed me into the light when I nearly crossed over to death. You recognize him too, don’t you, Nyx? I said in my head, and Nyx growled in response. “Does Alpha Kieran by any chance have a twin?” My question was directed at Asher, now standing next to me. He shook his head, staring at me weirdly, then looked back at the man and squinted his eyes. “I’m sure that’s Alpha Kieran… how would I mistake my Alpha?” he questioned confidently, but I was certain. “Why do you think that’s not him?” Dante, who had been quietly observing me, finally spoke. I didn’t look at him right away. My eyes remained locked on the man by the truck, on the monster wearing Alpha Kieran. Just as I was about to speak, a boy, maybe ten or eleven, who—unlike the others—was working freely in a different direction, paused mid-step. He turned his head slowly like something had whispered to him, and my eyes widened when our gazes

Amaya POV “There are kids in danger. If you kill her, we might not be able to save them,” I said, stepping forward. “How… how do you know this?” Dante asked, clearly struggling to hold himself back. You could see the flicker of red in his eyes as his wolf was resurfacing. “I saw them. They were all trapped in cells,” I said, my gaze shifting to Kara, who still had that stupid smile plastered on her face. “They’re really going to hurt them.” For a split second, the red in Dante’s eyes dulled, like he was grounding himself, like my words had reached him—but then Kara chuckled once again. The red reignited. His claws dug deeper into her skin and he growled, choking her without a second thought. Around us, her men growled in response, shifting like they were ready to pounce. One even stepped forward. Cyrus extended his claws, snarling, and Ryder followed. Another second passed before Dante suddenly released her, shoving her harshly, which sent her coughing and gasping ont

Dante POVIt wasn’t hard to break the code without triggering the spell. All I had to do was create an entirely different conversation, linking it indirectly to Amaya. Once again, Kara had underestimated me.The only thing I couldn’t figure out was who the spy was. Unfortunately, time wasn’t on my side to find out. That’s why the information was only revealed to a very small group—because right now, no one could be trusted.Using the tracker, we were able to pin down Amaya’s location, and just in time too. As we roamed the forest, doing our best to blend in after masking our scent, we heard the sound of a gunshot followed by yelling.“You’re bleeding,” I said, staring down at her stomach as the scent of blood filled my nose. My pupils dilated on instinct and the first thought that crossed my mind was that she was shot.“It’s nothing,” she muttered, quickly covering her stomach with her hand. But I wasn’t having it.I grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away. “It’s not nothing. Were

Amaya POVMy legs gave out, but Asher caught me again, easing me down until I was sitting against a rock. I clutched my stomach tighter as the pain from the stab resurfaced.“Are you okay?” Asher asked. When I looked up at him with a glare, he sucked in his lips and muttered, “Of course you’re not—you just got stabbed.”Thankfully, it wasn’t that deep. But that didn’t make it hurt any less. The white wolf must die.Another shiver ran down my spine as I recalled their hollow eyes and hateful words.“They really think I’m the villain,” I whispered, mostly to myself. But Asher, who had been pacing back and forth, froze and slowly turned to face me like he wasn’t sure if he should say something or just shut up and sit down. His eyes darted around before he finally walked over and crouched down in front of me.“They’re just kids,” he said quietly, rubbing the back of his neck. “They’re scared and brainwashed. They don’t know what they’re saying.”I didn’t respond. He sat down beside me, no

  • My Mate, Please Let Me Go   Chapter 101

Amaya POVI thought it would be difficult, but I guess the perfume played a big role. Walking down the hallway, many guards glanced in my direction, but they all had the same expression—wrinkling their noses. And even when one tried approaching, I simply raised my hand before he could get closer, dismissing him instantly. Kara had a bossy, bratty reputation, so this was easy.Asher led me to where he claimed the kids were being held captive. By now, we had passed over twenty guards and turned more corners than I could keep up with. The moment I stepped inside, my fists clenched. It felt like a prison—but for children. I glanced around as I slowly approached. There were still other guards inside, watching the kids, but what pissed me off was the condition these kids were living in.When I walked past a cell, they shuddered back in fear, probably mistaking me for Kara.My fists clenched tighter when I saw a girl who looked around eight, holding a boy who couldn’t be older than five. She
