Selene’s POV

My weak limbs were the first thing I noticed when I woke up, then the pitch darkness of the room. I managed to sit up and the memories of all that went down before darkness coated my eyes rushed into my brain.

I jerked upright and looked around even though I could barely see anything. There was no other scent apart from mine. And the only breathing that I could pick out was mine also with the faint and almost unnoticeable one of my child.

What the fuck is going on?

I tried to push

  • My Mate Stole My Eyes For My Sister   Chapter Sixty-Six

Selene’s POVThey all stopped before us just as one of the warriors sent the people away so we could hear them. But I had heard what they said earlier clearly. The only thing was that Lea and the word spy weren’t meant to be in the same sentence.“What did you do? Is this a misunderstanding or what? Just say something!” I asked her, watching as she looked like she wanted to disappear into the ground. The warrior jostled her body, almost as if he was reminding her that she needed to talk.“Don’t manhandle her like that,” I warned him.“I’m sorry miss, but this is how we treat criminals.” He said.“Lea is anything but a criminal—” Lea herself cut me off.“I’ve been a spy since. I was planted in this kingdom to spy on you.”The words didn’t settle at first but the moment they did, I was whipping my head to her face, “Is this some sort of joke or what?”“No, it’s not. We caught her exchanging letters with someone outside the kingdom. We saw a bit of the content and it was basically her pu

  • My Mate Stole My Eyes For My Sister   Chapter Sixty-Five

Lucian’s POVWhen Lea told me two days ago that Selene was nowhere to be found, I just knew instantly that it wasn’t just a normal disappearance but a planned one.And from that day, I didn’t rest. All through the day and nights, I put double effort in both the issue of the council— which on one hand had gone awfully quiet as they were all aware that I was aware of all their secrets — and Selene’s disappearance.I had gone to war. Well, I’d call what happened yesterday a war. I had revisited the list of the packs that had been on Cold War with the kingdom for a while and checked out the ones most likely to pull such a stunt. And I was right about my assumption. That pack had started a revolt against the kingdom, they just hadn’t kickstarted their rebellion.Well, long story short, the Alpha might now be left with just one hand.My secretary who had been held up in the dungeon and was being given rounds of daily torture escaped from the dungeon on the same day Selene disappeared. I had

Selene’s POVI got out of his car and he didn’t wait before speeding off with dust trailing right behind him. I could hear sounds coming from the distance and I just knew that I was indeed close to the people of the kingdom.Tiredness weighed on my shoulders, and it felt so much like I had been away for weeks. The further I walked, the more the words of that man rang in my ears. I didn’t even ask for his name all through the time I had been talking to him.Just when I felt like I was really going to pass out, I saw someone. She froze, standing in the same spot as though she had just seen a ghost. I looked around to see that I hadn’t even gotten anywhere close to the castle. But the woman didn’t run away like I thought she would. Instead, she ran over to me and came to grab me.“Miss! Where have you been? Everyone has been looking for you!”She exclaimed.“I’m okay. If you’d just lead me to the castle. That’s if you’re not busy at the moment.”Her eyes lit up, “Of course! Why would I w

  • My Mate Stole My Eyes For My Sister   Chapter Sixty-Three

Selene’s POVI found her?Had he been searching for me? Of course, he has!I stared at his retreating figure, different thoughts starting to run through my mind. I stood in the middle of the forest alone with the man walking at a pace that said he didn’t have it in mind to stop anytime soon.I didn’t call him back. Instead, I started to find my way out of the forest. After all, it wasn’t very sensible that I was going to allow a man who seemed to have known me even before I was taken to that cottage, he seemed to have been anticipating my exit too.And that led me to just one question; Why hadn’t he stepped in or something when that man was about to kill me? He saw me kill him back, he must have seen everything from the beginning, right?A whole lot just seemed wrong with him and I wasn’t in the mood for a question and answer session with him when I should be finding my way out of this mess.I had walked only for three minutes when the disgusting scent of rogues filled my nostrils. O

  • My Mate Stole My Eyes For My Sister   Chapter Sixty-Two

Selene’s POVI stepped back, once. Then twice, my body going into spiral more than it had ever been. Was I really about to be killed by this man after escaping the hold of that man back there?“I’m not going to kill you.” I stilled at the sound of his voice, shocked that it was normal. Maybe I expected something out of the ordinary, but he was very normal.I had even completely forgotten the parts of my body that hurt even though they still screamed at me like crazy. There was really something crazy about the man before me. I wanted nothing more than to go back to the kingdom to see Liam and Lucia— Wait, what?“I’m not coming any closer again if that’ll help you relax.” His voice came on again, snapping me back to reality once more.“Who are you?” I finally said and this time, my voice came out scratchy and dry. I still didn’t know when that man kidnapped me, but the intense hunger gnawing at my stomach didn’t feel like I had only been hours ago.“Not someone you’ll know.” He said, hi

  • My Mate Stole My Eyes For My Sister   Chapter Sixty-One

Lucian’s POV “Step down, leave the kingship position. Or the council will make you leave.” Axel said those words like he expected me to scamper away into the woods or something. And that was just enough to remind me that I had been too lenient on all of them. Truly, Axel never feared me as he had always believed that I was the same boy he raised alongside my father. I didn’t take those words very lightly. My father didn’t give birth to a weak man and I also didn’t become a king to become a man to whom everyone could throw threats, however they liked. And because of that, I watched as he slid out of the room after making that stupid threat. But I didn’t rest. Before me sat a couple of scattered documents which had all of the wrongdoings of each council member with Axel’s own topping the list. Misuse of the kingdom’s funds. Acting on his own orders without involving the king or council. Flouting certain kingdom rules. Indirect involvement in the deaths of certain people… The l
