Selene’s POV

I woke up at 3 am. It wasn’t even as though I really slept. But the few minutes of sleep I got before that time was what was disrupted. I sat upright, the soft snores of Jordan the only sound that I could hear in the room.

And as quiet as the room was, the kingdom should be too, right?

But no, the distinct sound from the distance was one of the reasons I woke up. Jordan was still latched onto my breast and I had to gently place him on the bed before standing up.
