1. Beginning

A man wearing a black robe who stood under the tree was dumbfounded for a few minutes.  His red irises shone in astonishment and furrowed brows at sight he was seeing now.  Strange and mysterious.

It was clear in his memory, and his hands could still feel how heavy the sword he was holding was to kill the creatures that attacked him in a race to take his life.

Three days ago. This forest is a silent witness to the war between the vampires and werewolves, followed by several other immortals against the witches.

But there are no signs at all in this forest that a big battle that killed hundreds of animals happened here. Both the stench of carrion and the scent of rotting blood are absent.

He decided to go deeper. trying hard to see anything, even if it was just blood or bones. His bright red eyes looked like flashes of light. Five wild boars, who had not yet found a new home because this forest was no longer good for living, were startled when they saw the red light coming from the man's eyes. The week-long war had left the five wild boars very traumatized. They ran away.

The black-robed man who covered his head with a hood also sharpened his keen sense of hearing. He frowned when he heard the sound of dry leaves being stepped on, but he couldn't see anything. Maybe an animal? Yes, that's right, there's no way anyone would dare to live in this forest other than a clan of witches and beasts. He was very sure that all the witches were dead. No matter how great the magic spells they had, they would not be able to win against thousands of immortals.

The man grimaced and kicked the tree roots that were sticking out to the ground, which had made him stumble in exasperation.  Unlucky. He cursed. Even though he has sharp eyesight, for some reason, here, he can't see anything.  Cursed be the witch who has shrouded this forest with mist!

The man's forehead doubled. He is confused by his own words. Is it true, the witch who has set up the mist in this forest? Didn't he believe that all witches were dead? Then who's created this fog?!

The man took a deep breath. He struggled to remember what happened after the war. Because yesterday, when he woke up, he was already on the sofa at his house with dry wounds almost all over his body. Though, as he recalled, he was looking for his nephew. Then a heavy rain poured down this forest with lightning flashing, and all the creatures that participated in the war immediately ran to find shelter.

Why did he suddenly in a home? Who brought it? This is still a mystery. The puzzle he hoped to solve the moment he set foot in this forest.

There was one more reason he came to this forest, which was to look for his men. Because he couldn't find his men either at home or at the base, have all his men died? So he's the only one left? If so, what should he do now? His brain couldn't think at all.

The man gave up. He was already in the middle of the forest, but there was nothing he could find. The deeper, the denser the fog. It seemed like what he was doing right now was just a waste of time.

His belief grew stronger, that all the magicians who lived in this forest had indeed died. Oh, don't forget, all of his men have died too. So now he is alone. No, no, there he is. That creature would help him, wouldn't it? Wait, is he still alive?

Before leaving the forest, he crouched down with his hands touching the ground around him. He was still curious. Although, as far as he went, his feet didn't touch or step on anything. At least one, be it body or bone, belongs to the witch or his men. His sense of sight may not work, but not with the other four senses.

He gripped the brown soil tightly and took a deep sniff. The smell of earth. Several times he picked up a handful of dirt, still the smell of earth. They were not mixed with blood. He takes a breath.

Where are their bodies? Have scavengers eaten it? If all the witches and their men died, it meant that the forest was filled with corpses. There's no way that within two days, the animals will greedily eat the whole body until it's gone. At least something was left, for example, a piece of bone?

"Oh, shit." The man cursed angrily. He closed his eyes. He'd better get out of here right away. He was afraid that his eyes would be damaged from lingering in the dark.

"Hai, F."

The man was surprised to hear the familiar voice. He circulated his gaze. Then he cursed his stupidity. He couldn't see anything!

"This mist is blocking your vision?" At the same time as those words, a white light shone around him, making the invisible mist dissipate. Now the man could slightly see the state of the forest, which seemed, as usual, there were no bones or bodies scattered about. The ground remained brown, and the trees still stood firm.

"Amazed?"

The man looked straight ahead, two women walking slowly towards him.

"How come, huh, there's nothing here? Where are the bodies of the dead witches?" The woman in the red dress spoke again.

"Don't ask me."

The woman chuckled. "You came here looking for your men?"

"Yes."

The woman looked up at the orange sky.  "Forget about them. They died because they were weak. From today on I will be the one to help you."

The man raised an eyebrow. "How about he?"

"Killed." The woman shook her head sadly.  "I will continue it. Our goal remains the same, don't let that prophecy happen."

The man was silent. He didn't care who was going to help him. After all, that woman was just as great as him.  "Okay."

The woman with red lips, as if she had just eaten a baby, smiled brightly. "Good decision." She turned to her friend, who was standing stiffly next to her. "She will intercede between us. She has been with me for a long time."

The man looked at the woman with shoulder-length blonde hair, who smiled kindly at him intensely.  "Okay."

Hundreds of years have passed since the second war broke out. Now, the man who was still loyally wearing the black robe smiled proudly with sparkling eyes when he saw his two men fighting with swords in the grass, both of them trying to stay alive. The battle is very fierce and fun at the same time.

"We've made it again. With this, maybe our wish will come true." The jet-black hair man smile with satisfaction, then drink the human blood in the bottle.

"Yes, that's right."

The two men turned their heads when the blonde-haired woman came in breathless. "Almost caught, but we managed to separate them."

The black-robed man smirked. "We'll see how they react to your doing."

The woman blushed. Happy because what she does is always appreciated by the man who is the chairman. The jet-black-haired man gave the woman an unreadable look. "Take a rest."

The woman nodded and went to her room.

"Carlen. What are you going to do?"  The black-robed man chuckled sarcastically.
