Seventeen

Melina's POV

The morning was quiet, too quiet. The birds weren't singing, and the wind wasn't rustling through the trees. It was as if the world had paused, waiting for something to happen. As I opened my eyes I had a bad feeling – a feeling that something bad was about to happen.

I stretched and tried to drag myself out of bed as my body was still heavy with sleep. As soon as my feet touched the cool wooden floor, a cold shiver ran down my spine. It wasn't the pleasant kind of shiver that comes from a cool breeze, but rather an eerie feeling that made me uneasy. I began to feel very uncomfortable.

I glanced around the room, but everything seemed to be in its place. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, yet my wolf was unnaturally furious. She growled low in my mind, warning me of a danger I couldn't see

"Something isn't right Melina. I can sense evil around you." My wolf said with a hint of seriousness in her tone.

I began to feel scared but I shook my head, trying to shake off the fee
