"I was meant to be the Luna, destined to stand by Dwayne's side. I devised a plan to frame you for betraying him, but even then, he forgave you. It was infuriating. My rightful place was snatched away by your mere presence."

Emma's eyes glinted with resentment. "Trivial? It was everything to me! I couldn't let a blind girl be preferred over me, the rightful Luna. I thought blinding you would make you insignificant, but you still found a way to worm your way into his heart."

Melina's mind raced, "And now you're using my son to get back at me? What do you gain from all this cruelty?"
