Cooper stormed into his mansion like a wildfire, fury radiating off him in waves. The thick oak doors slammed shut behind him, reverberating through the grand marble hallway. His right-hand man, Blaze, followed closely, his sharp eyes darting around for any sign of weakness. Cooper’s jaw was clenched so tight his temples throbbed, and his fists were balled at his sides, knuckles turning white.

The inner sanctum, their meeting room—known as "the Den"—was already filled with his top men, each one inked with the mark of loyalty, their expressions grim and stiff. The air was thick with tension, every man standing in silence, eyes locked on their leader as he entered the center of the room.

“You all saw it, didn’t you?” Cooper's voice was low, dangerous, like the calm before a storm. “You saw how that pathetic excuse of a mafia group stormed our compound like cowards in the night and gunned down our men?”

The silence broke like glass. "Yes, Boss!" they all roar

She had been crying herself to sleep, anxiety gnawing at her bones. Her beloved restaurant—her dream, her sweat, her everything—was on the verge of collapse. The weight of it all had been unbearable. Bad reviews had poured in like an unending storm, accusing her of causing food poisoning, of negligence, of running an unsanitary kitchen. One even claimed that her desserts tasted like regret. The negativity had spread like wildfire, and the damage had been nearly irreversible. Her loyal customers stopped showing up. Even her suppliers started pulling back.Kira clenched her phone, blinking back the sudden tears that clouded her vision. She

In a secluded, undisclosed location, where shadows seemed to breathe and the silence was almost suffocating, a dimly lit room reeked of stale cigarette smoke and power. A man, cloaked in a heavy aura of authority, sat relaxed but stern on an aged leather chair. He puffed smoke from his cigarette with a face void of empathy, the flickering embers casting fleeting red glows across his angular jawline. His eyes, cold and calculating, remained fixed on the man kneeling before him.The kneeling figure, clearly younger, trembled slightly as he kept his head bowed, sweat trickling down his temple. His posture screamed submission, but his clenched fists betrayed a swelling frustration."You useless idiot!" the seated man barked, slamming his palm against the wooden armrest. The sound echoed like a gunshot. The younger man flinched."You're messing with Mr. Cooper! Do you even understand what that means? He's not the kind of man you play games with. He's a

Chapter 1 Leena’s Pov “Stop stalling! Get out if you're not ready to get your match!” Someone yelled from the back as I was pushed aside, groaning when my waist connected to the edge of a lone table behind me. I fell to the ground in a heap, clutching my waist. Snickers echoed in my ears making me freeze, but I had to get back in line or else I was going to get pushed to the back and I'd have to start all over again. So I scrambled up, and rushed to stand in the line with the other omegas. Today was the ‘Mate Matching’, a sacred consultation which was held for every werewolf who had come of age. The shaman whom the Alpha had invited would guide us through the ritual, using the moon's blessing to pair us with our destined mate. For an omega like me, this event meant everything. A mate meant protection, stability, and finally, a way of belonging, something I had craved my entire life.I glanced around nervously, the line of Omegas stretched ahead, their expressions a mix of eagerne

Chapter 2 Leena's Pov I had to run. Quickly. I had to get help and the only person who could help me was him. My lover. The one whom I thought I was going to be given to. I passed through the back bushes, careful not to make any noise. Making my way to the back door, I opened it slowly, softly, and then filtered into the house, my footsteps light and airy. “Vin.” I called out softly, frowning when no one answered me. Where was he? I sniffed the air, waiting for his scent to hit me but still, the house smelled stale and dry. Like he hadn't been home in a while. Vin was lame, so he couldn't have been able to walk far. I stepped back outside, sniffing the air until I found his trail, which I followed. It led to a clearing, where the moon shone directly on the ground, so it was very easy for me to see what was going on. I crouched down, using the bushes to camouflage myself. There he was, with three other people, two men and a woman whom I recognised pretty well. She was one of the

Chapter 3 Leena's Pov “Come out now or you're going to get killed.” I froze. There was another person here, there were two. And from the tone of his voice, I was surely going to get killed if I didn't come out. I gulped, rethinking my life choices but at this moment, I truly had no choice but to come out, so I did just that. And immediately I did, I found myself knocked back, my back hitting the wooden wall of the small hut, a groan escaping my lips at the impact. “Who are you? Why are you here? Who sent you here?” The questions came rapid-fire, each one sharper than the last. I struggled to catch my breath, the pain in my back making it hard to focus. My eyes darted between the two figures before me, the one who had killed those people after me and the one who had threatened to kill me if I didn't come out, whose cold, calculating gaze pinned me in place."I… I'm just passing through." I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper, "I needed a place to stay and throw off the peopl

Chapter 4 Leena's Pov “Let me go! You promised to take me to the human lands, why did you bring me here?!” I struggled against Avin who held my waist tightly, dragging me through the gates with him. This was the third time I had tried to escape and each time, I was caught and brought back here. Avin and Kevin had brought me to their pack against my will six days ago. I had no idea that they were leading me farther and farther away from the human lands until the smell of different werewolves assaulted my nose. It was that moment I realised that I had been brought to a land that was filled to the brim with werewolves. “I said let go of me! Put me down! Put me down quickly!” I yelled, however, without a word, Avin leaned down and with one movement, hoisted me up on his shoulders. Stunned, I couldn't say a word at first but by the time I recovered my voice and mobility, I began to hit his back, thrashing wildly against his body. “Runaway, if you don't want me to throw you out of the

Chapter 5 Leena's Pov I walked out slowly, my hands wrung together, my teeth grinding against my lips. I was told to wait outside for Kevin and Avin, and I was doing just that, however, it seems that they were just making me wait for no reason. From where the both of them stood, talking to a female, they continued to glance at me, Kevin with a teasing smirk. Finally, after like ten hours, they came to me. “Are you having fun, Little Runaway?” Kevin asked. “No.” I muttered under my breath, “Why did you ask me to wait for you?” I questioned. “Here.” Kevin stretched his hands out, extending a badge to me. “What's this?” I took it, staring at it in confusion. “There will be a banquet in a few days, make sure to be there. It's to celebrate your coming as guardian of the pack. The servants would be there to dress you when it's time, and do not come late, the elders do not appreciate tardiness.” I sighed and nodded, not at all happy with this. The last time I was the center of attra

**Leena’s POV**As I stepped outside, expecting to meet Ciara and Sarah, my heart sank. They were nowhere to be found. Panic started to bubble within me as I scanned the area, hoping they would reappear. I didn’t even know the exact venue for the meeting with the elders, and without their guidance, I was utterly lost. Frustration clawed at me, and I knew I had no choice but to rely on my wolf senses to track them. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, allowing my wolf instincts to sharpen. Their faint scent lingered in the air. With determination, I followed the trail, the soft padding of my footsteps on the forest floor echoing in my ears. My legs ached with each step, and the loud music from the banquet hall up ahead only added to my growing exhaustion. Every beat thudded in my skull like a taunt, reminding me how unprepared I was for this. When I finally arrived, my eyes darted around, scanning the faces of the crowd. My gaze landed on Alvin and Kevin, seated at a table with thei

When Cooper decided to help clear Kira's name from the list of negative reviews and accusations following the sudden outbreak of food poisoning linked to her restaurant, he wasn’t entirely sure how to go about it. The incident had caused chaos—dozens of customers claimed to have suffered from severe diarrhea after eating at Kira’s place, and social media was ablaze with criticism. Her business, her reputation, everything she had worked for was crumbling like a dry leaf in autumn.Kira, devastated and teary-eyed, had nearly collapsed in Cooper’s arms when he promised to help. "I know a guy—a lawyer," he said, brushing her hair back from her face with a tender look in his eyes. "Just leave everything to me."She hugged him, her voice barely above a whisper. "Thank you... thank you so much, Cooper. I don't know what I'd do without you."That night, Cooper returned to his penthouse, a place of sleek lines and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that reflected the city lights. He paced across his

The way her breath caught in her throat whenever his eyes met hers wasn’t normal… or was it? She didn't know. But one thing was clear—this man affected her in a way she couldn't explain. There was something about him. Something… familiar. She had tried to brush it off countless times, convincing herself it was just a fleeting attraction. But the more time she spent with him, the more convinced she became that she had seen his face before—maybe in another life or a forgotten dream. The contours of his jawline, the storm in his eyes, the way he moved—it all stirred a strange longing in her chest. Kira was too stunned to speak when the furious customer stormed into her shop, his face flushed with anger and his voice booming across the cozy bakery like a thunderclap."You!" he barked, pointing a trembling finger at her. "What kind of poison are you selling in here? Every single person who ate that tray of cupcakes from your shop is now down with explosive diarrhea! My café is practically a war zone!"Kira blinked rapidly, trying to process what she had just heard. Her hands froze on the rolling pin she was cleaning, and for a moment, her breath caught in her throat.“Wait… what?” she asked, eyebrows furrowing in disbelief. “Are you serious?”The man leaned across the counter, his eyes bloodshot and wild. “Do I look like I’m joking? I’ve had to shut my entire kitchen down because of your contaminated cupcakes! This is going to cost me thousands!”Kira's mouth parted slightly, her heart thumping unevenly. She shook her head slowl

Kira was bustling with energy that morning. Her auburn curls were tied into a loose bun, and a hint of chocolate flour still dusted her cheek—something she hadn’t noticed in her mirror rush to open shop early. Her café smelled like a dream: vanilla bean, warm cinnamon, and her bestselling dark-chocolate cupcakes fresh from the oven. She had already sent out most of her morning orders and felt a rush of satisfaction. Things were finally looking up. She glanced at her phone—no message yet from Mr. Cooper. Kinda odd… she thought. She had asked him to drop by today just to help out for a couple of hours. After all, he insisted on being involved, even though she had told him the night before, “You don’t have to come every day, Mr. Cooper. I’m sure you’ve got a million other things to do.” He had smiled that charming, mysterious smile and replied, “But I’ll come anyway. Just in case you need me.” Yet here she was, stirring frosting in a big silver bowl when her phone rang. It was his dr
