Born to a human but raised by wolves. Calantha's world shattered when she learned that the wolf family she had always loved was not hers. She was shocked to see how quickly they banished and turned against her. As she set off to find her kind, the intense loyalty to wolves led to her scandal after she was betrayed by an imprisoned Alpha she loved. Prisoner Alpha Razor, brute and tough, had selfishly used Calantha's kindness to set himself free. But his bond with her didn't end there as the past had its way of revealing its truth. Calantha realized Razor was no angel and she would do anything to destroy his entire wolf pack. But Razor wasn't one to surrender either and Calantha wasn't one to give up. When sword clashes, hearts shatter. When ribs break, bonds repair. When a woman loves, the world pauses. When a man loves, the world ends.

"Push!" Her mother screamed at her. "If you don't push this baby out now, I am leaving you alone to this"It was storming outside and the thunder terrified Belena as she lay on a wool mattress, legs spread, knees buckled and the wooden bed frame creaking to every move she made.
Belena felt like she was being ripped apart. She felt like a stray cat was clawing her intestines to find food.
"Mother, please. Easy on me." She cried. The windows in the room opened and closed due to the wind effect and the roof rattled like it was about to pull off.
"Almost. Keep on pushing" the mother shouted, trying to talk over the noise of the rain.
"Mother…" Belena cried, tears pouring out of her eyes in a triple stream. Yet, she continued pushing, she wanted to bear this child.
"I see the head!" Her mother said. "Gently now, Bel, don't push much." She gently guided the head out carefully and the rest of the baby's body followed.
As the mother held the newborn, she took a clean cloth to remove the debris from the child's mouth and nose and it burst into a loud cry.
"It's a girl child." She said, with little to no compassion in her eyes.
Then Belena was handed her child and she snuggled it with tears in her eyes. "You are so beautiful." She said with a broken voice.
"Take the child to her father." Her mother blurted one hour after she had helped Belena clean up and wrapped the baby in a warm cloth. "This is my last help to you. Take this child to her father!" She yelled.
"Mother, please."
"If you refuse to tell me who possesses the child, my roof is no longer a home for you."
Belena was silent, and only small sobs escaped her lips.
"Tell me, Belena. Tell me who owns that child"
No response regardless and this upset her mother. "You have failed me yet again. I have become the laughingstock of the town, nevertheless, you are not bothered by it." She ground her teeth. "I wish your daughter would do the same thing you did to me." She cursed. "Leave now!" She dragged Belena by her dress. "Leave and never come back!" She pushed her out of the small hut they were living in.
The newborn burst into a cry when it entered the rain. "I have nowhere to go" Belena's teeth began to tremble because of the late-night cold. "Please, one more night Mother."
"Find the lunatic that got you pregnant and never showed up" her mother spat and shut the door.
Belena knew her mother's fear was leaving this newborn at her place and running off, but she would never do that. She would never want to let go of her little gift.
"Forgive me, my child, please" As she tied her baby close to her with a shawl, she ran from the rain but kept running without finding shelter.
Then she decided to make the big decision. Confront the child's father; or better, beg him for help.
She ran into the castle, behind the gatekeeper's house where woods were burned under a shade, and she sat beside the fire for warmth.
After a while, she found a scarf that was long enough for her and her child to disguise themselves and then entered the castle. With the familiar paths she took, no one stopped her.
Getting into the palace, she walked behind walls and pillars to avoid being seen. She had just one place she was heading to and would get there at any cost.
Reaching the front of his adorned gold door, Belena almost opened it, but the door opened itself and she ran back to hide in a corner.
"The King asked for a private time, ensure that his dinner is sent on time before he sleeps" The Queen spoke to the other royal maids behind her.
"Yes, Your Highness" they all chorused.
Belena's child suddenly let out a cry and she immediately locked her lips with her baby to prevent her from making a sound while also pulling her breast out of her clothes. When her mouth left her child's, she replaced it with her breast as the baby began feeding.
The Queen who was about to leave had stopped, her eyes bulging out. She looked around the castle. "Is that a child?" She asked. She turned to her maids. "Did you hear that? Did you hear a child crying?"
They all nodded negatively. "No, Your Highness."
"I heard it" she muttered again looking around. "It was short, it was quick" The Queen frowned, but she couldn't figure out where the sound came from, so she just walked away.
"Perhaps, her childlessness is making her insane," one of her maids said.
"There hasn't been a cry of a child in this palace for years. She must be hearing things" The maids continued their gossip while they walked away.
When Belena saw that they were gone, she walked out of her hiding spot, looked around, and opened the door quickly, shutting it behind her.
"I said I needed some private time, Daphne" The King growled. His back was turned to the door as he was writing on a scroll.
Belena began to tremble at his voice but still summoned the courage to speak. "Your Highness?" She called with a shaky voice.
The King turned around, to be met by a drenched woman in his room. His brows raised in some sort of surprise, and when she pulled her scarf away from her head, his eyes widened.
"You." He muttered, standing up from his seat.
"Godric." She burst into tears.
King Godric could only stare into her soaked eyes. "Belena." He muttered, walking toward her.
Belena exhaled and then presented her child to him. "Your child, Godric" Her breath shook. "Your child is here." She sobbed.
King Godric looked down at the child who was pointed over to him.
5. The wolves had taken their stands outside the palace shooting arrows everywhere. Belena needed to run to Godric for safety as he had promised to protect her. She took off with her child out of the storage room.Everyone had begun to run helter-skelter after being alerted about the danger. Belena ran across the palace halls into King Godric's room and shut the door."The war!" She panted, holding her chest. "It had begun." Her eyes darted around the room to see the prying gaze on her. "I..I am sorry, for barging in Your Highness" she buried her head. "Belena. Queen's maid?" The man standing beside the King said. Belena looked up at him, he was the Queen's royal guard. His eyes pierced into hers in shock. "How did you get into the palace?" He took a defensive stance, protecting the King."The war has started." She said. "The wolves are attacking. Please protect my child" she turned to Godric, fell on her knees wanting to move closer to him but was stopped by the guard."Stay away f
4.All the wolves who were of age to fight gathered in front of Ragnar's palace. "The humans have betrayed us. They have killed some of us. They want a war and we would give them that. Spare no one, we are barraging the palace first.""Yes, Alpha!" The wolves chorused."Let us show them that our kindness was a privilege. They have silver, but we have our inner beast. Unleash your wolf on whoever crosses your path""Yes, Alpha!" They chorused.Ragnar went back into the house to find his wife. He saw her picking an arrow from its case. "What are you doing?""Fighting with you." She said, without looking at him, and continued to store more arrows in the quiver around her waist."Nonsense!" Ragnar spat, going to her and removing all of the arrows with her. "Did you forget? Today is the birth date. You would not fight in this condition""I cannot just watch. I have to protect the palace while you're gone. I have to protect the other women who have stayed back…""It's not your place to do
3. THE WOLVES"Thank you, my Alpha" Philipa took a bow in front of her spouse, her very own Ragnar, the King of the Wolves. "I cannot explain the delight that is bubbling in me" She walked to his bed.Alpha Ragnar's smile spread to his cheeks as Philipa approached him. He felt the same bubbling when she was near him. She came close to him and he stood up and acknowledged her. "All I do, my Queen is my expression of love for you.""No. This…this is too much" Phillipa responded. "There has been a feast outside the palace for the past three days…""And it would continue until you birth this bundle of joy" Alpha Ragnar rubbed Philipa's belly which was as big as a ripe melon. "Tomorrow is your birth date and when that child comes, the whole town will not get enough of my celebration" he laughed and Philipa joined him. "I will be sending the invitation to all humans too, tonight. They have to celebrate with us"Philipa's smile fell when he said that and Ragnar noticed. "The humans?" She ask
2.He felt his body hair prickling as he stared at the child she was holding out. It was the first of its kind since his reign as a King. He looked at Belena again. "My child?" He asked and she nodded."No man has touched me except you, Your Highness" she cried. King Godric was reaching his hand out to the infant to carry. "She is your child." Belena sobbed."It's a female child?" He asked. Belena was disappointed to see that the hand waiting to carry her withdrew back to his pocket."Please hold her" she begged him, her teeth jittering. Godric walked past her to his shelf and went to take his ornate pipe where he smoked tobacco in, and puffed the fume toward her. "Why are you here, Belena?" He asked. "Where is my male child?""You said you didn't mind what type of child." While trying her best not to make her voice shake, it only worsened. "You said you loved me either way.""I did." He smiled. "But you left.""Because…because the Queen found out I was pregnant and I… could…not expl
