Jace's POV

Ever since Allison arrived, I have been very distant from Liana. Although that is exactly what I want, I know that the mate bond between both of us was beginning to affect our relationship, and it was making me grow close to her emotionally, which I don't want to happen because we are meant to be siblings and not lovers.

Alison and I have been friends since we were young, but the distance has made us grow apart from each other a little bit, and that's what we are trying to rebuild, which has made us even closer now that we are older. What bothers me is that I know that my dad will never do anything without an ulterior motive, which makes me think that there is a reason why Allison is here in the first place. I know that the pack might be under attack, but her mom is strong enough to keep her safe, so her presence here has to mean something.
