Nina's POV

The tone of her voice changed, the jolly atmosphere she was caring burst like a bubble. She still had that sweet smile plastered on her lips, but her eyes turned sharp.

A small drop of venom seems to fill the air. I cannot fully express this kind of aura, but it feels like a rat being observed by a hawk, ready to catch anytime.

Calm down Nina.

Make your heart steady, any change of demeanor or subtle change of breathing can give her so much information.

She's here to ask about my health, not to interrogate me nor does she feel suspicious. I can't overthink for now; it may cause me an arm and a leg.

Stay calm, you have already been exposed to too many surprises. This shouldn't be enough to make you lose your cool Nina.

But what should be my response? If I talk too much it might appear too odd, if I talk less, it will appear as if I'm hiding something. A perfect response is not an option, as perfection does not exist. It would also cause some suspension.
