22. Illegible Feeling

Not knowing how long the silence muffled Ansel and Alina in the bandage of feeling restless and gurgling of blood. Ansel racked his brain to string a meaningful explanation which could reduce the heat of his mother’s heart.

Meanwhile, Alina struggle to control herself so that half-hearted vows weren’t spoken out, shaking the door of heaven with the curse of the bitter tongue. A mother’s words were the most effective prayer for her child.

“Mom, there are so many works I have to finished today,” Ansel persuaded, trying to change the topic of their talks and Alina’s mind as well. “What if you go home first and take a rest. You must be exhausted, right?”

“You purposely want to avoid the talk?”

Ansel shook his head while putting on a serious facial expression. “No, I don’t. You yourself can see the stack of documents on my desk,” he argued. “I promise I will make time to discuss this matter later.”
