(Almira’s POV)

*Ring! Ring! Ring!*

I woke up to the sound of my alarm screaming at my ears.

“Arghh…” I groaned as I blindly searched for it on the bed with my eyes still closed.

This is probably one of those mornings where getting up on bed is the last thing I want to do. The sheets are just so cozy, and these arms hugging me are just so freaking warm.

Wait…

Arms? Hugging me?

My eyes widened as a chilling realization washed over me. I could feel all the hair on my body standing up at the thought of having another person beside me in bed.

I slowly lifted my head, avoiding to wake up whoever’s hugging me right now, and that’s when my face turned white. “What have I done…” I mumbled to myself

I silently gasped upon confirming that we’re both naked under the sheets inside an unfamiliar room.

Everything went crashing back inside my head as soon as I saw the face of the man I spent the whole night with. That gorgeous face was the same fucking face who offered me drinks last night, and I don’t even want to remember how I ended up sleeping in his arms anymore.

“Hmmm…” he moaned, moving over to the other side of the bed.

I grabbed that as an opportunity to slide out of bed, quickly picking up the pieces of my clothes on the floor.

This can’t be fucking happening right now. I wasn’t serious when I said that I was going to cheat like how my boyfriend did last night. That must be the whiskey messing up my head!

I paused when I saw the wallet of the man sticking out of the pile of clothes on the floor. I glanced to check if he was still sleeping before picking it up to know his name. I was greeted by the thick load of cash and black cards inside, but what really caught me off guard was the name printed on his credit card.

Lysander Hitwell

You’ve got to be shitting me right now.

The man I hooked up with last night was none other than the billionaire Alpha of the Shadow Weavers Pack—the same pack who is hosting the Hunting Festival.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

Now that explains why his face looked very familiar. He’s literally the CEO of MW Group, the most powerful company in the human world. I'd seen their logo on everything—every building, every product. I think I even saw their company’s logo on the whiskey I chugged down last night.

How could I not recognize his face?! He’s literally on every billboard in the City! I’m so fucking dead. I really fucking am—

“Awww!” I grunted when I suddenly felt nauseous.

Great. Just great. A hangover to top off this amazing mess. I clamped a hand over my mouth to keep myself from making a sound while I threw on some clothes. The absolute last thing I wanted was for him to wake up and see me.

I should get the hell out of here before anyone finds me here.

I was about to run to the door when I noticed something strange in the large mirror on the wall. As I turned to look at my reflection, my lips parted in a mixture of surprise and amazement. My natural brown hair has turned blonde with streaks of silver. There is also a strange ethereal glow on my skin that quickly disappeared as soon as it appeared.

“Holy fuck?”

What the hell happened to me?

*****

A week later…

My steps were quick and vigilant as I made my way to the HR office. I came here to collect my last paycheck after I finally decided to resign from my job. I haven’t been coming to work ever since I started having these strange changes in my body.

Morning sickness is starting to become a regular occurrence. I’ve also been having these weird dreams of me meeting something—someone, I don’t know. It’s just similar images of something I couldn’t quite grasp.

And did I mention that everyone keeps staring at my hair? I've even had a few people ask which salon I got this done.

Well, guess what? I DIDN’T.

I fucked a stranger and this happened.

Besides, there’s no way I’m going to work with my ex-boyfriend as my senior manager. He’s been trying to call me this past week, begging to work things out between us, but I think I made it clear on the first day that it’s beyond repair when another woman is involved.

A year of stupidity is enough. I’m not going to suffer in that kind of relationship anymore.

I was just about to turn to the next corridor when I noticed a tall, dark man blocking my path. I stepped back.

It’s Liam.

“So, you think you can just walk away? After what you did? After you humiliated me in front of everyone?”

I nervously looked at him.

The fire in his eyes tells me that he’s about to get his revenge on me in this very corridor. Liam was never the type to let go of something very easily. And what he hates most in this world is being humiliated in public. Something that I know very well.

“The HR officer sent this to me this morning,” he scoffed, waving a piece of paper in his hand which I’m suspecting is my resignation letter. “You really think I will let you go that easily?”

I was startled when he started tearing the letter violently in front of me. I watched as the bits of pieces fell on the floor. He stepped on it as he approached me.

“Is that why you haven’t been answering my calls? You were planning to leave me all this time?”

I clenched my fists.

“Why wouldn’t I? I’m not your girlfriend anymore. I can resign at work whenever I like—AHH!” I gasped when he suddenly grabbed my arm, squeezing it with all his might.

“You’re not fucking breaking up with me!” he shouted.

I wanted to scream for help, but there was nobody in this area of the mall. My instincts are screaming at me to kick his nuts, but he locked my legs before I could even do that.

There was no way an Omega like me could overpower a Beta male like him. He could crush me with a single hand if he wanted to.

“LET GO OF ME!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, hoping that someone would come to help me. “Help! Somebody help me—AHMPP!” My eyes widened when Liam began kissing me aggressively. With all the strength I have left, I pushed him very hard, enough to pull him away from me. He hadn't even recovered from that when I slapped him next.

PAKK!

“Fucking bitch!”

“Don’t you fucking touch me again. You disgust me!”

He smirked.

“Oh, I thought you liked it when I’m kissing you, huh? What changed? Some other guy is fucking you now?”

“YES!”

The smirk on his face faded.

“What did you say?”

I gave him a sarcastic smile. He thinks he’s the only one who can proudly share his cheating to the world?

“You heard that fucking right,” I confirmed, making his brows furrowed. “That night I disappeared, I was fucking another man in the president suite. What? You’re surprised? You think I can’t do the things you did? You think I can’t fucking cheat?!”

His face darkened, and then he sneered, “Come on, Almira. You’re not that noble. You’re just as low as I am. You got on that cruise hoping to hook up with a rich guy, and you’re mad because I beat you to it.”

“You bastard! How dare you insult my feelings like that!” I reached out to hit him, but he quickly grabbed my wrist.

He shoved me away, then raised his right hand, ready to slap me. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the blow.

But just then, a familiar deep voice rang out behind me, cutting through the tension and stopping the impending physical altercation between Liam and me.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

(Almira’s POV)I blinked, still trying to steady my breath. The twins had really outdone themselves this time, but there was no hiding the smile tugging at my lips. As much as I wanted to be angry at them for playing with my emotions, a part of me couldn’t help but admire their creativity. And then there was Lysander, standing before me with that damnable smirk on his face. His presence was enough to make my heart skip a beat, even after everything we’d been through.“You did this?” I asked, the question slipping out before I could stop myself. My hands trembled slightly, still too wound up from the adrenaline rush of the moment.Lysander tilted his head, an innocent look on his face that didn't match the misncing in his eyes. “Did what?”“You tricked me, didn’t you?” I couldn’t keep the smile from forming on my face, despite my best efforts to stay serious.Lysander chuckled, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down my spine. “Oh, I had some help, but yes. (Rich’s POV)The forest felt suffocating in its stillness, as if the trees themselves were holding their breath, waiting. I don’t know why I’d come out this far—maybe it was the weight of everything pressing on me, or maybe I just needed to get away from the ever-present tension back at the estate. I thought I was alone, just me and my thoughts, but the sudden shift in the air told me otherwise. Something was off. Then I heard it—the unmistakable growl of a rogue, low and hungry. Before I could even react, a massive form lunged at me from the shadows, its eyes gleaming with madness. Its claws slashed at the air, and for a split second, I was sure I was dead. But then—just as quickly—it was gone. A blur of motion, a shadow crashing into the rogue, knocking it to the ground.Lysander.He moved like lightning, a sleek black figure against the night. His claws ripped through the rogue with brutal precision, each strike more savage than the last. The rogue snarled in pain, but it was no us

(Almira's POB)As Rich’s car faded into the distance, swallowed by the treeline and silence, I stood there for a long moment, holding my twins as if I could physically shield them from what I now knew was coming. The sun, once bright and warm above us, now felt dull, muted by the chill that had taken root in my chest.Lysander’s hand lingered on my back, his touch trembling ever so slightly. I could feel the turmoil in him—the conflict between the man who had tried to build a future with me, and the ghost of a prince raised by a legacy of blood and betrayal. I knew that look in his eyes. He wasn’t just worried. He was afraid.“I should have seen it coming,” I muttered, brushing Hazel’s hair back from her face. “He didn’t just find us by chance. Someone told him where to look.”Lysander finally tore his gaze from the horizon, his jaw tight. “Someone wants him to find us. And if Rich is involved, we’re not dealing with just power plays anymore. He plays a different game. Long moves. Qui

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 97 He's Back

(Almira’s POV)The wind was gentle today, the air thick with the scent of pine and sunshine. I took the twins to a nearby playground nestled in the outskirts of the village, where human children often laughed and played. Asher and Hazel ran ahead, their gleeful squeals piercing the air like music. For a brief moment, I let myself believe that we were safe—that we were normal. It had been weeks since I clawed my way out of the nightmare of their abduction. Weeks of unanswered questions, sleepless nights, and the echo of masked men dragging my children away. I still woke up drenched in sweat, expecting to hear their cries. But today, they smiled. They laughed. And that was enough.Until a shadow slid across the sunlit glade. The hum of an engine broke the fragile silence. A sleek black car—too polished, too deliberate—glided to a halt beneath the ancient oak that stood like a sentry at the edge of the playground. My blood froze. That car didn’t belong here. Not in this peaceful place.T

(Almira’s POV)The healers said he wouldn’t wake up for a few more days—if at all.But that didn’t stop me from sitting beside him every hour, barely blinking.Lysander lay still on the white stone bed, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. His body had been torn apart—burned, slashed, cursed—and still, he had shielded me. Thrown himself into the blast radius of a dark witch’s spell with nothing but his body as a shield. It should’ve killed him.It almost did.I sat on the edge of the cot, my hand over his. I had changed the bandages myself. Cleaned the blood from his face. Whispered his name like a prayer while the healers worked in silence. And when they had all given up, it was my tears—my grief—that had triggered the magic that saved him.The Sunstone had bloomed from within me like wildfire, but it wasn’t destruction this time. It was healing.I

  • My One-Night-Stand Alpha   Chapter 95 It's Over

(Almira’s POV)The battle was over. The blood had been washed from the Citadel steps, the bodies taken care of, and the fires finally put out. But no one could sweep away what we all felt in our bones—that the world had changed. That I had changed.I walked slowly through the corridor, my limbs heavier than they’d ever been. The Citadel’s stone walls hummed softly with protective enchantments, but my magic—whatever I had unlocked when Lysander fell—was still pulsing faintly under my skin. Warm, golden, aching.I had killed them all.The witches. The corrupted werewolves with blue marks who’d screamed as they disintegrated beneath the blinding burst of light I’d poured out of my body.I remembered screaming Lysander’s name as I held him—his blood coating my hands, his heart slowing beneath my palms. And then…I remembered the Sunstone inside me cracking open like
