Heather's POV

‘Silver! Mom!’

Right in front of my expanded eyes, playing out in a slow motion, my mate and my mother…I watch with appalling horror, how they fall off the edge. The electrifying shock leaves my body nimble, eyes wide and staring beneath the heavily pouring rain. Nothing…I feel nothing around me.

Not registering the amok movements around me nor when someone comes calling out to me repeatedly.

Nothing…the fear crippling my senses with such speed that the next I know it, darkness consumes me the next my lids glide over my eyes.

“Mom!”

With a start, my body jerks off- where am I? I wince from the faint throbs in my head, a comforting palm to my temple as I squint my eyes beneath to look around the familiar space, seeing I’ve been brought back to uncle Liam’s. Back in my room.

Swinging my legs to the edge, I drag my weakened body down until the sole of my feet touches the cold surface of the wooden floor. With that motion, my mind is stung by the agonizing memory of mom
