I was lost in him again, In my head, Professor Damien Vale had me pinned against the wall of his office, his mouth claiming mine in a hungry, possessive kiss that stole every breath from my lungs. His large hand gripped my waist, pulling me flush against his hard body as his other hand moved slowly down the front of his shirt, unbuttoning it one by one. I could almost feel the heat of his skin, trace the muscle and the faint scars I’d only imagined existed beneath those perfectly tailored suits. His dark eyes burned into mine with raw need, like I was the only thing in his world that mattered.

“Ava…” he growled against my lips, voice low and dangerous.

A sharp sting hit the back of my head. I jolted upright in my seat, heart slamming against my ribs, a crumpled paper ball bounced onto my desk. The entire lecture hall was staring at me. Heat flooded my face as reality crashed back in.

Sophia Kensington and her puppet Lila Monroe were laughing loudly from the front row, their voices abrupting through the silence do loudly.

“Oh my God, look at her,” Sophia cackled, flipping her long blonde hair. “Drooling again like a pathetic little puppy. Were you having a wet dream in class, Blake? So Embarrassing.”

Lila leaned against Sophia’s shoulder, giggling obnoxiously. “She probably creamed her cheap panties just sitting there spacing out, what a loser.”

Snickers rippled across the room. I bit the inside of my cheek hard, forcing my expression to stay normal even as humiliation burned through me, Ava don’t react. Don’t give them the satisfaction. I’d learned that lesson the hard way since sophomore year. Sophia had decided I was her favorite target the moment I beat her GPA ranking, and Lila followed like the loyal little snake she was or should I say a puppet.

I slowly picked up the paper ball and smoothed it out on my desk, pretending their words didn’t sting. Inside was written in big pink letters: “Earth to Scholarship Slut.”

Class continued, but I couldn’t focus. My eyes kept drifting to the front of the room where he stood. Professor Damien Vale, He had joined the faculty at the beginning of senior year, and from the first moment I saw him, I was ruined and obsessed. Tall, broad-shouldered, with sharp cheekbones and dark, intense eyes that made my stomach fo a back flip every single time. He was unfairly gorgeous the kind of man who looked like he belonged on magazine covers, not behind a lecture table. His voice was deep and commanding, even when he spoke in that cold, professional tone he used with everyone.

He never smiled and never showed favoritism. He acted like none of us existed beyond the grades he assigned. And somehow, that made my stupid crush even worse. Sophia raised her hand, leaning forward so her cleavage spilled out of her expensive top.

“Professor, can you explain that part again? I’m a little… distracted.”

Damien barely glanced at her. “Pay attention, Miss Kensington. The material is on the slides.” his voice had no warmth and no reaction to her obvious flirting. Just a flat response I secretly loved that about him. The rest of the class dragged on. When it finally ended, I packed my bag quickly, hoping to slip out unnoticed but no such luck.

Sophia and Lila blocked my path at the end of the row, arms crossed, same matching smirks on their faces.

“Seriously, Ava,” Sophia said sweetly, loud enough for nearby students to hear. “If you’re going to fantasize in public, at least close your mouth, you literally looked brain dead and to be be fair it’s pathetic.”

Lila snorted. “Maybe she was thinking about Julian again. Or maybe she’s finally realizing she’ll never be on our level. Keep dreaming, charity case.”

I straightened my shoulders, refusing to shrink. “Are you done?”

Sophia stepped closer, her perfume suffocating. “Not even close. Watch your back this semester, I heard Julian’s getting impatient. He wants you crawling on your knees soon. You might as well start practicing.”

My stomach turned, julian Hale had been tormenting me for months the rich, entitled asshole who had decided he wanted to “own” me. He made my life hell whenever I rejected him, he began spreading rumors, messing with my group projects, and threatening my part time job, sophia loved helping him in doing that.

Before I could respond, a calm voice cut through the tension.

“Move.”

Zara Knox, my sharp tongued friend, appeared beside me like a storm. She glared at Sophia and Lila with zero fear.

“Unless you want me to accidentally spill my coffee on those overpriced extensions, get the fuck out of the way.”

Mia Chen, my sweet and gentle friend, stood right behind her, giving me a supportive smile even though she looked nervous.

Sophia laughed coldly. “Cute, The scholarship rejects, has a cute little bulldog.” She flicked her hair and walked off with Lila trailing behind, but not before whispering loud enough for me to hear, “Enjoy your sad little life, Blake.”

Zara rolled her eyes. “Bitches. You okay?”

I nodded, forcing a small smile even though my cheeks still burned. “I’m fine, it’s the same shit, different day.”

Mia linked her arm with mine as we walked out of the hall. “They’re just jealous because you’re smarter than both of them combined, they're just bunchs of overpriced dumb brains, ignore them.”

But it was getting harder to ignore. The bullying had worsened this semester, the pranks, rumors, public humiliation. We’d reported them multiple times, but the school authorities always dismissed it. Sophia’s father donated too much money and Julian’s family was even more powerful. We were just scholarship students making noise. As we stepped into the crowded hallway, I caught a glimpse of Professor Damien Vale walking ahead of us. His broad back was straight, steps confident and unhurried. He didn’t look at anyone, not even once. Yet my stupid heart still raced.

I wondered what it would feel like if he actually noticed me. If those strong hands touched me the way they did in my daydreams. If he unbuttoned that shirt for real and looked at me like I was his. A dangerous, addictive thought.

And If he could actually stare at me and notice me like he has never done before, just to me…

The rush from class still hummed under my skin as I left the lecture hall. For once, I felt bold and alive for once. The way Professor Damien Vale had stared at my chest, losing his usual icy control, played on repeat in my mind. I adjusted the strap of my bag and walked down the quieter side corridor that led toward the main quad a narrow hallway lined with old bulletin boards and dim lighting.I didn’t see Julian coming. His hand shot out from a shadowed alcove, grabbing my wrist and yanking me into the narrow space between two pillars. My back hit the wall with a soft thud. He loomed over me, breathing hard, his usually handsome face twisted with raw jealousy. “What the fuck was that, Ava?” he hissed, voice low and venomous. His grip on my wrist tightened. “You think parading your tits around like that in his class is cute? I saw the way he was looking at you. Staring like a fucking animal. That’s my view. Only for my eyes.” I tried to pull away, heart racing. “Julian, let go.

I was done playing small. After Julian’s latest threat and the way Professor Damien Vale had looked at my short skirt yesterday, something reckless woke up inside me. I wanted to be seen. Really seen, especially by him. So I chose my outfit deliberately this morning, a tight, deep V-neck top that plunged dangerously low, the kind of top I’d never dared wear before. My breasts were almost fully exposed, the soft curves on full display with every movement. Paired with the same short skirt from yesterday, I felt powerful, dangerous and alive. My heart pounded as I walked into Professor Damien Vale’s class. The room went noticeably quieter. Heads turned and whispers started immediately.Sophia and Lila were already in the front row. Sophia’s eyes widened, then narrowed with vicious delight. “Oh my God,” she said loudly, laughing. “Look at Blake trying to cosplay as a stripper. Did you lose a bet, or are you just that desperate for attention?” Lila joined in, cackling. “Those things a

I couldn’t wait to tell them. The moment I spotted Mia and Zara at our usual bench near the fountain, I practically skipped over, my short skirt swishing with every excited step. My cheeks were still warm from the encounter with Professor Damien Vale, and for the first time in days, I felt something other than dread. “You guys will never believe what just happened,” I said breathlessly as I dropped onto the bench between them. Mia looked up from her notes with a curious smile, while Zara raised an eyebrow, already sensing my energy. “Spill,” Zara demanded, leaning forward. “You look like you just won the lottery.”I bit my lip, grinning like an idiot. “I helped Professor Vale carry his books to his office this morning. His car is insane, like a super expensive flashy sports car. And when we got there… he took off his coat and I was just staring, and he noticed my skirt.” Mia’s eyes widened. “He noticed your skirt? What did he say?” “He murmured something about it violating the

The morning air felt electric as I stepped onto campus. After yesterday’s emotional rollercoaster in his office, I’d chosen my outfit with purpose a fitted white blouse tucked into a very short black pleated skirt that barely reached mid-thigh. It was bold and risky. Definitely pushing the boundaries of the dress code. But after the way Professor Damien Vale had looked at me yesterday, I wanted to feel seen. Desired. Even if only in my own fantasies. My heart was already racing when I heard the low, throaty growl of an engine. A sleek matte-black sports car far too luxurious and flashy for any ordinary professor slid into the faculty parking spot. The door opened, and there he was.Professor Damien Vale. He stepped out looking like sin wrapped in designer clothes. Dark trousers hugging powerful thighs, a crisp white shirt stretched across his broad chest, and a tailored black coat draped over one shoulder. His dark hair caught the morning light, and those intense eyes scanned the ar

The photoshop scandal still haunted me like a shadow I couldn’t shake. Everywhere I went on Tuesday, people stared. Some smirked, some whispered. A few had the nerve to laugh openly. I kept my head high and my mouth shut, but inside I was screaming.By late afternoon, I couldn’t avoid it anymore. The project for Professor Damien Vale’s class was due by 5 p.m., and I had already missed the digital submission deadline because of the chaos. The only option left was handing it in physically at his office. My hands trembled as I clutched the USB drive and printed report. Zara offered to come with me, but I told her no. I needed to do this alone. The faculty building was quiet at this hour. My footsteps echoed down the polished hallway until I reached his door. Professor Damien Vale. The nameplate alone made my pulse race. I took a deep breath, knocked softly, and pushed the door open when I heard his low voice say, “Come in.”He was sitting behind his large oak desk like a king on a throne

The next morning, I woke up with a dull headache and the familiar knot of anxiety in my stomach. Another day of navigating my life Sophia, Lila, Julian, and the constant effort of pretending I wasn’t affected by any of it. I stared at my reflection in the small bathroom mirror, brushing my teeth harder than necessary. You’re invincible, Ava and you’ve survived worse. But some days it felt like a lie. The campus was bustling when I arrived. I kept my head down as I walked toward the business building, hoping to avoid drama before my first class. But a loud splash of liquid hit my back. I froze mid-step. Cold coffee soaked through my light blue blouse and dripped down my spine. Laughter erupted behind me. “Oops!” Sophia’s voice rang out, she was giggling. “My bad, Blake. I didn’t see you there. You really should stop blending into the background like a nobody.”Lila stood beside her, holding her own cup, smirking like she’d just won the lottery. A small crowd had already gathered, p
