MATE TIME

Kayla.

The look on the faces of everyone present at the park was so terrifying. They stared at me as though they’ve just seen a ghost and I wasn’t really bothered.

They all got involved in bullying me when I was still powerless. Whatever it was I showed them back there was only a tip of an iceberg and I was so ready to bring down the entire pack if that was what it took.

“Kayla!” I heard a voice that cut deep into my thoughts, prompting me to stop right in my tracks. The voice had some sort of effects that sent cold shivers down my spine.

“We aren’t meant to be feeling this way! This is a time for war and not for feelings”, I scolded my wolf for feeling all excited just because one of our mates were close by.

I let out a soft hiss and finally turned my head to the direction of the voice.

Jason took careful steps over to me. At first, it seemed as though he was quite scared and disturbed by the look I had on my face. However, he loosened up the minute he got to my front.
