“No, Adolphus, you need a good shower and a change of clothes before we go to see Maddie. Calm yourself down before we go to meet her. You know her very well. She doesn’t like anyone pitying her.” I instructed him sternly.

He growled in displeasure but I didn’t mind him. He was not only the future alpha but also my best friend.

And this was a friend’s instruction, not any disrespect.

“Fine.” He grumbled after some time and I grinned.

We were already on the stairs when someone called me from behind.

“You go; I will meet him first.” I said to Adolphus when I saw Nolan approaching us.

I walked back downstairs and met Nolan at the foot of the stairs. He was also our future gamma, as his elder brother had decided to pursue medicine instead of taking over the position from his father.
