Chapter 21: The Suspicion

I looked at the folded paper on my desk while taking a sip from my coffee. I was actually planning on showing Hera around the packhouse, but I felt like I had to uncover the secrets of this piece of paper as fast as possible.
The paper was folded, only showing its uppermost portion. There was more writing in the middle of the paper, but I didn’t bother opening it yet. The only words that were showing were “The Plan” in big and bold letters.
I tapped my fingernails on the table, eager yet anxious to unfold the piece of paper. For some reason, I felt like I was about to discover the reason for Hera’s vexation towards me. With trembling fingers, I held onto the corner of the paper, about to flip it open.
