Scene One: The First Sunrise After the Escape

Location: An abandoned wooden cabin on the edge of a forest, dozens of kilometers from Saint Petersburg.

The first rays of sunlight began slipping through the broken wooden windows.

For the first time in days...

the place was quiet.

Adam sat on an old chair while Nadia disinfected the wound on his shoulder.

He clenched his teeth when the antiseptic touched the injury.

Adam: “I’m starting to think you two actually enjoy torturing me.”

Nadia smiled.
