Chapter 3 - Dad, Mom is awake!

And now, this little boy is repeatedly calling her Mom. She does not want to ask the little boy as it may interpreted in a different way. It was okay at first the idea to ask her instant son of the situation but if she ask him his name and her information, the child may take it as if she denying him. He is basically a child and not know what is amnesia for her to act as a patient with an amnesia. She planned to wait to any adult where she can ask questions but the medicine is started to take effect and she feels sleepy again.

“I will sleep first and wake me up when your Aunt Melba or your father or anyone arrive.”

“Mom, don’t sleep. I don’t want you to sleep again, you’ve been sleeping for a month now and it was scary when you’re not waking up”, the little boy anxiously said.

“Don’t worry, I will surely wake up. I’m just sleepy because of the medicine that the doctor has given me to relieve the pain.” she patiently explained.

“Really?”

“Yes, don’t worry.” She assured the boy and can no longer fight her sleepiness.

When she wakes up again, it was already dark and although she can still felt the pain, it is tolerable and she doesn’t want to rely on the medicine if she can tolerate the pain. She felt the tingling sensation in her hand, and the heaviness and dizziness when she move her head are gone. She saw her instant son softly massaging her numb hand, which might be the reason why the numbness was gone.

“Mom, your awake! Dad, Mom is awake”

“Don’t shout”

“Opps, sorry, I’m just so excited. Mom, Aunt Melba prepares food for you. I will feed you.”

“Your too young for that, let your father do that”

“Okay” the little put the food container in a table while pouting and the man suddenly approach her bed and help her to set up.

“You don’t have to worry about your son, actually he can do the work.” She saw the man walk in her bedside and pick the food container her instant son was holding awhile ago.

Hmmp, not bad. Her instant husband is so handsome and she was practically mesmerized. She can 101% say that he is the most handsome men she saw in her entire life. He is typically my type.

She smile and thought that she can and legally can devour this male god.

Wait! am I having a perverted mind right now. Did she live her life so reserve that she wanted to experience what are the things she failed to experience in her life – like having a relationship. OMG! This is bad. She still believes that she has no regret in her life. Did she have regret of not being in a relationship. Anyways, that is not important right now, let’s check the situation first.

“How do you feel?” the man asked.

“Hmmm, I guess much better. But I’m so hungry, I want to eat” she said coquettishly.

OMG! What I sound like I’m flirting with this instant husband. This is not good, Arrianne hold yourself, you are definitely a conservative type and certified virgin and all the men you know called you an ice queen because you’re always have a poker face and always set a boundary when talking to any male species. She reminded herself.

“I mean...”

“Here, I will help you. Your hand may still feel numb right now, but it will be alright in a few days” he said while smiling. This is the first time that Harvey hears her speak in that way and it felt refreshingly good.

He started to feed her and she obediently open her mouth to eat the soup or rather the liquefied food.

“Hmmm, this is good using anchovies broth which enhance the seafood taste.” she said, which surprise the people around her because they never heard her praises the food she eat.

“What? Did I say something wrong?” she said with a confused look.

“No, its good that you like it. What else do you want to eat? I will let Aunt Melba to cook it for you.”

“I have no particular cravings right now. Besides, the doctor said that I need to eat liquefied food at least for two days. So, it would be hard if I will demand so much, I’ll just wait when I can eat solid food. By the way, have you discuss my condition to the attending doctor?”

“Yes.”

“When can I be discharge?”

“You still need to stay for a month for observation.”

“Huh! That long. Can I just recuperate at home?”

“Be good, we have to be sure with your condition and I don’t want to take a risk” the man strictly said but with a pampering tone.

Hmmm, domineering, tsundere type. Not bad. Okay, I will follow since it is for my own good.

“Okay” she pouted but agreed anyway. She has no choice, she doesn’t know her real situation.

“Don’t worry Mom, I will always accompany you”. She smiled and she saw that her instant son reddened face.

Feeling shy, she taught and smiled inwardly.

“Baby, are you not going back, its getting late.”

“No Mom, its Saturday and I will stay with you for the night.”

“Then, you rest first. A child should rest early so you can grow up, tall and handsome”

just like your father, she continued in her mind.

“Aunt Melba, can you help him first before you go” she said looking to the woman cleaning the utensils used, which she guess to be the Aunt Melba her instant son is referring.

“Yes, Madam”, Aunt Melba said and put the basin with water and a towel in the table. Her instant husband pick the towel and soaked to the water in the basin and started to clean her. This treatment is new to her and it feels good. She felt moved that someone will take care of her and not just herself.

“You can’t take a shower right now, maybe tomorrow. So, for now, you have to be patience with this just this.” The man said when he saw her looking at the basin of water.

“Okay, thank you, your service is very much appreciated.” she smile when she saw her instant husband blushing. Her instant son might inherited his father blushing. They definitely easy to be shy. Well, she? Of course she’s not that shy. In the life she remember, she always had a poker face and it new to her that she always wanted to smile in front of her instant son and husband. It is a good feeling when they blush.
