Chapter 96 - Birthday Gift

The next day, it was still dark outside when Adrian woke up. He immediately climbed out of bed and went to his parent’s room. He knocked softly but heard nothing, so he slowly opened the door and carefully climbed up in the middle of the bed, lay down, and hugged his mother before closing his eyes. Harvey opened his eyes. He can only shake his head but does not say anything. He carefully tugged the quilt to his wife and son and hugged them both.

When Ara woke up, she saw Harvey sitting in the bed with his laptop and Adrian with his book.

“Wake up?” Harvey said when he felt some movement in his wife’s side.

“Hmmm, Good morning, happy birthday, baby!” Ara said when she saw her son. She got up and hugged and kissed him.

“Good morning, Mom!”

“What time is it? Why didn’t you wake me up?” she turned to her husband.

“It’s still early. Don’t worry.”

“Let me prepare for our breakfast first before we go out.”

“Actually, why don’t we let Aunt Melba prepare our breakfast? You don’t have much rest
