Chapter 5 - Encounter

Sunday morning. The first day of the week- I feel sick; my entire body is weak. I can't get out of bed because I'm cold and weak. Unfortunately, I was the only one at home.

My Parents are currently in the Philippines for their business; They left yesterday. My eldest sister is out of town to visit her coffee shop in Kyoto, while one of my sisters lives abroad with her husband and daughter.

My family is in the middle class. We have lived in Ibaraki since I was born.

The Philippines is my second home, where my parents met and got married. I have two older sisters, and I am the youngest.

I looked at the clock, and it was only five in the morning. So I need to go back to sleep first, and maybe I'll feel better, and I will go to the convenience store later to buy my medicine and food.

Time flies by. It's already Ten o'clock in the morning, but Akira is still sleeping, and suddenly her phone is vibrating. Gin is calling him, and She didn't answer because she was still asleep. Two hours later, she finally woke up.

" Argh! My head is aching, but my body is a little lighter, and I can stand up somehow; I need to buy meds and stuff." I got out of bed, changed my clothes, put on a mask and jacket because I still felt terrible. While I was walking down the street, The skies turned gray to black, and it is a sign that heavy rain will pour down any time. So I started to walk as fast as I could, even though my body was still weak. After a minute, I finally reached the convenience store.

" Good Morning, Ma'am." - One of the staff in the convenience store welcomed me. I responded to him with a bit of smirk on my face and asked him, "I need to buy medicine for my cold; Where is that placed?".

He pointed to where the medicines were placed. Then, I walked away from where I was standing. I grab all the stuff that I need after I go to the counter to pay. A few minutes later, the torrential rain poured down.

"Shit! I don't have an umbrella, and there is still no stock of umbrellas here inside the convenience store, Whaaaaa!! What should I do? I can't go home and rush in the rain lest I get sicker." I murmured.

So, I have no choice but to wait until the rain stops, but it looks like it will take some more time. I went outside the store, and luckily there is a bench on the side. I sat down and waited for the miracle that the rain had stopped. My vision gradually blurred, my head was aching, and my body started to feel hot. I feel terrible.

An hour later, while the rain was still pouring down. Someone started poking me to wake me up; when I opened my eyes, I kind of figured out who he was, then I saw Mr. Inei Mizuki. I was shocked, and I couldn't believe it; he asked me If I was okay and traced on his face that he was worried.

"Hey, Akira, Are you okay? You looked pale and weak. What are you doing here?" He asked me.

" Erm, I just bought medicine and other stuff at the store, then suddenly the heavy rain poured, and I don't have an umbrella. I would have bought an umbrella at the store in case, but there was no stock left. So I am here expecting the miracle to happen. Wait. How did you know my name?" - I asked him, and I have a strange feeling about that.

" Ah. Okay, I asked Your Teacher, Mr. Ayumu Ito, and He told me your name," he said while quite shy to tell me the answer. " Why did you ask him about me? What is your purpose? Tell me." He replied immediately and said, " I've been attracted to you ever since I saw you at school; I asked you some random question so I can have a chance to talk to you, that is why."

I am a little bit dizzy, and I can't hear his answer. I started to feel weak.

"Hey!! Akira, What happened? You are trembling. I will take you home. Wait here, and I'll just get my car."

So, Mizuki hurriedly ran fast, and after a couple of minutes, he picked up Akira and got inside the car.

" Hey, Akira. Please tell me where you live. Let me know your exact address." I gave him my School ID and informed him, "My address was there. Please look at it." I whispered, and I started to pass out.

What will happen to Akira? And what will Mizuki do when they arrive at Akira's place?
