Chapter 2

Author: F
If not for Father’s pressure, I would have slapped her across the face without hesitation. Still, in a strange way, she did help me a little. Due to what happened, Father finally agreed to meet Seville.

When he returned, he approved of my choice. To Sarah, however, that only gave her another reason to mock me.

“Choosing a poor nobody? Lily, has your brain gone to mush?”

Sarah proudly showed off the marks Blake had left on her body.

“Blake is incredibly strong,” she bragged. “He says he can’t stay away from me. He needs me every single day. I can barely sleep through the night.”

She pretended to yawn and covered her mouth before suddenly apologizing. “Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot that you haven’t even met your fiancé yet. That Seville guy hasn’t shown up once. What if he’s actually too ugly to face anyone?”

Sarah smirked smugly. “Honestly, if you beg me, you can have Blake for one night each month.”

At that moment, a handsome young man walked toward us. His well-tailored coat emphasized his broad shoulders and narrow waist. His nose was sharp and straight, his features deep and striking. Most captivating of all was the mysterious scent that clung to him.

Sarah’s eyes lit up. She brushed her hair back and threw him a flirtatious look.

“Oh my God, he’s gorgeous,” she whispered. “With a nose like that, I can’t even imagine how big he must be.”

Then, she turned back to me, sympathy in her eyes. “If your Seville were even half as handsome as him, you wouldn’t be so pitiful.”

Just as she finished speaking, the handsome man stopped beside me and extended his hand.

“Hello. I’m Seville.” He took my hand gently and pressed a light kiss to the back of it before adding, “Your fiancé.”

Why hadn’t I noticed in my previous life… that he was so charming?

The look on Sarah’s face was priceless. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the time to enjoy it, as Blake had arrived as well. With one arm around Sarah’s waist, he led her toward the bedroom.

Before the door opened, Blake had slipped his hand inside Sarah’s clothes. Seemingly enjoying it, Sarah giggled and leaned up to kiss him. When the door shut behind them, I could hear Blake slapping her.

The noise pulled me back to memories from my previous life and Blake’s twisted need for control. Every day, he decided what I wore, from how long my skirts were to how high my heels could be. Even what I ate, what I drank, who I met, or what I said had to follow his rules. If I disobeyed him, Blake would tie my wrists and hang me up. Then, he would punish me with the little “games” he enjoyed.

Even in bed, everything had to follow his commands. From the position to the rhythm, and even when I was allowed to climax, depended entirely on him. If I failed to do it as I was told, there would be punishment.

Just thinking about his favorite tools—the cold wax candles and the short whip—made me shiver instinctively. No one knew how relieved I had been when I discovered I was pregnant in my previous life because I finally had an excuse to avoid sleeping with Blake.

“Are you cold?”

A coat, warm with body heat and carrying a cool, crisp scent, settled over my shoulders. Seville’s amber eyes were filled with concern. I thanked him, and he gestured for me to take his arm, leading me outside.

I hadn’t expected him to take me somewhere humans considered a classic date spot.

“I’m sorry,” Seville said. “I did a little research on my own. It seems you’re quite interested in human culture.”

We sat side by side on a park bench, awkward and stiff, like two strangers who had been forced together. The thought made me laugh quietly. Wasn’t that exactly what we were?

Seville spoke first. “Miss Lily, have you thought about your wedding?”

“This political marriage is unavoidable. Being forced to marry me is something you cannot refuse,” he said calmly. “But in other matters, I hope you can choose what you truly like. For example, the wedding itself.”

Curious, I asked, “What if I want Cinderella’s crystal carriage?”

“That can be arranged.”

“What if I want the wedding to be held in the Milky Way?”

“That might be difficult, but we could recreate a galaxy-themed setting.”

I stared at him in shock, asking, “What if I want a wedding dress woven entirely from pearls?”

Seville smiled, his gaze toward me gentle. “You can have anything you want.”

I didn’t quite believe him, but he was handsome enough that I was willing to forgive the exaggeration.

The date ended pleasantly. It was only upon returning home and being reminded by a servant that I realized I had been smiling the entire time.

A few days later, Seville sent someone to deliver a large box. Inside was a pearl wedding dress. He had really done it. Even though it wasn’t made entirely of pearls, a delicate outer layer of pearls was woven over white silk.

A small note accompanied it, written in elegant handwriting.

[I tried making it entirely from pearls, but it turned out far too heavy. So I only used one layer. I wouldn’t want you to lose all your strength on your wedding day. That is something meant for our wedding night.]

Sudden footsteps ran past my door. I heard Sarah crying and arguing with Blake, demanding a grand wedding. Blake responded impatiently that since they had slept together, a simple mating ceremony would be enough.

Naturally, Sarah refused. However, after two loud slaps, her protests turned into soft, breathy sounds. The dull rhythm of bodies colliding echoed from outside my room.

I sighed and decided not to leave my room for the moment. In some ways, Blake and Sarah really were quite well matched.

Blake caught Sarah as she collapsed, but she could no longer make a sound. In her final moments, there seemed to be a trace of regret in her eyes. However, before she could say anything, her hand fell heavily to the ground, her last breath gone. Blake threw his head back and let out a long, grief-stricken howl. With the Alpha of the Red Claw pack dead, the remaining red werewolves were quickly subdued by the Black Fang pack, who had finally broken through and taken control. Seville walked over to Blake and placed a hand on his shoulder, giving it a quiet pat.I attended Sarah’s funeral. Not many people came. Only Blake stood there, his face cold and unreadable, and Father, who cried so hard he could barely stand. Seville supported me gently from the side, one arm around me and my round belly.A light rain began to fall. Seville opened an umbrella over my head and stayed beside me as I placed a single flower in front of Sarah’s gravestone. With his help, I slowly straightened up. The

“I bet you didn’t see this coming, Blake,” Rhett said as he looked down at him from above. “So how does it feel to be stabbed in the back by your wife?”Blake didn’t even have the strength left to speak. However, from the hatred burning in his eyes, it was obvious the curses in his mind were vicious. One of Rhett’s men dragged a chair over for him. Rhett pulled Sarah into his arms and sat down with her. Then, he grabbed her chin and turned her face toward Blake, forcing him to watch as they kissed. When their lips finally parted, Sarah’s tongue was still extended, a thin silver strand stretching between them.Rhett slowly ran a hand over Sarah’s stomach and sneered at Blake. “What an idiot.”His sharp claws traced back and forth across her belly as he looked at her with mocking amusement.“How about I cut your stomach open,” he said, “and let him see whether there’s really a little wolf pup inside?”Sarah laughed sweetly, her soft fist lightly tapping against Rhett’s chest. Rhett

Rhett raised an eyebrow and looked down at Sarah with clear disdain. “You?”Sarah gestured for him to lean closer and whispered a few words into his ear.Rhett burst out laughing. “Very good, little wildcat. That bargaining chip of yours is worth the risk.”He left for a while. When he returned, he carried a small crystal bottle and forced the liquid inside it into Sarah’s mouth. Sarah’s body arched in pain. Bound by restraints on her limbs, she could only collapse heavily back onto the bed. Her pained groans seemed to excite Rhett. He pulled his pants down and grabbed her hair, sticking his length into her mouth. He mocked her. “Sweetheart, I’m really curious. How did you know I had this kind of potion, the kind that can fake a pregnancy so perfect that even witches and the elders can’t detect it?”Sarah’s mouth was completely occupied, leaving her unable to answer. Her eyes rolled back, and not a single word could escape her.Rhett waved it off. “Forget it. It doesn’t matter

Blake flew into a rage. He slammed Sarah to the ground and pinned her there so she couldn’t move.Struggling, she tried to defend herself. “We didn’t do anything yet! He didn’t get inside me. He forced himself on me! I couldn’t fight him off!”Blake dragged her to the shattered window that Rhett had crashed through earlier. He forced her against the frame, half her body hanging out into the open air. Her long hair whipped wildly in the wind.“You betrayed me!” he roared.Terrified of falling, Sarah clung desperately to the window frame. Shards of broken glass dug into her palms, but she had no choice except to grip tighter to keep her balance. Blood ran down her arms, and the scent of it made Blake’s eyes redden.Sarah burst into tears and pleaded with him. “I didn’t, darling. Please spare me, Master. I protected myself. Rhett didn’t have time to do anything. You can check me yourself, Master.”Blake yanked her away and dragged her into the bathroom before throwing her onto the f

The entire Black Fang pack was buzzing with excitement that their Alpha was about to gain unparalleled power. Sarah was especially proud of herself. She remembered what had happened in our previous life. Back then, Blake’s hidden bloodline had awakened only after I became pregnant with his child. So this time, as long as she got pregnant, she would become the Black Fang pack’s greatest contributor. Then, the love and tenderness from Blake that she had always coveted would finally be hers.Soon, everyone in the Black Fang pack began paying close attention to Sarah’s belly. However, two months passed, and there was still no sign of pregnancy.Meanwhile, one morning, Seville handed me a glass of milk as usual. Normally, I liked the sweet drink, but for some reason, it smelled overwhelmingly foul today. The moment the scent reached my nose, I couldn’t stop myself from vomiting.Seville’s expression immediately turned serious. He gently patted my back and quickly ordered someone to rus

  • My Second Marriage   Chapter 3

The day before the wedding, Seville asked me out. He took me to Moonlight Lake, deep within the Silverwind territory.Standing by the water, he called my name. This time, his voice was gentle, not the heartbroken roar I had heard just before my death in my previous life. Then, he dropped to one knee. In his hand was an open velvet box, and inside, a diamond ring sparkled under the moonlight.“Miss Lily, even though our marriage began as a political alliance, I believe you deserve a proposal.” Seville looked straight into my eyes, his expression solemn and sincere as he asked, “Will you marry me?”I blinked, then broke into a bright smile and held out my hand.“Of course.”As he slid the ring onto my finger, I felt the faint tremble in his hand. I reached out and held his fingers before rising on my toes and kissing the corner of his lips, triggering something deep within my soul. The Alpha of the Silverwind pack turned red in the ears.I returned home that day with a smile still
