Chapter 20- No Escape

Lily's POV

I was left with no choice but to step out of the car. Josh already saw Rogue and he looked so shocked as he stared at my face. His lips were parted and totally speechless.

"Uh…"

"T-That's…" he trailed off.

I scratched the back of my neck and squeezed my eyes closed. "Uh…Josh, he's my… I mean…"

I groaned and glanced at Rogue when he rolled down the window and leaned on the driver seat to look at us.

"What's taking you so long?"

I looked at Josh again. "He's my step cousin, Josh."

I don't know why I said that but I don't have plans to take it back. I saw the shock on Josh's face and Rogue's jaw dropped.

"Bye, Josh. We'll leave now."

I immediately slipped myself inside the driver seat again. Josh was still so shocked that he didn't have the chance to stop me. I drove the car as I glanced at Rogue. His jaws were constantly clenching and his eyes were darkly staring at me.
