CHAPTER 4

The event took off thirty minutes later, by this time more people had arrived and the chairs were filled. An elderly man was talking to the people now. Like Felix had guessed the event was to raise money for the kids, who are sadly living life on the street. It was something Felix first noticed when he arrived, back in Cunningham, it was hardly seen.

Felix was getting bored of the whole talk and although he wanted to help, he wished the man would just skip the whole story and get to the part where they are asked to donate money.

It's been an hour now and who looked to be the organizer was still giving a story of his years in his street. Felix was starting to get really bored now and has promised himself to leave if he would have to wait another minute listening to the story, but that thought was wiped away from his mind immediately when she walked in.

She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose. A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth gleamed as she blew gently on her carmine-red fingernails. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, moon shadow-black hair. Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes gazed at me over her puffy, heart shaped lips. She had a bouncy personality. Not content to be just another drone, she wore Kidult clothes in an offbeat way.

Felix watched her walk amongst the crowd close to the backstage, for half a second he could swear her eyes were on him. He didn't see her again after this and but she still remained on his mind.

After the event, Felix was hurrying out when he bumped into someone, pushing her purse to the floor. "Fuck, I'm so sorry." He went down to help with her purse. "Here," He said slowly standing upright to hand her the purse. "I wasOh, hello." It was her, smiling at him brilliantly, surprising him for someone whose purse he just knocked down.

"It's fine," she said with a wave of her hand in she has a sugary voice, which he adored "I wasn't looking also, I should have been paying more attention." She collected her purse from him. "Thank you." He nodded.

Felix racked his head for something else to say to her. He had no reason to still be standing before her, he knew he should walk away and he was going to, before she opened her mouth and spoke again. "You are the man Richard was talking about right?"

"The man?"

"Mr George?"

It felt so wierd hearing his other name from her lips. He would have loved to tell her to call him Felix, but he had to keep his identity hidden, also almost no one knew him as George. Back in his town, he wouldn't be surprised that even his parent has forgotten they gave him the name George, that's why he had gone with it. "Yes, that's my name. I didn't know I was quite relevant, that he would speak to you about me."

She chuckled. "Well, actually I'm a charity event manager and you donated generously earlier."

"So you are here to pull me to another?" He teased.

She smiled shyly, looking a bit embarrassed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like that," she apologized.

"It's fine. I'm just messing with you." He dipped his hands into his pocket and brought out a card. "I have somewhere to be so I have to leave now, but here is my number." He gave her the card. "If you would like to reach out, you can get to me through this."

"I will sir, thank you." But although he looked like he was in a hurry to leave, he was still before her, blocking her way.

"Sorry, I uh... didn't get your name?"

"My name is Kelly."

"Nice to meet you Kelly, you can call me Alex", Felix said stretching out his hand for a shake

Kelly also stretched out her hand but she suddenly stopped like something had told her not to, "Alex?", she finally asked

"Yeah, Alex", Felix said raising his eyebrows in sense of asking what was wrong

"George?", she asked again

"Oh!, that", Felix said and held out a long laugh, "I'd prefer you call me Alex", he added

"Alex", Kelly repeated and now taking the shake.
