Mag-log inViona refused to let go of Regan’s embrace; even when she fell asleep, she held Regan’s body tightly. For the first time, Regan felt restless. He couldn’t sleep even though the clock had struck 11 p.m. Regan remembered very well that Ravelina couldn’t sleep unless she saw his face. That’s why every time Regan lied about staying out with Viona, he often sent photos to Ravelina.
But this time, there wasn’t a single message or call from Ravelina. That woman was silent and indifferent, and somehow Regan began to feel a sense of loss. When Viona was fast asleep, Regan entered the room where Ravelina was. And for the first time, Ravelina slept soundly wrapped in a blanket without him.
Regan got on the bed; he hugged Ravelina slowly. The woman woke up and found Regan in her bed. “Let go,” she said flatly.
Regan was, of course, surprised. He stared at Ravelina’s expressionless face. “Didn’t you always want to sleep being hugged from behind?” Regan asked in disbelief, then looked at Ravelina, who now seemed to be ignoring him.
“No need anymore, I don’t need any of that. Go to the room where Viona is. Tonight is the last night I’ll be in this house. Tomorrow, I’m moving out.”
Ravelina’s cold words shocked Regan. For the first time, he was rejected by Ravelina—the wife who always acted spoiled and constantly sought his attention now ignored him. Regan watched as Ravelina went back to sleep and pulled the blanket over her whole body. His fingers were about to touch her shoulder, but he withdrew them.
Regan left the room, leaving Ravelina who ignored him. Meanwhile, Ravelina turned toward the door Regan had closed. Now there was no longer pity, nor the spoiled longing she used to feel. Ravelina’s heart was dead.
“Regan, I slept so well last night. Can I stay here from now on? Besides, I heard you two are getting a divorce?”
Viona acted up again this morning at the dining table, especially when she saw Ravelina joining breakfast. Regan watched Ravelina as Viona said that. His hands clenched tightly.
“Regan, can I?” Viona repeated. “Or should I ask Ravelina for permission?”
Viona truly had no shame. Feeling supported by Regan’s mother, she acted as she pleased.
“Of course you may stay here. No need to ask Ravelina,”
A familiar voice entered the room. Ravelina turned toward the figure— the woman she actually hated, for choosing to side with Regan rather than Kegan, her late lover.
“Mom,” Regan looked surprised to see his mother arrive at the residence. “Isn’t that too much, allowing Viona to stay here?” Regan objected to his mother’s words. The middle-aged woman looked between Regan and Ravelina alternately.
“Why? Aren’t you happy? Besides, it’s been five years and you still don’t have a child. Didn’t Viona already tell you about that?” His mother pointed toward Viona’s stomach.
Immediately, all eyes turned to Viona, including Ravelina. “What are you hiding from me, Viona?” Regan asked sharply. He didn’t like anything being hidden from him.
“It’s a surprise…”
“Say what?” Regan snapped. Viona flinched in shock; her expression changed instantly—Regan had never raised his voice at her. “Why are you yelling at me? I only hid my pregnancy because I respected Ravelina,” she answered, glancing at Ravelina who now looked at her with a cold gaze.
That shocked Viona even more, especially because Ravelina continued eating her breakfast, indifferent to her statement. “You’re pregnant? Why are you only saying it now?” Regan lowered his tone.
“Mom told me not to. Viona’s pregnancy is still early. That’s why I told her to stay here, and you must take care of her and the baby,” Mama Renata said firmly and sharply. Regan didn’t know how to respond now. He looked at Ravelina, who appeared indifferent.
Meanwhile Viona didn’t want Regan to shift his gaze or attention away from her. “Regan, I will stay here starting today… if Ravelina allows it…”
“Go ahead and stay here, I don’t mind,” Ravelina replied coldly, her gaze flat. Meanwhile Regan said, “Ravelina, didn’t you used to disagree about having another woman stay in this residence?” He looked at Ravelina, who seemed ready to leave the table.
Ravelina didn’t move despite stopping her steps. “I don’t mind. Besides, I’m moving out of this place, and we’re getting a divorce. I’m not going to argue about things that no longer matter to me.”
Ravelina said that with a cold look, her expression completely blank. Everyone in the room was shocked, including her mother-in-law and Viona. Then Ravelina left, walking away from everyone.
“How arrogant she is! She can’t even give you a child, and now she wants a divorce? Just divorce her already. I’m tired of seeing her shameless behavior.”
“Regan won’t divorce Ravelina!”
Regan refuted his mother’s words, which shocked Viona. “Regan, but you said you’d divorce her after I got pregnant, but…”
“Enough, Viona. Mom!”
Regan ordered both of them to be silent. He walked away from Viona and his mother and headed to Ravelina’s room. As soon as he opened the door, he saw Ravelina packing her belongings.
“You’re leaving?”
The question slipped out of Regan’s mouth. Ravelina didn’t turn toward him even a little. She remained indifferent and continued packing her things into her suitcase.
“Of course, we’re getting a divorce. I already asked my lawyer to handle it. You’ll also be marrying Viona. So there’s no reason for me to stay in this residence,” Ravelina replied without looking at Regan even once.
Meanwhile, the man kept watching Ravelina, even though she was right beside him. But her silence built a high wall between them.
“You’re still here?”
Ravelina looked at Regan who stood unmoving, the owner of Dominic Group seemingly unable to leave the room.
Because he didn’t answer, the woman pulled her suitcase and walked toward the exit. But as she passed him, suddenly—
“Don’t go.”
Regan pulled Ravelina into his arms. “Don’t go, Ravelina.”
Ravelina fell silent, shocked—she never expected Regan to hug her now. Usually, she was the one who hugged Regan and acted spoiled.
Ravelina pulled away from his embrace, then looked at the face of the man who owned Dominic Group. “I have to go, Regan. There’s nothing left for us to hold on to in this marriage.”
Ravelina grabbed her suitcase and left Regan in the room. She walked out the door, but at that moment Regan chased after her and pulled her back into his arms.
“Don’t go. I want you to stay by my side.”
As Ravelina and Regan had suspected, Emma secretly searched through Ravelina and Regan’s bedroom. She was looking for where the CCTV camera was placed in that room. But no matter how hard she searched, no matter how many times she checked the room, she still found nothing at all.“There’s nothing, there’s nothing here at all! They made it up just to scare me so I’d leave this residence,”“I won’t leave, I’ll stay here and get Regan! This man is ideal, I want to have him no matter what it takes.”Emma would not give up on Regan. She would do anything to get that man. So Emma returned to her room, having found nothing she was looking for. She felt relieved, assuming that their accusations about the CCTV camera were nothing but empty talk. But on the other hand, Regan and Ravelina were enjoying their time together, Ravelina’s pregnancy had already reached four months. Moreover, it was a baby boy.“He’s a boy, our baby is a boy!”Ravelina smiled as she said that to her husband, Regan. Thi
Emma began to grow restless; she could not sleep soundly tonight. Her thoughts suddenly turned to the CCTV mentioned by Aunt Renata. Emma woke up sitting on her bed, tied her long hair, then got down from the bed. She slowly walked out of her room, watching Ravelina’s room. How could she get into that room?Emma thought quickly, carefully observing Ravelina’s guards.“How can I get into that room?”Emma cursed in frustration, and her chance was only until tomorrow afternoon, because by tomorrow night Ravelina’s condition would surely have improved. The woman would begin to be interrogated tomorrow afternoon.Emma hit a dead end and slowly walked back, her throat beginning to feel dry.But as she headed toward the kitchen, there were two servants who seemed to be arranging newly delivered food supplies.“This is a drink for Mrs. Ravelina’s fetal health; we must give it to her tomorrow morning before Madam goes to the hospital!”One servant reminded the other. At that moment Emma fell s
Tension erupted that night. Emma revealed her dark side. She showed what her true intentions were and the reason she came to Seattle; it was clearly reflected on her face. But this time, the one Emma faced was not only Ravelina. There was also the figure of Mama Renata, who this time would remove Emma from this residence. After dinner ended, Emma was not allowed to be at the same table as Aunt Renata, while Regan and Ravelina were in their room; the two of them even enjoyed dinner with servants bringing it to their room.Emma was not given a chance even to meet Ravelina; the sly woman was forbidden from seeing Ravelina.“You are not allowed to enter!”The door was guarded by Regan’s personal bodyguards; even Emma was forbidden to pass in front of that bedroom door.“I want to talk to my cousin,...”“You are prohibited,” the guard refused, “RAVELINA, I WANT TO TALK,...”Emma’s arm was yanked hard by Renata, then a slap landed on her face. “Ahh,”A burning sensation spread across the wo
Ravelina was utterly shocked to see what was happening in this room—her husband and her cousin were embracing on the floor. Worse still, Regan’s position was extremely compromising, his body pinning down Emma, who was not wearing a single piece of clothing.Nervous, trembling, and with anger instantly burning in his chest, Regan stood up and immediately approached Ravelina.“Darling, darling, this is,…”“Ahhh,”A slap landed on Regan’s cheek. Ravelina grabbed the pajamas that had fallen to the floor and then threw them at Emma.“She seduced me,” Emma accused dramatically, casting a suffering look at everyone in the room. “I was taking a shower and I heard Regan looking for you. I hurriedly told him that you had gone out, but he pulled me!” Emma presented false testimony and a face like a victim to her.Ravelina wanted to speak up but, “AKHH!”Her stomach suddenly hurt terribly. Regan immediately moved closer. But his arm was brushed away by Ravelina. “You’re in pain,” Regan said. Then
A bowl of fragrant meat soup and bread was served by Emma to Ravelina this afternoon. The woman was sitting relaxed, waiting for her mother-in-law to arrive; Renata had promised to take her shopping for maternity dresses.“Eat first, Ravelina. This meat soup is very delicious.”Emma served the soup, Ravelina smiled and asked Emma to sit near her, “Sit down, Emma, I want to talk to you,” Ravelina asked her cousin to sit beside her.“What do you want to say? But coincidentally, I also want to tell you something,” Emma intended to toy with the situation, so she reached for Ravelina’s warm fingers.“I want to stay here for another week,” Emma showed a sad expression, “Actually, it’s not that I have no reason for coming to Seattle, but I had a fight with both of my parents, there was a misunderstanding between me and my superior at my workplace.”Emma explained about herself who was now in Finland, “You have a problem with your superior?” Ravelina asked, especially as Emma was holding her
“You’re very beautiful, darling,”Regan praised Ravelina; her pregnancy had reached four months. Her belly was starting to show a little, and that made Ravelina look even more beautiful in Regan’s eyes.“With this belly of mine?” Ravelina asked, greatly admiring her slightly protruding stomach. “Yes, I really like looking at it,” Regan drew closer and placed a light kiss on her; he looked at Ravelina, who did not avert her gaze from him.“You’re very beautiful with this protruding belly,”Regan continued to praise Ravelina; it felt as though this woman was the only one he wanted. Ravelina caressed Regan’s face, which was now resting on her thigh as a pillow.“Are you seducing me?”Ravelina chuckled softly as she said that, while Regan remembered to convey something to Ravelina.“Darling, Viona was sentenced to more than a dozen years in prison, whereas I had hoped she would receive a life sentence,”Regan conveyed the latest news about Viona, because it had been a very long time since
