Whatever this man was doing to me was either going to be the death of me or my complete undoing.

I lay flat on the bed, eyes on the ceiling, trying to catch my breath. My hair was scattered across the pillow and my whole body ached. My head pulsed so badly I could practically see the inside of my skull.

Darnell shifted closer and rested his head on my shoulder, breathing into my neck, one hand settling on my hip under the blanket.
