His eyes searched mine, but his hand was still fisted. I instantly turned backward to where Lucas sat; his attention was on his phone. He had no idea what was going on here. I immediately sprinted off, just like he ordered. Everywhere was crowded, and navigating outside the hall was hard. Curses filled the air as I kept bumping into different people, my heart beat against my chest with so much intensity. His voice was all over my head, it contaminated every remaining good part of me.
