"Dad, isn't Caspian interested in women?" Callista asked her father while they were having dinner together.
"Why do you ask that?" Kairos gave her a puzzled look.
"I've never seen him with a woman. At his age, he should already have a girlfriend." Callista expressed the anxiety that was in her heart. She felt that Caspian needed someone to share his feelings with so that his coldness would lessen. She felt sorry because her stepbrother was living a life of boredom. As long as he knew Caspian, he had never seen the man smile, let alone laugh. His life must be full of burdens.
"I don't know about that; he's very private. I tried many times to get close to him, but he chose to stay away. I don't know anything about him." Kairos expressed his sadness. Although he rarely showed his feelings, he was quite distressed about his relationship not being okay with Caspian. As a father, he wanted to be closer. He wanted Caspian to make him a place to vent all feelings.
Callista sighed harshly. Now she understood why Caspian had such a cold and rude attitude.
"Where is Caspian? Cally, you call him to eat." Lysandra gave orders to her daughter.
Callista immediately nodded vigorously.
"Let the maid do it; you continue eating." Kairos held back. He didn't want to make Callista live with the difficulty of dealing with Caspian's always bad mood.
"It's okay, Dad. I want my relationship with Caspian to be even closer." Callista, said as she left. She walked with excitement to Caspian's room.
Inside the room, Caspian was lying on his bed with pain all over his body. His face was red from the pain. His fingernails were elongated, his eyes were red, and his body was covered with thick hair. It seems he had injected the wrong vaccine on the road this afternoon. The vaccine he took from the dashboard drawer had the wrong dosage, which had a bad effect on his body.
From the front door of the room, Callista heard a moaning sound. The moans sounded unfamiliar and full of pain. Callista was immediately panicked; she remembered the incident in the car this afternoon, when Caspian endured the pain while injecting his own arm. She thought that Caspian's pain was really very severe.
Without thinking at all, Callista immediately opened the bedroom door. She was too panicked to ask permission before entering. Fortunately, the door was not locked from the inside, so Callista could enter easily.
"Are you okay?" Callista asked with concern; she stepped closer to make sure. She could not see anything, as the room lights were not on. There was only darkness and the sound of groans of pain.
Caspian was surprised when he realized Callista was in his room. He wanted to kick her out, but he also needed her help.
"Please call Professor Ethan; I need his help." Caspian said through the pain.
Callista was silent for a moment. She tried to digest what was happening because Caspian's voice sounded different than usual.
"Hurry up, I can't take it anymore!" Caspian raised his voice.
"Give me your cell phone!" Callista immediately hurried because she was afraid of the man's yelling.
"I don't know where my cell phone is; if I did, I wouldn't need your help."
"Did you memorize the number?"
"Yeah."
Callista immediately took out her cell phone from her pocket; she started typing the row of numbers Caspian had spoken. Contacting Professor Ethan and asking him to come according to Caspian's request.
"He will arrive in fifteen minutes." Callista tried to calm down after she disconnected the call.
Caspian did not respond.
"Do I need to tell Mom and Dad about your illness?" Callista asked hesitantly.
"Don't try to tell anyone!" Caspian said in a threatening tone.
Callista hissed softly. She did not know why Caspian did not want others to know that he was sick. To Callista, it was strange. As severe as Caspian's current illness was, he shouldn't have to feel embarrassed. Their parents would be very disappointed if such important information was kept from them.
"Get out of here now!" Caspian was rudely shooed away. He didn't even say thank you at all after Callista provided help.
Callista did not want to create any trouble, so she headed for the exit. Before she left the room, she turned on the room light to brighten the room. She thought it was pitch black because Caspian was unable to turn on the lights. However, her heart stopped beating when she turned to the bed and found a werewolf lying there in pain. Callista's face paled, her body shaking violently. She even stopped breathing for a few moments.
"W-who are you? Where's my brother?" Callista said in a trembling voice. She was really scared to death now.
Werewolves were very dangerous and deadly; that much Callista knew. If the werewolf was living in this house, it meant that all of them were in danger.
Now Callista's memory began to return to a few nights ago, when a werewolf entered her room and left Caspian's bracelet there. Then that afternoon, when the man injected something into him on their way home. And now, a werewolf was lying in pain on the bed. Now she came to a conclusion: the werewolf was Caspian.
"Y—you're Caspian?” Callista said in a weak and trembling voice. She did not believe it at all. If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have thought that her stepbrother was a werewolf.
"Cally! What took you so long? Is Caspian in his room?" Lysandra called out as she stepped closer to the room.
Callista's heart skipped a beat when she heard her mother's voice. Her face grew pale. She was sure that no one knew about this matter, so she would also keep it a secret from anyone, as she did not want to make Caspian angry and finish him off.
Caspian turned to look at Callista sharply. That look seemed to emphasize to Callista to keep her mouth shut.
Callista quickly left the room and closed the door tightly.
"Mom, Caspian isn't feeling well and asked me to bring his dinner to his room." Callista lied so that her mother would not get suspicious.
"Do I need to call a doctor for him? He rarely gets sick; maybe he's just tired from work." Lysandra looked worried about her son.
"N-no need. He just asked me to get some medicine from the first aid kit and bring him something to eat." Callista tried to reassure.
Lysandra stepped closer. She wanted to confirm her son's condition; she wanted to check on him so she could rest easy.
"Mom, you can't come in. He said he has a cold and doesn't want to infect anyone. I called the professor; he should be here any minute." Callista held her mother back.
"Is it that bad? You look really panicked." Lysandra was even more worried after seeing the expression on her daughter's face. She turned the doorknob, still wanting to get in so she could find out how badly Caspian was hurt.
"Mom, he has an infectious disease. If you go in, you'll catch it. I've already gone in and touched him, so I'm panicking and afraid of getting infected. Please don't go in." Callista held her mother's hand, she had a serious face, her eyes looked teary. There seemed to be a lot of burden and fear depicted on her face.
Seeing the look of fear on her daughter's face, Lysandra discouraged her from entering. She returned to the dining room and resumed the dinner that had been interrupted. Callista also rejoined them. She looked very pale, her fingers trembling as she held the spoon and fork. She really looked like a traumatized person."Cally, are you okay?" Kairos noticed the strange thing that happened to his daughter.Callista looked up, she nodded slowly with a forced smile. She was really scared to death right now. She was afraid that Caspian would kill her because she knew his secret."Dad, are you really human?" Callista asked with a weak and trembling voice. Her voice was barely even audible."What? Are you asking me something?" Kairos asked to make sure, because he didn't hear clearly.Callista shook her head slowly. She was getting more and more scared now, scared if it turned out that her stepfather was also a werewolf."Sir, ma'am, we have a visitor. They say it's Professor Ethan who was as

"Let go of her!" Orion gripped Caspian's arm firmly. He stared intently, so deadly. His powerful aura was so dominating.Caspian released his grip on Callista's arm. He returned Orion's gaze even more sharply; for a few moments, they stared at each other. The people who were there began to conjecture, thinking that this was a love triangle. They were very jealous of Callista being fought over by two handsome and rich men."Long time no see, Casper." Orion said with such a sardonic tone and look.Callista frowned. Casper's nickname for Caspian was only known to those closest to him. Even Callista herself did not dare to call him by that title because she felt that her relationship with Caspian was not that close."You know each other?" Callista looked at Orion with a questioning look."We more than know each other. Isn't that right, friend?"Callista was quite surprised. In the three years she had been Caspian's step-sister, she had never heard Orion's name mentioned. Nor had she ever
"What do you mean?" Lysandra asked with a furrowed brow. She walked over to her daughter, looking at her with a questioning look.Callista looked stunned; she didn't know where to start. She thought Caspian must be in danger because the man's bracelet had fallen off the body of the werewolf who had just left her room. She couldn't say that because she had promised not to tell anyone. She was afraid that the werewolf would come back and kill her."What happened to Caspian?" Kairos asked because he was very worried about his son. Especially since his relationship with Caspian had been very bad lately.Callista bit her lower lip. She didn't know what to say, but her body language showed that she was really panicking."Caspian... he— Callista's speech stopped. She really couldn't explain anything."What happened to your brother?" Lysandra shook her daughter's body, as she was completely panicked by the expression on Callista's face.Caspian, who had successfully transformed back into huma
Caspian ran with his breath caught in his throat. His heart was beating so fast, his breathing sounded so rushed, and his longer legs were trying to run even faster. He was running away from a group of men carrying rifles."Search until you find it; don't let go!" The shout echoed through the hustle and bustle of the city at night.Recently, news of werewolf sightings had become a hot topic of conversation in the city of Ottawa. It has caused serious problems, as people have become afraid to go out at night. Although no victims have been found dead as a result of werewolf attacks, they still consider it a deadly threat.Caspian jumped over the fence, then climbed the wall until he entered a room. Unfortunately, he entered the wrong room."Arght!” The shout sounded so resounding and deafening. The surprised Caspian immediately approached and clutched Callista's mouth."Shut up, or I'll kill you!" Caspian whispered in a threatening tone.Callista fell silent with bulging eyes and bated
