LOGIN"Dad, isn't Caspian interested in women?" Callista asked her father while they were having dinner together.
"Why do you ask that?" Kairos gave her a puzzled look.
"I've never seen him with a woman. At his age, he should already have a girlfriend." Callista expressed the anxiety that was in her heart. She felt that Caspian needed someone to share his feelings with so that his coldness would lessen. She felt sorry because her stepbrother was living a life of boredom. As long as he knew Caspian, he had never seen the man smile, let alone laugh. His life must be full of burdens.
"I don't know about that; he's very private. I tried many times to get close to him, but he chose to stay away. I don't know anything about him." Kairos expressed his sadness. Although he rarely showed his feelings, he was quite distressed about his relationship not being okay with Caspian. As a father, he wanted to be closer. He wanted Caspian to make him a place to vent all feelings.
Callista sighed harshly. Now she understood why Caspian had such a cold and rude attitude.
"Where is Caspian? Cally, you call him to eat." Lysandra gave orders to her daughter.
Callista immediately nodded vigorously.
"Let the maid do it; you continue eating." Kairos held back. He didn't want to make Callista live with the difficulty of dealing with Caspian's always bad mood.
"It's okay, Dad. I want my relationship with Caspian to be even closer." Callista, said as she left. She walked with excitement to Caspian's room.
Inside the room, Caspian was lying on his bed with pain all over his body. His face was red from the pain. His fingernails were elongated, his eyes were red, and his body was covered with thick hair. It seems he had injected the wrong vaccine on the road this afternoon. The vaccine he took from the dashboard drawer had the wrong dosage, which had a bad effect on his body.
From the front door of the room, Callista heard a moaning sound. The moans sounded unfamiliar and full of pain. Callista was immediately panicked; she remembered the incident in the car this afternoon, when Caspian endured the pain while injecting his own arm. She thought that Caspian's pain was really very severe.
Without thinking at all, Callista immediately opened the bedroom door. She was too panicked to ask permission before entering. Fortunately, the door was not locked from the inside, so Callista could enter easily.
"Are you okay?" Callista asked with concern; she stepped closer to make sure. She could not see anything, as the room lights were not on. There was only darkness and the sound of groans of pain.
Caspian was surprised when he realized Callista was in his room. He wanted to kick her out, but he also needed her help.
"Please call Professor Ethan; I need his help." Caspian said through the pain.
Callista was silent for a moment. She tried to digest what was happening because Caspian's voice sounded different than usual.
"Hurry up, I can't take it anymore!" Caspian raised his voice.
"Give me your cell phone!" Callista immediately hurried because she was afraid of the man's yelling.
"I don't know where my cell phone is; if I did, I wouldn't need your help."
"Did you memorize the number?"
"Yeah."
Callista immediately took out her cell phone from her pocket; she started typing the row of numbers Caspian had spoken. Contacting Professor Ethan and asking him to come according to Caspian's request.
"He will arrive in fifteen minutes." Callista tried to calm down after she disconnected the call.
Caspian did not respond.
"Do I need to tell Mom and Dad about your illness?" Callista asked hesitantly.
"Don't try to tell anyone!" Caspian said in a threatening tone.
Callista hissed softly. She did not know why Caspian did not want others to know that he was sick. To Callista, it was strange. As severe as Caspian's current illness was, he shouldn't have to feel embarrassed. Their parents would be very disappointed if such important information was kept from them.
"Get out of here now!" Caspian was rudely shooed away. He didn't even say thank you at all after Callista provided help.
Callista did not want to create any trouble, so she headed for the exit. Before she left the room, she turned on the room light to brighten the room. She thought it was pitch black because Caspian was unable to turn on the lights. However, her heart stopped beating when she turned to the bed and found a werewolf lying there in pain. Callista's face paled, her body shaking violently. She even stopped breathing for a few moments.
"W-who are you? Where's my brother?" Callista said in a trembling voice. She was really scared to death now.
Werewolves were very dangerous and deadly; that much Callista knew. If the werewolf was living in this house, it meant that all of them were in danger.
Now Callista's memory began to return to a few nights ago, when a werewolf entered her room and left Caspian's bracelet there. Then that afternoon, when the man injected something into him on their way home. And now, a werewolf was lying in pain on the bed. Now she came to a conclusion: the werewolf was Caspian.
"Y—you're Caspian?” Callista said in a weak and trembling voice. She did not believe it at all. If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have thought that her stepbrother was a werewolf.
"Cally! What took you so long? Is Caspian in his room?" Lysandra called out as she stepped closer to the room.
Callista's heart skipped a beat when she heard her mother's voice. Her face grew pale. She was sure that no one knew about this matter, so she would also keep it a secret from anyone, as she did not want to make Caspian angry and finish him off.
Caspian turned to look at Callista sharply. That look seemed to emphasize to Callista to keep her mouth shut.
Callista quickly left the room and closed the door tightly.
"Mom, Caspian isn't feeling well and asked me to bring his dinner to his room." Callista lied so that her mother would not get suspicious.
"Do I need to call a doctor for him? He rarely gets sick; maybe he's just tired from work." Lysandra looked worried about her son.
"N-no need. He just asked me to get some medicine from the first aid kit and bring him something to eat." Callista tried to reassure.
Lysandra stepped closer. She wanted to confirm her son's condition; she wanted to check on him so she could rest easy.
"Mom, you can't come in. He said he has a cold and doesn't want to infect anyone. I called the professor; he should be here any minute." Callista held her mother back.
"Is it that bad? You look really panicked." Lysandra was even more worried after seeing the expression on her daughter's face. She turned the doorknob, still wanting to get in so she could find out how badly Caspian was hurt.
"Mom, he has an infectious disease. If you go in, you'll catch it. I've already gone in and touched him, so I'm panicking and afraid of getting infected. Please don't go in." Callista held her mother's hand, she had a serious face, her eyes looked teary. There seemed to be a lot of burden and fear depicted on her face.
“Honey, are you okay?” Orion asked worriedly after Callista woke up. He held her hands, his eyes showing immense anxiety.“I don’t want this child. Why did I have to be pregnant with his child?” Callista burst into tears. Her cheeks were wet with tears. She sobbed. Her shoulders heaved with sobs.Orion squeezed the back of her hand gently. He smiled lovingly. He stroked the top of Callista’s head affectionately.“I don’t want you to suffer because you have to have an abortion. Let’s have this child and care for it together. Whether he’s mine or not, I’ll still love him,” Orion said in a reassuring tone.“I don’t want to. I feel disgusted every time I think about being pregnant with his child. You know how much I hate him.” Callista continued to refuse. She was literally going to go crazy if she kept thinking about it.“Callista!” Kairos and Lysandra ran into the room to approach Callista. They rushed to the hospital after receiving news that Callista had fainted due to pregnancy. Orio
"How's Callista?" Lysandra asked after Orion left the consultation room. Today they were seeing a psychiatrist to treat Callista's mental health problems stemming from recent events."She's much better. She asked to speak with the psychiatrist privately, so I left," the handsome man answered calmly. He had never felt this calm after all the troubles Callista had been through. He could only breathe a sigh of relief after Callista's parents learned of their plight. Caspian had now left their home, and no one knew where he was. At least Callista would feel safe from now on. Home was finally a place of comfort again, no longer a hell that brought her so much fear and torment. They waited there for a long time, until Callista also emerged from the room. Her face looked much calmer. The smile finally returned, and her eyes symbolized happiness.Lysandra immediately rose to her feet and approached her. She hugged her daughter tightly. She couldn't imagine how much Callista had suffered.“I’m
“How many times have you done it?” Kairos interrogated him in the living room. It was just the two of them. Lysandra and Orion were busy taking care of Callista.“I’ve only done it twice. It’s no big deal. Callista and I aren’t related by blood. It’s natural for us to have sexual attraction. She’s been in this house for years, and there’s no harm in her offering her body for me to enjoy,” Caspian replied casually.Kairos was completely shocked by his son’s response. His chest ached. He touched his chest to ease the pain. His face was flushed, his jaw clenched, and the veins in his neck were clearly visible.“You’ve truly disappointed me. I’ve never had a son as horrible as you,” Kairos said, deeply disappointed.“I only made love to her, and she enjoyed it immensely. No harm was done to anyone.” Caspian tried to defend himself.“Enjoyed, you say? Can’t you see how much trauma you’ve caused her?” Orion retorted, his emotions soaring. He descended the stairs with an indescribable feelin
"I'll be fine, so you don't need to worry," Callista tried to reassure him as Orion and his parents were about to leave. She was willing to stay longer at the house to spend more time with her family before she got married. Her facial expressions and eyes showed that she wanted to go. Deep down, she was convinced she wasn't safe there. However, she pushed those feelings aside to please her parents.Reluctantly, Orion returned home without Callista. He was very anxious, unsure whether Callista would be safe with Caspian at home. Although Lysandra and Kairos were there, they weren't with her all the time. Caspian had plenty of opportunities to harm Callista.Callista smiled reluctantly. She waved goodbye, watching as Orion and his parents disappeared into the distance."There's no need to feel sad. Orion is just returning home, not wanting to go far away." Lysandra tried to be understanding.Callista nodded in agreement."You should rest now; you're not fully recovered yet," Kairos said
"Uncle, I understand that you don't want to discriminate between Caspian and Callista. You must love them both very much, which is why you asked Caspian to join us. However, with all due respect, I don't want Caspian to disrupt the atmosphere like he did now. I don't want Caspian to attend our engagement or our wedding." Orion expressed his feelings. He had been trying to repair his relationship with Caspian. However, after what Caspian did to Callista, he was furious and considered him his worst enemy. The friendship they had built over the years was no longer his."Isn't that too much? You know Caspian is very temperamental. You've known each other for decades. You know Caspian very well. What he says doesn't always match what's in his heart. Please don't punish him so harshly." Kairos tried to defend his son.No matter what Kairos said, it couldn't change Orion's decision. He didn't want Caspian at their important event. Not only because he would mess things up, but also because Ca
“Honey, look at me!” Orion said softly once they were alone. He cupped Callista’s face with his palms. He looked deeply into her eyes. They stared at each other for a moment.“Calm down, honey. I promised you I’ll be safe as long as I’m here. If you hear that bastard’s name or meet him, don’t show your fear. He only does things he doesn’t want you to do because he thinks you won’t fight back. Show him that you’re not afraid because you have me by your side.” Orion pressed every word.Calista remained silent.“Your parents have agreed for you to move in with me. This is your last day. We can move in tonight after the farewell party, so you don’t need to be afraid anymore. That bastard will never touch you again if you live with me. I promise I’ll protect you with all my life. If he threatens your safety, please don’t be angry with me if I act brutally against him.” Orion spoke firmly.Calista remained silent. She bit her lower lip as she continued to stare at Orion.“You trust me, righ
