CHAPTER 7

~ NATALIA ~

I was having a breakdown with all mixed emotions. I was happy, shocked, relieved, and angry at the same moment.

I was relieved to see my mother standing in front of me when my mate opened the door of the bathroom where we had just mated. But the anger took over me when I saw the pain in her eyes that soon glistened her cheeks.

She looked at me and my mate with suspicion, probably wondering what, why, when, and how and there’s one more emotion that I couldn’t interpret because as always she hid it swiftly. From what I saw, it was enough to make me sure that it was, maybe- anger.

No one uttered a word. My mother was too shocked to say anything and I… I was relieved that she was okay...and Alive.

A thread of tears broke out of my emerald eyes and I called for her with a shaky voice, “Mom…”

That word was like, someone had thrown a stone into the still lake water because it splattered on everyone in different ways and amounts.
