LENA.

The next morning, I woke up with so much joy. I was happy that I would finally be with Alexander for the rest of my life. By five in the morning, I was done attending to my dad. I paid extra attention as this was going to be the last time I would be taking care of him.

He was awake by the time I was done cooking. I sat in front of him and placed the food on his lap. He didn't say a word to me even as I watched him.

“Dad?” I called.

He did not respond. He gently took some of the toasted eggs into his mouth. It was as if I wasn't in the room with him. He had his eyes on the plate, a sad expression etched on his face. Disdain spreading in both of his eyes.

“Dad, I want to hug you.” I let out. I wanted nothing more than to wrap my hands around him as this might be the last time I would see him.

I saw his hands pause before he raised his head and looked at me. He stared at me, the anger in his eyes ever strong. They showed me how much he hated me and blamed me for the things th

LENA. “My babies, don’t touch my babies, please,” I begged hoping she would hear me. I desperately needed her to listen to me. Why wouldn’t she listen to me? Tears slipped down my cheeks and my hands trembled at the sight in front of me. She was walking toward the volcano, holding my kids upside down. She was going to kill them. I was unable to move because I was bound to a tree. She kept walking toward the fire and I screamed at the top of my lungs desperately fighting for her to let them go. But she did not respond to me. My heart hammered in my chest, and the fear of losing two children at the same time crawled up on me like thousands of spiders. Why would anyone choose to be so wicked? These are children. Children! They are just children! The next second, my eyes flung open. Beads of sweat had filled my forehead. My hands trembled…. so did my body. I looked around me and realized I was in a room. A modernized room. What was going on? Where was I?What about Royce and Tr

ALEXANDER. “The blackmoon pack used to be the best in the state. Alpha Nathan worked hard for the benefit of the pack and it became the strongest. Soon, his son, a mad Alpha took over. I never saw him because I wasn’t in the pack at that time; he ruled. He made the pack much stronger. His aura was crazier than that of any Alpha who ruled, but he was a mad Alpha. Like actually mad.” Lans corked his head to the side, “Are you listening at all?” He asked making me shift my gaze to him. The pack. We just crossed the pack border and why the hell for everything in my body change? Every hair on my skin was standing on end. Every nervous system was ringing and contracting. Why did it feel like the land was communicating with me? The trees. Nature. My ears tingled and for some reason, I felt my senses on alert. However, it could be because of the discovery about Lena. Finding out she had babies. Not just one but two. I knew we had to talk yet a part of me was scared the outcome of the conv

AEXANDER. They are Lena’s kids. She never told me she had kids. Never.Shit. No wonder I felt connected to them just like I did with their mother. She never put it in her files that she was a mother. Was she ashamed of them? But who would be ashamed of kids as beautiful and smart as them? Where the hell was their father? “Lena likes Royce. She wants Royce and not you. Why do you care about them? Do you actually want to be their father? ” My subconscious uttered in the back of my head, reminding me how she had chosen to work with Royce and not me. A voice pulled me back to reality, “It is you.” Lucia's eyes lifted with excitement and then she stretched her hand toward me which I took instantly. “Yes Granny, and he won the game!” Isna chimed in, her voice soft and calm. She sounded so excited and for some reason I was truly glad about her excitement. “Really?” Lucia smiled at me. “She’s been on about you. They have never won the game. How did you win against the brutal Alphas?

ALEXANDER. According to the rule that governs all school games, violence was one of the things that was forbidden. “Looks like you didn’t win despite trying to be a smart ass.” Ken walked over, hands in his pockets and a grin on his face. I chuckled. “You didn't think I was competitive and smart?” “Are you?” He raised his brows, mockingly. I stepped closer, my face a few inches away from his. “You really think I would let you punch me in front of my little ones without retaliating for nothing?” My tone came out clipped. His eyes flickered, putting him in a state of quandary. I let him. Stepping back as the referee came up with the microphone. “Looks like there is no winner,” he said. “There was violence!” A voice yelled from the crowd. It was tiny, the kind that only a child could produce. However, it was firm, hard… one that could only be from a brave kid. As expected it was Israel. He pointed at Ken from where he stood.“He punched my dad and violence especially when ki

ALEXANDER. Lans gave me a long stare, raising his brows at me. Bro had questions but I wasn’t ready to answer until the team was gathered. We had five minutes to talk before the game began. “Okay, what's your big idea, man?” Lans asked.“Math,” I said… with excitement. However, they were the opposite, glancing at each other before they turned to me. “Math what?” Lans asked. Always the first to speak.“We defeat them using math. They might be fast but they are definitely not smarter.” Lans laughed mockingly. “And you think we are smart?” “You don’t have to be smart, we have to be strategic.” Lans raised his brows. “Strategic against Alphas that are way stronger than we are?”“So you want us to give up? Adams, I saw the way you run - super fast, and being little, gives you an advantage. Every Alpha right here has a huge body, twice as big as you are. You can easily slip through, grab a ball, and sweep pass without them noticing.” Adam nodded, getting the whole idea “Lans,

LENA. Pain jolted through my spine, a reminder of the darkness I was plunged into. I must have passed out from bleeding. The smell of ashes filled the air, exuding the incense of burnt medicine. I stirred, forcing myself to open my eyes. When I did, there was a woman a few feet away from the bed that I was on. She sat on the bare floor, her legs folded in front of her. Her eyes were shut. Her red hair was in dreads and it suited her face. She looked young, about my age. She was lost chanting some words to herself. Looking around, there was no one else except for the two of us. Great, I could escape. I gently lifted myself off the bed, getting to my feet before I started to tiptoe toward the door. It was a wooden door. It was quite obvious that it led outside. It was a wooden cabin. I had to make my way through to the door and run as fast as my legs could carry me. Even though I was weak and my wolf had refused to come back to me since the incident with Alexander. Three more step
