CAMILE
I gasped in fright before anger surfaced within me.
“You’re everywhere,” I spoke too calmly for someone who’s world was coming undone. I walked towards where I kept a secret stack of alcohol and took a swing from the bottle.
Vanessa chuckled darkly “And I’ve not even started with you,” she mocked but I ignored her.
“Trevor isn’t going to choose you, I hope you know that?” She threatened but I was too tired to try to debunk any of her threats.
I have no idea if it was my lack of engagement that spiked her but the next thing I knew she was grabbing me by my shoulders and yanking me towards her… her advantage been that she was slightly taller than me.
The alcohol in my stomach turning fiercely, my head spinning as she raised her hand and smacked me across the face .
“In a few minutes, Trevor is going to believe divorce papers. Sign it! And leave him!” She screamed at me and juat like before, my eyes saw red.
I have been humiliated, betrayed, shocked, disappointed and now disrespected!? In one day!?
My body hummed with rage as I raised my hand. I saw the excitement in her eyes a fraction before my hands came down upon her face in retaliation and that was enough for me to stop.
She was enjoying this a little too much.
I watched her eyes turn murderous as my hand plopped back to my side.
“What are you doing!?” She screamed and I shook my head, giving her distance.
Why did she want me to retaliate so bad?
“No.” I spoke carefully and wiped the blood from my lips.
“I’m not going to play child games with you,” I said and that sentence invoked a rage I have never seen.
A dangerous smirk played on her lips as she suddenly grabbed the bottle of alcohol from my hands and suddenly smashed it on the floor.
“Camile?” I heard Trevor’s voice from outside the doors of the balcony and in horror I looked back to Vanessa.
Her posture already looking funny, I was a fraction too late as she screamed at the top of her voice and fell deliberately on the shattered glass.
Trevor stormed through those doors instantly and my eyes that were widened in horror settled on Trevor’s face as it morphed into a muderous glare.
“I—I didn’t” I tried to convince him but then Vanessa’s father moved through those doors and chaos erupted before my eyes.
Trevor overcome with a bond rage charged at me while General Greg was screaming for physicians and soldiers to apprehend me.
“Trevor, no,” I breathed out a fraction too late as his hands tried to grab my arm.
“I warned you! I told you to give her those divorce papers Trevor!” General Greg screamed and my eyes watered at the moment my wolf took form and I escaped Trevor’s clutches.
Trevor tried to catch me but everyone in my kingdom knew that I was known for my speed, which was why I was able to scale the walls of the building with a rough landing.
I wasn’t concerned with where I was going until lights blinded my eyes and a screeching sound dislodged my steps.
Something hard slammed into me and I felt my body shrink back to my normal self.
My eye lids began to feel heavy just as I heard my name come from a familiar voice.
Vance.
I dont know how it was possible but I woke up in a different environment. All parts of my body ached like never before.
I tried to sit up but an IV drip stopped my movements, bandages covered my body and my eyes were blurry.
“Thank Goddess!” I heard Vance exclaim and fear coursed through my veins again.
I struggled against the bed, trying my best to run away from him but his strong hands kept me rooted to the bed.
“I’m not going to hurt you!” He finally screamed admit my mumbling protests and struggle.
My body betrayed me by relaxing against his soothing touch.
I hissed in pain as he lifted his hands away from where he had pinned me to the bed.
“Trevor however,” he continued.
“I am going to make sure I help you get every ounce of revenge you desire on him,” he spat with rage.
My lips moved to speak, to tell him that we only had a lovers quarrel and that it didn’t concern him until my eyes met my reflection in a bedside mirror and I gasped in shock.
My hands touching my face, my body … everything was covered in bruises.
“You are not the first woman he has destroyed. Not the first home…and if you join forces with me? For as long as I am your mate, we will get our revenge,” Vance promised and imgaes of how Trevor had allowed his greed for power and fame cloud his judgement became clearer to me.
Suddenly the voice that once told me Trevor had already betrayed me, agreed in silence with Vance.
I let a man take everything from me, now it was time for me to return the Favour.
CAMILE When I opened my eyes, a healer was attending to me but it wasn't the healer I knew. It was a different one, and he looked younger. From the corner of my eyes, I could see a very worried Vance pacing around the room. He looked pale, he obviously had not rested. "I thought you said she was not injured badly as the pin didn't go deep into her, so why isn't she awake yet? It has been an entire night!" Vance snapped at the young healer .The young man shook in Vance's presence, and he was obviously afraid of him. "I don't....I don't know, Alpha, I think there's something wrong with her body, but I don't dare to make a diagnosis. I can only wait for my master" the young healer was shaking as he said this. "You have been by his side for a long time and you still haven't learned anything yet? Then, what the heck are you doing by his side? Go get him!" Vance ordered the poor man. "Alpha, he's currently treating Miss Seraphina and so...." "So what if he's treating her?! Whose lif
VANCE I felt a headache when I heard Seraphina was threatening to kill herself if I did not come to see her. I wanted to refuse, since I had already pardoned her, I never wanted to see her again, but then, Camille had convinced me to go see her one last time.I was startled when I saw her pressing a sharp hairpin to her neck. Had Seraphina lost all her will to leave?!"Seraphina, what do you think you are doing?""Didn't you want to kill me? Can you bear to have me executed without seeing me one last time? Even if....even if you've fallen for someone else now, can you bear to kill me without seeing me one last time? I admit that I left when you needed me the most, but I have done my best for you these past few years. I have supported you, can you really bear to kill me off?" Seraphina asked me, with tears running down her cheeks. "Who said I was going to kill you, Seraphina?" I asked her. "Don't lie to me! We've already come this far! Vance, I love you! What is so great about thi
VANCE"How dare you, Camille? My daughter has been in the dungeon for the past few days, no one knows what she has suffered there, and now you want her to go to the border? Do you think with my daughter gone, you can become Luna?" Seraphina's father pointed a finger at Camille angrily. I took a step towards the older man, wanting to defend Camille from his attacks; however, Camille stood in front of me, directly cutting off my words. "If I really cared about the position of Luna and thought your daughter would try to stop me, I would just wait for the Alpha to execute her. Wouldn't that be easier for me?" Camille sneered at me. "No matter how much the Alpha gives in to you and lets you play around here, you are still not a member of our pack. Don't think that you can walk in here and act arrogantly!"Camille turned to the Elder who had spoken, "I know that I am not a member of this pack; however, I also know who saved my life. I know who I am willing to pledge my allegiance to. I,
VANCE "Alpha, I understand that my daughter was wrong, however, we have been loyal to you since you took over. Even if we haven't done anything worthwhile, our loyalty is definitely worthy of compensation. I am asking that you please let my daughter off. She will never show her face here again, and she will live the rest of her life in seclusion," Seraphina's father tried to convince me to let go of Seraphina. She had come here with the internet to resume the marriage ties between us, and I knew Seraphina was already prepared to be my Luna when she arrived. It was definitely ironic for her and her father that her life was now hanging by a thread, and even though I felt sorry for her, I could not let her off What she had done was indeed terrible, and I could not bring myself to forgive her at all. "Seraphina planned to commit murder, and she even left spies into the castle. Her actions endangered the lives of everyone else, including your lives. Are you telling me that we can just
TREVOR Vanessa lowered her eyes, and she looked hurt by my reaction. I took a deep breath as I tried to calm myself down. I still needed Vanessa, no matter what, I could not let her know of my plans to bring Camille back. "I....I won't touch it if you don't want me to. I understand if it has a huge meaning to you. After all, they are Camille's flowers. I know that she ..."I pulled Vanessa into a hug and smiled like I was truly happy with her."What are you saying, Vanessa? This has nothing to do with Camille. She's long gone, and she's not going to bother us anymore. I just don't want you there because I know you are just going to make things hard on yourself. You are pregnant now and you need to take care of the baby. The maids can do it or you can do it after you've had the baby. But for now, you absolutely cannot touch it!" The last part was said a bit forcefully, but I did not care .I had to make sure that none of Camille's stuff was touched until she came back. Vanessa chuc
TREVOR"What?" I raised an eyebrow as I focused my eyes on the window, gazing at the garden. It was no longer as beautiful as it was a few months ago. It was now overgrown, as there was no one to tend to it. Camille had dedicated her time to the garden, making sure that it was beautiful all year round, but without her here.....I shook my head, the sight of that garden was really infuriating. I had to get her back so she could fix it as soon as possible. "Sir, the spy over there told us that the assassins weren't able to bring her out. Seraphina has been caught, and I heard she's going to be executed for treason," James, one of my most loyal men told me. I sneered at this, I had high hopes for Seraphina. She was a smart woman, and she knew how to take full advantage of the chances presented to her. Besides, her Elders definitely wanted a marriage between her and Vance. It was the perfect opportunity for her, and it was a shame that she had failed. "And Camille?" I asked James, wi
