Ava's POV
I could see them from the look on their faces , they were enraged I did that. Well I didn't give them the chance to do what I knew was running through their mind: yelling at me, demanding why I did that. I held the cat that was playing on my feet close and tightly to my chest, I grabbed what I was knitting and walked away from them.
I didn’t care if they were calling me. I didn’t care what they wanted to say. I didn't care if what I did was wrong. I didn't care if I was supposed to wait back. I heard them start talking. They called Zach's name. I heard one of them and I am guessing the person is Zayne; he threatened to kill him. Irish and Steven joined him threatening to kill him. Although they made my chest tight, it didn't make me stop. I didn't turn back, I kept walking.

Ava's POVJust as I was about to make the final stitch on the sweater I was knitting, someone appeared in my line of vision.Slowly, I looked up and saw the last person I wanted to see. I wanted to stand up to leave, but I decided against it. I didn’t want him to think I was afraid of him.Instead, I appeared to look unfazed as I returned to my knitting, ignoring him completely.“Aren't you going to talk to me, Ava?” Zach asked slowly. I let his words pass through one ear and leave through the other.“I know you're upset with me, Ava. I'm sorry for what I did at the mating ceremony. I'm
Writer’s POVThe Alpha of the pack watched from his window as servants and workers moved around. Repair was ongoing within the territory.Never in his life had he imagined that a day would come when he would see his territory almost in ruins. The workers wore tired looks on their faces, and he knew they were exhausted, yet they were all determined to finish their work. The thought caused a pang of hurt to pass through his chest because he knew they were all working hard to honour their dead Luna.He mind linked one of his guards. “Tell the workers to take a rest for now. They can continue their work in the morning,” he instructed. “That's an order.”The Alpha's solemn gaze did not change as he stared blankly at the sky. Even if they were able to repair the damage and make everything look as good as new, the emotional damage couldn't be repaired. Nor could his dead Luna ever be brought back to life.He caught his reflection in the window and sighed. He seemed to have aged over the pas
Writer’s POVAfter the investigation had proved Vanessa to be guilty, she had been locked up in her room. Being stripped of her freedom and not being able to interact with anyone was slowly bringing her apart. The lines of her face were filled with anxiety, and she chewed on her fingernails till they bled to ease some of the tension. She clenched and unclenched her fists as she paced up and down her room. ‘What was going on out there?’ She thought to herself. ‘Why hasn't anyone come for her yet?’Vanessa decided to exercise some patience. She sat on her bed and tapped her foot anxiously, occasionally glancing at the door for any sign of movement.
AVA'S POVI could sense their footsteps behind me as I walked away. They were really bent on disturbing my peace. As if torturing me in the dungeon wasn't enough. There was no way I could get rid of them since they were the sons of the Alpha and practically ruled the land I was standing on.Silently, I ignored their presence and walked into the room, leaving the door open to save myself the hassle of having to open it for them because fighting was no use. The triplets always got what they wanted. I learned that the hard way.I sat down on the bed without a word as their presence filled the room. They shuffled uncomfortably on their feet, clearly affected by my nonchalance. But I was done kissing up to people's feet. If there was anything staying in the dungeon taught me, it was living for myself, and I planned on doing so.Though I was playing the role of not acknowledging their presence quite well, I couldn't help but hear their hushed whispers.“Who's going to talk to her?” Iris ask
Zayne's POV Steven turned towards me, “What do you mean by that?" I couldn’t keep quiet anymore and pretend as if everything was fine, “I’m going to tell the truth, I’m going to tell the Alpha what Vanessa did, I cannot hide this, seriously, I cannot,”Steven shook his head fast, sadly, “No, you’re not doing that alone.” Iris stepped forward from leaning on the wall, “He’s right, Zayne, we all go together or we don’t go at all.”“But I was the one who doubted Ava most, I let her get locked up, I didn’t even try hard enough to stop it, I didn't even try to alter dad's and the elders decision about locking her up in the dungeon, I believed her and allowed them to go ahead and lock her up” Steven looked at me, his face was so sad, I could feel all the emotions he was not pouring out on it, “We’re all guilty, don’t act like you’re the only one who failed her,“Still, I need to do it, it’s eating me alive.” I took a step forward and then backward Steven stepped closer, “Then let it ea
Steve's POV I was still angry, really angry, and the fact that I tried to make Zayne reason with what I was saying all over and over again was so annoying.“This is a stupid idea, this whole thing is stupid,” we both know this. But we kept looking for Vanessa anyway because deep inside, I needed to hear the truth even if I didn’t want to believe it, and my brothers, they felt the same, even though no one really said it out loud. When we finally found Vanessa in her room, she didn’t even look surprised to see us, it was like she was excited to see us at her footsteps. She just stood there and crossed her arms like she had been waiting for us all along. Before I could say anything, Irish stepped forward and said, “We need to talk now, and don’t lie.” Vanessa just rolled her eyes and said, “I don’t have time for this. If you guys are not here to hang out with me, then leave me alone.” Zayne moved closer to her and said, “Stop it, just stop it, we know something happened, and you need
Zayne POV "That this wasn't an outsider," I said, my voice hard. "This was someone who’s been with us since we were kids. Someone who knows everything about this pack. This was an inside job. This was definitely not the doing of Ava. No, it's not. The person who did this knows a lot about our pack defense, knows the time to strike, knows the armies."Steve frowned and crossed his arms. "What are you thinking, Zayne? What do you mean by all these you have just said?. The person who did this"I stared at the table, thinking about everything that had happened. "Think back to the last time, think back to what happened the last time," I said. "You remembered during the family dinner we had, Vanessa… She went behind our backs and told our parents about Ava. She told our parents about Ava being a stripper. Do you know what she tried to do with that information? She tried to turn them against her. She made sure Ava was pushed out, made sure they wanted her gone. She made sure our parents hat
Zayne's POVI leaned on the wall, staring at the floor, my chest felt tight. I believed in her. I believed in Ava and was madly in love with her but everything was pointing to her. The way the allegations were called out, the way the reports were written, the words used against her, the way people looked and jeered at her...it didn't make any sense to me.I leaned up and walked down the hallway to find my brothers. We had to discuss about this as soon as possible and the sooner we did it, the better for us. I found them in the sitting room looking weary, their hands bowed over their knees, their hands clasped over their head“I want to ask something,” I said walking into the room. They raised their heads up immediately.&
