Author's POV

The realization that they were sisters finally sank into Vanessa's mind. She looked at Ava and peeled her eyes away. How could Ava bear to stay with her after all that she had done?

Guilt tore at her insides, and the tears she had managed to keep at bay came rushing out.

“What's wrong, Vanessa?” Ava asked in a soft voice. “Nothing is going to happen to you. Stop crying.”

“It's not that, Ava,” Vanessa said between hiccups.

“Then what else could be the problem?” Ava asked, unable to understand her sister.

“Ava, how could you bear to look at me after all what I did to you? I humiliated you, threatened you, and even tried to kill you. I can't even look at myself in the mirror. Look at the monster I've become.”

“You're not a monster,” Ava cautioned. “Everyone makes mistakes, and you're not an exception,” she said softly.

“I didn't make a mistake. I committed a crime. A sin. I should be killed.” Vanessa wailed.

Irish's POVAs soon as we left the ward and went outside the hospital. I held her hands again, and she let me. Together, we walked to the hospital garden. We got to a secluded part of the garden and stopped. I looked at Ava's tear-stricken face, and my heart twisted in pain.I couldn't figure out what exactly was going on in her head, and her silence was killing me. The outburst she had earlier in the ward was enough proof that she was still hurt by what happened back at the pack. The revelation about her and Vanessa being twins was shocking enough. I could only imagine what she was feeling at the moment.Every time I thought about what we did to Ava, I couldn't help but hate myself for it. What we did was despicable. We had hurt her deeply, and there was no going back from that. Then there was Vanessa.Vanessa, who had spent each day of her life hating Ava. Tormenting and resenting her was actually her twin sister. Yet, Ava chose to forgive her. She chose love over hate despite all

Author’s POVAs the celebration went on, Ava couldn’t deny the pull she felt towards Irish. His soft laugh, his kind words, and gentle jokes. She felt herself leaning closer. With him, she felt at peace. He offered a source of comfort she could find nowhere else. She found herself smiling more when he was near, and Steve and Vanessa weren’t helping matters. “These two have gone crazy,” she said with a laugh to Irish as she watched in horror as Vanessa smeared cake all over Steve’s face, claiming it was make-up.“Okay,” Steve yelled as he cleaned his face with a tissue. “Let the real party begin.” He brought out a bottle of champagne he had reserved for the moment and popped it in the air. Vanessa laughed, and Zayne called him crazy. He poured each of them a glass, but when he got to Ava’s turn, she kindly declined. She had a low tolerance to alcohol, and she didn’t want to embarrass herself, but when Irish offered her a glass, her poor heart ignored the mental warnings.Everyone cheer

Author's POV “Sisters?” Vanessa repeated, her eyes mirroring Ava's reaction. Ava silently handed her the paper and watched as her hands flew to her mouth in shock.“So, it is true,” Vanessa murmured as she laid the test result on the bed. She looked at Ava, unsure of her reaction towards this news, but Ava was silent, lost in thought. They sat in silence for a long time. The air between them felt heavy, too thick to breathe properly. Vanessa’s hands trembled in her lap, her fingers nervously twisting the edge of her sleeve. Ava stared at her, eyes wide with disbelief. Words floated around them, unsaid but loud in their chests.Ava and Vanessa were baffled at the new discovery. “I don't understand how this is possible,” Ava said after a moment of silence.“I mean, you're the Alpha’s daughter. How can I be your sister?” She asked in confusion. “Or did the test results come out wrong?”“I need to tell you something,” Vanessa said finally, her voice cracking. “And I need you to listen

Ava's POVDespite Vanessa's warning, I was still uncertain about how I was supposed to treat Zach.“Hey, Ava.” Zach greeted me cheerfully as we met at the cafeteria. He joined me in the queue as we waited for our turn.I smiled and returned his greeting. “How's Vanessa doing?” He asked in a soft tone. “Though she didn't seem too happy to see me.” I heard the slight hurt in his voice, and I sighed.“She's getting better, and I apologize for how she acted earlier. People in conditions like that are bound to have mood swings. Don't take it personally.”“Okay, Ava. I guess you're right. One of these days I'll try to check

Ava's POVVanessa's eyes found mine from across the room. “Ava, come closer,” she urged as she waved her hands forward.I felt everyone's eyes on me as my feet carried me to the side of her bed. “How are you feeling?” I asked slowly. She gave me a small smile and reached for my fingers, squeezing gently. ‘I'm fine, Ava.”I nodded and stood with my hands clasped together, unsure of what to do until Vanessa broke the awkward silence.“Ava,” she started in a soft tone. “I want to apologize for all what I did to you in the past. That was cruel. No one deserves to be treated like that. I'm sorry it took me a long time to a
