Evelyn’s POV

I was pacing, no, storming back and forth like a thundercloud in a box too small to hold it. My heart wasn’t just pounding. It was screaming. With every step, I felt it rattle inside me like it wanted to punch its way out. The phone call had come. The kidnapper called.

I froze.

Was this it? Was this the beginning of the end? Had he, The kidnapper, planned this with Samuel just to bring him down? The thought alone sent a shiver down my spine.

This was what I wanted… wasn’t it?

I should be celebrating. Finally, the great Louis brought to his knees. Finally, justice. But here I was, paralyzed. Hesitating. Why? Why the hell was I hesitating now?

I pressed a hand to my chest like I could steady the madness inside, but it didn’t help. My mind was running a marathon, and my emotions were tripping over each other, trying to catch up.

This was the man who had treated me like trash. Worse. Who had almost killed me, not metaphorically, not emotionally, but literally. And still, some

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    House Meeting

Louis' POVShe pushed me, gently, but it felt like a knife slicing through my chest. Her face was a cold mask of sadness, unreadable yet screaming everything I feared. She picked up her iPad with trembling fingers, typed, and showed me.I just need sincerity. I need to know what's in your heart. I need to know if I'm doing the right thing or not. “Do not do anything for me. Do not. Because you've seen what I can be—evil, cruel, wicked. So never do anything for me. Never be nice to me. Just keep your distance. I'm not nice. I'm evil. So please…”My heart plummeted as said that.I wanted to scream. I wanted to tell her I wasn’t evil. That I was hurting, confused. But instead, all I did was stare, speechless. She must have heard the rumors. She must have known.I couldn’t hide anymore.I ran a hand through my hair, tugging at it like a madman. My voice cracked as I spoke. "Your sister’s pregnant with my child. And I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m so pissed... so goddamn confused."I

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    Step Down or What?

Louis’ POVI was pacing. Back and forth. Over and over again. The silence of my room was loud, too loud, filled only with the sharp sound of my bare feet hitting the hardwood floor. My thoughts were a mess, tangled in knots I couldn’t undo. Erica. Evelyn’s stepsister. Her name kept echoing in my head like a haunting melody I couldn’t mute.I should’ve felt guilt. I should’ve felt disgust. But mostly, I felt... confusion. Those nights werent supposed to mean anything. And I was certain, absolutely fucking certain, I was infertile. The doctor said it. Years ago. "There’s nothing to worry about," he’d told me. “You’re not capable of producing a child.” It was stamped into my brain like a tattoo I never asked for.So, why did this sudden fear feel like it had claws? Why was my chest tight, and why did my palms feel clammy with anxiety? I wasn’t supposed to feel anything. Not for Erica. Not even curiosity. But I did. I felt something. A flicker of something I couldn’t name, and it made m

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    Divorce Your Wife!!

Louis' POVI was pouring a drink when the front door slammed open. The sound echoed through the quiet house like a warning shot. My hand stilled mid-air, bourbon sloshing in the glass as I turned to see her, Erica.Evelyn’s stepsister. The woman who nearly destroyed me.She burst into the room with a suitcase rolling behind her, face flushed, eyes wide like a predator catching sight of its prey. I took a step back, an involuntary step, because in that moment, dread gripped me tighter than logic ever could.“What the hell are you doing here?” I asked, but my voice lacked the weight of command. She didn’t answer right away. She stood there, breathing heavily, then dropped the suitcase with a loud thud and walked straight toward me.“I’m pregnant,” she said. The words landed like a sledgehammer to my chest. My glass slipped from my fingers. It didn’t shatter, but it hit the floor hard, the bourbon spreading like spilled secrets.Pregnant? My lips moved, but no words came out. I could hea

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Threat

Evelyn’s POVI walked back into the house with Louis trailing behind me, silent, the air between us thick and heavy like a storm waiting to break. The moment we crossed the threshold, he pulled me into a tight embrace—so tight, it was almost as if he was trying to glue the broken pieces of himself together with my presence.I froze, startled. His arms trembled around me.“I need you right now,” he whispered, the words barely holding together. I pulled back just enough to look at him.Louis.The same Louis who always wore indifference like a second skin. The man who never flinched, never begged, never let anyone see past his armor. But now… now he looked like a man who had finally run out of places to hide. His eyes, usually so cold and unreadable, were bloodshot, glossed with something close to panic. His jaw clenched and unclenched like he was fighting to stay composed.I had never seen him this… human. This raw. This broken. My chest tightened.I gently patted his back, my fingers b

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Confession

Evelyn’s POV"Nothing," he said, voice thin, like he hadn’t just betrayed everything. But I wasn’t going to let it slide.I walked straight toward him, fire burning through my chest, my hands moving in sharp, angry signs. Don’t lie to me, Samuel. I just heard you. I heard every damn word. You were on the phone. You said it was all fake. The convulsions. The fear. The pain. All of it.His eyes darted toward the door. Guilt flickered across his face, but only for a second. Then something shifted. He looked…cold.“I did it,” he said, shrugging like it meant nothing. “Yeah. I did. So what?”I blinked, unable to move. My heart cracked, loud and clean. He looked me in the eye, jaw clenched. “He paid me, alright? He offered money. Real money. More than I’ve ever seen in my life. You think I’m gonna say no to that? Who are you to judge me?”Who am I? The question thundered in my head. Someone who trusted you. Someone who fought for you. Who believed in you.My hands moved, fast and trembling.
