Lord Varnaak was given till the next dusk of Triven to find out what the prince Andreas was hiding by king Radia. He thought of a perfect strategy to carry out the king's orders of following the prince after he had assigned him to do so.
He knew very well he couldn't be seen by the people of Triven but he was sure the prince was going to sense him, one way or the other and for sure see him. So he had to do something exceptional like use one of his rare abilities, making illusions! Yes that was his strength and he was very sure it would be of great help to him now. But to be able to pull that off, he had to hatch a very effective plan so that he can outsmart the prince. He thought following him around, lurking around his own dark self so that he won't seem it strange that he saw him or sensed him wherever he went. He already knew that the prince spends his imaginary times in Omania at Triven and he was certain he mostly stayed in the ranger institute at their capital, Nerwin. But was he was not cleared on why he was always there. He would have just said that he was there in search of the mutated illuminator but that was wrong, he knew it for sure because he always sensed his presence around the dorm. He thought of going there but it would be too risky because he was very sure that Andreas must make something out of seeing him there probably because he loved to cause trouble and devastate the lived of the people of Fraun (another world) and Triven was not a place he liked to hang around in this ghost form of his. With all these thoughts put to consideration, he made up his mind to visit pay Nerwin a visit but not as him self but as the prince. He decided he would give the prince a good reason to be back in Gorgor, so that he would have the time to tour the whole and find what bonded him to the place. With that been concluded, he made his way to the kings throne room to ask that he grant him power to speak with his name. "Your grace" he bowed as he walked in and saw him staring out his window to their dark crumbled world. "I assumed that you have come to tell me what you found out lord Varnaak" king Radia asked casually not taking his sight off the window. "Not excatly your grace" he began calmly, "But l am definitely on it. I have come to ask that you bestow on me the right to speak on your name to the prince for it would be a great assistant to achieving your goal your grace”. "Do what ever you can and must do lord Varnaak. You have just 24 hours to give me valid answers". "Thank you your grace" Lord Varnaak bowed, "l will never fail you" he reassured before leaving. With satisfaction, he made his way to Nerwin immediately it was their dawn. He stood at the gate and called out to the prince's aura, being very certain that he was inside somewhere. "What do you want lord Varnaak?" Prince Andreas asked standing just a few steps from him. "Well my prince, greetings to you" he bowed to him. "I wonder what you are doing here, this early in the day. I am supposing this is where your search for the mutated illuminator has led you, very thrilling" he gave him a sly smile. "Just say why you are here and leave immediately to your favorite world to cause more disasters, because that is certainly what you do best". "Sorry to beat your expectations my prince but l am now good at doing something else too" he chuckled. "And what might that be?" Andreas furrowed. "I now carry out orders from your father the king and ruler of Gorgor". He bowed to the king’s grace. "And when was that decided?" Andreas did not seem to believe him at all. "Wrong question my prince" lord Varnaak objected. "The right question should be... What has the king ordered me to pass to you". "I am very certain that l do not need to remind you lord Varnaak the consequences of speaking falsely against my father. Look before you leap". Andreas' voice sounded really cold. "I am sure my sight is clear my prince and so are my senses too. So if you don't mind, l would like to pass message and get to other things l have to carry out for today". "Say what ever you want to say and leave" Andreas ordered. "The king orders that you move now to Babu( another world) he has a great sense that the mutated illuminator is there. He says that you move immediately, if you still appreciate the look of our world's symbol behind your neck" He said, crossing his hands behind his back. After his words, he turned and left not waiting to answer any more question or even implicate himself. He knew if he lingered, considering how smart the prince was, he was going to find out the truth so he knew his best option was to leave at the moment. However, he really hoped the prince will fall for it, and he actually did. He wanted to doubt at first, the people of Babu were only known for their great skill in food cultivation and production, how then could the light illuminator be sensed there? Besides, he had this strong feeling in his gut that Lilith was going to become the light illuminator. However, if his father says he sensed something there in Babu, then he had to go to Babu nevertheless and although he was not sure if he could trust lord Varnaak, he could not find any important reason that would cause him to lie…In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where stars and planets dance to the rhythm of gravity and time, lies a realm of forgotten worlds. “The usurper has been defeated, Crown Prince Andreas. Please take your place as the king of Gorgor and rule us.” Lord Gerrant bowed as he spoke to Andreas, who had Lilith clutched in his arms.“Do you accept to be our king, to rule us, lead us to greater heights, and uphold our honor and glory among other worlds?!”He listened to what he said carefully, and he knew that was how it all would end. From the moment his father died at the hands of Lord Varnaak, who had declared his intentions to usurp the throne, he was only grateful that he had Lilith beside him to help him fight the battle and win over the greedy lord.He was only unhappy about the people he lost: his father and Karen. They were both very dear to him, and their deaths really hurt him as he believed he had failed them.‘But now it was all over; this was finally the end,’ he consoled himself, looking upon the remaining lords and ladies of the throne room and Lord Gerrant, who spoke to him directly. He had lost his daughter
“So you knew Lilith was responsible for Florate’s death all this while and you kept it hidden from me? Why?!” Rain questioned Thygas in tears.“Dre made me promise not to tell anyone; he did not want her to live in guilt,” he explained, looking very sad that she was crying before him.It had not been long since he woke up, and she refused to wait till he was fully healed before bombarding him with the load of questions she had. He felt terrible to hear the things Lilith did to her, which she only found out last night from his father. How she promised Nex a one-night stand with her just so she could switch their files and become the light mutant in her place. ‘So that was the unfinished deal Nex mentioned the time he asked him why he wished to join Florate in saving them,’ Thygas thought, finally putting two and two together. However, he was actually happy that she succeeded in becoming the light mutant because, according to what the head scientist said, Rain’s genes were not powerful
“What is taking them so long?” Rain puzzled, pacing up and down in the room while Lilith simply sat quietly on the bed. It’s been hours already since Thygas and Andreas left them there, asking them to stay back while they go check out what was going on in the throne room. “I honestly do not have a good feeling about this, I am going to see what happened” Lilith immediately stood from the bed, trying to make her way out of the room while Rain followed her closely but they were stopped immediately when Thygas appeared in the room, looking seriously injured and falling on the bed as soon as he entered. “Oh my goodness!” Rain exclaimed, “Thygas?!” She and Lilith rushed towards him immediately. “What happened to you?” Her eyes were already tearing up as she raised up her face to meet the horror he looked like. “What happened Thygas?” Lilith’s whose heart was pounding already began questioning as well, “where is Andreas?!” Thygas made an attempt to answer their questions but before he
“Father?!” Prince Andreas rushed immediately to where he lay in a pool of his own blood.“No, Father! Wake up! Wake up now! Open your eyes! You are the king of Gorgor!” Andreas was vigorously shaking his lifeless father, hoping he could jolt him back to life somehow.“Why are you doing this, Father?!” Thygas, who followed Andreas closely, questioned his own father, wanting to know the reason why he attacked his own king!“The time for weaklings to rule Gorgor is over from today henceforth, son!” he declared boldly. “I, Lord Varnaak of Gorgor, will no longer allow weak King Radia and his lineage to rule us anymore. They have brought us so much pain, loss, and sorrow. I cannot bear to watch this go on anymore, and I must fight against it and stake my claim as the rightful ruler of Gorgor!”This speech of his earned a loud gasp from the lords and ladies of honor who began trooping into the throne room right after Andreas and Thygas.“Are you mad?!” Thygas could not believe the nonsense h
The throne room was dimly lit, the only sound the soft flickering of torches casting eerie shadows on the walls. King Radia sat on his throne, lost in thought, when suddenly, Lord Varnaak emerged from the darkness. The king's eyes narrowed, sensing a shift in the air."Lord Varnaak," King Radia said, his voice low and even. "I didn't expect you."Lord Varnaak's smile was cold and calculating. "I've been waiting for the perfect moment, Your Majesty," he replied, his eyes gleaming with ambition.Without warning, Lord Varnaak unleashed a wave of illusions, making it seem as though the king was surrounded by multiple versions of himself. King Radia, caught off guard, stumbled back, his powerful blows swinging wildly but hitting nothing.Lord Varnaak seized the opportunity, conjuring a shard of ice that glinted in the torchlight. The king, unaware of his weakness, didn't react in time as the shard pierced his side. He stumbled, his strength waning as the cold spread through his veins. The
