"Five, four, three, two, one! Ready or not here l come". Lilian, a young woman in her early thirties calls aloud as she uncovers her eyes. She was playing a game of hide and seek with her five year old daughter Lilith in their small apartment. "Now where could you be" She asked rhetorically as she looks around the sitting room, behind and beside her cushions, under the center table, behind the fridge, and every where else in the sitting room with a slight look of fustration on her face. "Honey" she called out to her baby girl. "You know you were supposed to hide only within the sitting room and l suppose you are not here at all" she continued still looking around with her eye balls rolling around the sitting room. From up to down, left to right, till her eyes met something she was drawn to. A small cupboard beside the all screen TV. 'That's it!' She said to herself with joy. That's where Lilith was hidding, and she was sure she could fit into it judging from her size. Slowly, she tip toed to the cupboard, not wanting to alert her of her coming as she was sure she must have by now believed she was already fustrated and accepting her loss. She smiled to herself as she imagined the look that will plaster on her pretty baby girl's face when she finds out she found her. She got close to the cupboard and flung it open with full force. "Gotcha!". Lilith was startled at first but got hold of herself and let out a loud laugh. "Ha haha. Mommy you found me". She stretched out her arms for her mom to carry her. "Of course l did baby girl" Lilian took her hands "come here baby girl". She kissed her on she both cheeks and tickled her. "Mommy haha" Lilith giggled as she held her mom tight and give in to her tickles and kisses. But suddenly, her stomach growled loudly. She looked at her mom and she looked back at her. They stayed like that for about three seconds before they both burst into laughter. "Looks like my baby girl needs feeding. It seems that all the monsters in her belly have eaten all the Mac and cheese she had about two hours ago hmm" Lilian teased. "No mommy " Lilith began with a pout. "I don't have monsters in my belly and l am not hungry, l am still full from the Mac and... ". She was still speaking before her stomach growled again, this time louder than before and making her loose track of her words as her mother burst in to another round of laughter. "You were saying?" Lilian kept laughing till she heard another growl. "Now that's the height of it" her face turned serious. "It's almost dinner time and l am not supposed to blame you for being that hungry, besides you just finished playing and am sure you sweated some of your food out of your body pores". She brought her down and crouched to her level. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up so we can have dinner" she said to het with the most beautiful smile. "Sure mommy" young Lilith nodded and returned her mother's smile with more life in hers. Her mother was the only family she had and knew about, as she doesn't even know who her father was or what he looks like since she was born. Her mother always told her that her father was among Triven's military and defense forces against other worlds. She really did not understand what her mother meant, but she sure believed her father was a superhero just like in her story books. She took her to the bathroom and gave her a thorough bath under the shower. She would have used the tub but she knew her hunger won't allow her to wait for the bath to be drawn, so she passed for the shower. She got her dressed up in her pajamas and had her bath too and change in to her night gown as well. "Now come here" Lilian lifted her up again and carried her to the kitchen where she placed her on the dinning table and went ahead to the stove and sink. Lilith pick up her toy that she had left on the table earlier that day and began playing with it. It was a teddy bear a gift from her mom when she turned five last month, and it had her favorite color, purple. She cuddle the teddy bear as she watched her mother contemplate on what to cook. "Mummy how about you set up a salad" she suggest salivating already at the thought of having a salad. Lilian clicked her fingers and turned to Lilith. "You are very right baby and we can have with the grilled chicken!". "Yummy!" Lilith squeaked in joy. Lilian smiled at her and set up a salad immediately. Carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, green beans, tomatoes and lastly some flavor and soothed with mayonnaise plus the grilled chicken. It looked so tasty and Lilith could wait to have a taste already and neither could her stomach too as it growled louder than ever. "Tell your monsters to calm down baby" Lilian teased again. "Food will be served in no time, just some finally touches". "Mommy l am so so hungry, l want to eat already" she groaned with a pout, making her look very cute. "Ok, ok, ok" Lilian dished the food immediately into two plates one for her and the other for Lilith. She placed the plates on the dinning table and helped Lilith seat comfortablely on a chair and sat opposite her. She set the food before her with a glass of juice and handed her her favorite cutlery that had her favorite color as well. She dug in immediately, munching eat bite of the food with sweet moans. "This tastes really good mommy " she complimented without even looking up to her mother as she couldn't take her attention away from the food. "Thanks baby but take it easy, you might choke on the cabbages". Lilian just started at her daughter with so much affection, she reminded him alot of her late husband Phil. He was among Triven's force against other worlds, to stand for it dominance and existence on the planet. He died in the last war five years ago against Ravine a world that tried to dominate over Triven and rid it of its existence. Triven multiplied it's forces and fought against Ravine and fortunately, they won against them and mapped them out of the surface of the planet. Despite the joy of their victory, the lost of her husband still left an abyss of sadness in her heart which was partly covered with the birth of Lilith. She was born two days after the war, after Phil's death. He did get to meet her, and see how she took after him. His purple hair and eyes, caramel skin. And most of all, his sweet smile. She really missed him so much but could tell her poor daughter that her father was dead. So she just made her believe her dad was her greatest hero and fighting for her right now. "Mommy" Lilith called , followed by a yawn jolting her mom from het thoughts. "What's it love" Lilian wiped a tear from her left her that fell by mistake, and she didn't want Lilith to see. "I am ok mommy l would like to sleep now". "Sure" Lilian left her food and stood to carry. She took her to her room and laid her comfortablely on her bed and tucked her in properly before she turned to leave but was stopped by Lilith's yelp. Lilian was startled. "What is it darling?" She bent to her. "You forgot to read to me my favorite story book" she said obviously annoyed with a pout. "Sorry baby" Lilian slapped her face jokingly which made Lilith chuckle. She walked to her shelf and and took out the story book. She stared at it for a while, wondering what Lilith saw in this particular book. She drew out the chair from her drawing and painting table and sat by her bed before she cleared her throat and began. "Gorgor"... Lord Ferral yelled with overwhelming joy. "Now let there be light!" At the ending of his statement, the crystals sparkled all at once and then a great bright light shined from the core, bursting through the celestial orb and radiating very brightly through all the crystals in the cave, beginning from the once that made up it's stand. The light did not stop it's magic at the cave, it ran through every living thing in the whole of Gorgor, it's plants, animals, seas, land, all of it's inhabitants and then finally, brought back the colors in it's rainbow, bringing Gorgor back to life! "Yes!" King Radia was the first to rejoice. Actually, he was part of the whole process. He was the king of Gorgor and the core shared common bond with him, and same goes for Andreas and every other person of his blood. When the core died many years ago, he was the one who felt it most. It literally felt like life was being drawn out of his whole being, it
*Gorgor* "Is she in position already?!" King Radia spoke hoarsely to his lords as he entered his throne room. He was already very impatient at this point, he wanted to restore his world already! He had waited all these long years and finally the opportunity was here yet time was been wasted?! What was taking them so long?! He already did most of the hard work here by going to Triven himself and bringing the Illuminator to Gorgor. Yes, he alone did that, beating all the odds including restraining his own son, just so he could save his world, as a true king he was. Andreas was still in bonds, Kind Radia just did not trust him well enough to release him yet, he knew he would try to stop him, stop the saving of Gorgor, so long as it meant keeping the Trivenian safe. Of course he understood that he loved her and cared deeply about her, but now really wasn't the time for emotions to rule the day. He knew the Trivenian was taking a risk by agreeing to restore Gorgor's light because i
"Lilith Amnell?!"All the senseis were shocked! But no one was more dumbfounded other than Andreas. 'How could this be?!' He thought within himself. So he saved Rain only to pass the curse to his beloved?! No, that can not be!! He must save Lilith!"All senseis charge!" The grand sensei ordered at the top of his voice."Father we can help too" Nex came in with the speed of light to stand by his father."Son?" He gasped and then hugged him. "Leave this to us father, you should get some rest" he said with concern."You became a speedster" he praised."Not just that father I can also do this! All rangers with me!" He ran with his speed immediately to the roof of the lab, and there he used his super strength ability to pull a satellite stationed there and launched it ferociously at Lilith."Nooo!" Andreas screamed as he moved quickly to save Lilith but she was way fine on her own. The field force around her alone could not allow the satellite hit her. It rather bounced back to Nexine w
"What do you mean you do not know how it happened scientist? How can one of my aspiring rangers turn out to be a light mutant out of the blue?" The grand sensei was greatly enraged. 'What?! The light mutant!' Andreas was totally shocked. Have they already found a replacement for Rain to take the shot? Did they not at least wonder where she went to? If that was the case, then he would not agree less that these Trivenians had no care for their own kind. "I am just finding out now that head scientist Henshaw created the formular for the mutation and it has certainly been administered to one of your aspiring rangers already and I do not know who" the scientist sounded worried. "If you what you said is correct then that means that one of my mutated rangers would turn out to be the light mutant" the grand sensei stated as a matter of fact, while Andreas just stared at them, calmly waiting for the outcome of the discussion. "Sadly, grand sensei" the scientist shook his head. Immediately
"Are you alright?"Lilith felt Rain grap her arms lightly."Yes" she replied quickly. "I am very fine"."Oh okay" Rain nodded. She turned back her attention to the grand sensei's words once again. It was time already. The time had come for them to get mutated. They were all very excited to find out what their abilities would be except for Lilith. She already knew what her powers would be and what to use them for and also, Rain was not swept away in the all round excitement, as she too already knew the risk she was going to bear. She felt Florate hold her hand tightly and kissed her forehead. This act of his made her smile at least. "It is time. In a straight line, in alphabetical order of your last names, match into the lab and lie on the bed space allocated to you by the lab attendants". The grand sensei spoke finally before turning to make his way back to his seat and then he as if an important thought came to his head, he turned back to the crowd of aspirants and spoke again. "As
Nerwin, Triven. Lilith had not spoken since the ceremony began, even though she was sitting with Florate and Rain. She neither spoke to them nor responded to the grand sensei's words that she found most them cheering and clapping to. She looked lost and in her own world. Nothing around seemed to excite her and her friends thought they knew why. They believed maybe she was unhappy about Rain abruptly disagreeing to keep the syringe number and threatening to report the strange man to the grand sensei. But unknown to her, Rain and Florate reached an agreement that because of the friendship they shared, she would keep the syringe and help her save Gorgor and this, they kept this hidden from her because they wanted to surprise her. Florate had disagreed at first, with very obvious reasons that had pure and genuine points. Rain understood that what she was about to do was more like putting her own life in danger but she was willing to it for Lilith, to prove to her that she loved her.
