"Man. What's up? I have been talking to you. Where is your mind?"
"What" Jason came to his senses, but he didn't hear a thing Max said
"What's wrong? You blanked out," Max inquired. It was not normal
"I just saw a beauty and could not keep my cool," Jason answered honesty remembering that beautiful face with fluttering long black hair
"Whoa. Where is she?" Max turned, trying to look in different directions," where is she" he asked after looking for a while. Jason was walking ahead, leaving Max behind
"She is gone," he answered, smiling
"You"
The two talked about going to school, talking in detail about what happened a week ago and if it could be something dangerous. They planned to go for a checkup at the hospital later after class. The wound was healed. Just a bit of it left—a wet scar.
Jason was listening to the lecturer in class, but he looked uncomfortable. He could hear sounds coming from different directions in school. He could listen to lectures in different rooms, others fighting. He thought he heard others making out, and even the office. The different voices were making him look crazy.
"Mackenzie, Mackenzie, can you answer the question on the board?' the teacher called to him, but he looked confused, sweat dripping from his forehead. The teacher came closer, and he could hear the heels hitting the floor, irritating him. He tried to compose himself but couldn't
"I am not feeling well. Miss Jane. I'll go to the nurse" he rose from his seat and ran past her getting out of the class. He ran through the corridor and went to the bathroom.
The moment he closed the door, Mike and the group were assaulting a new student who was on the ground. His eyes were wet.
"Whoa. Look who came to join the fun" It was late by the time Jason wanted to run back. Jersey and another guy walked to him and pulled him to the corner. He could hear their heartbeats. It was calm, but the guy on the ground had a strong and scared heartbeat. It was weird
'What's happening to me,' Jason asked himself when he could hear their heartbeat and feel the fear coming from the guy on the ground.
He felt like such different emotions were assaulting him. He tried to block some of those emotions, and it worked. It actually worked. It worked, just like that.
He looked at Jersey, approaching him and the rest of them. He felt so powerful and angry.
For how long was he going to allow them to bully him? It was time to put a stop to it.
He also walked forward and met Jersey face on when he took the step. For a moment, Jersey and the rest were surprised but laughed. Jersey turned to look at the rest of his team, throwing a mocking look.
Jason looked him in the eyes and pushed him out of his way. They almost dropped their jaws, looking at the flying figure.
Jersey was thrown to the wall by a mere push from Jason. He walked towards the door, not bothering with their astonished look.
"What are you waiting for? Get him," Mike shouted, seeing him walking out. Jason went to the door, pushed and locked it from inside, and turned to look at them, smiling sinisterly.
"Where were we?" he asked as looking at them. All the people looked at him like a clown. He walked to Mike.
"For so long have tried to contain me for your sakes, but you don't get it. It's high time I teach you a lesson," Jason said as he threw a hard punch at Mike, sending him steps back. He threw more punches at the other members one by one. Jersey was still groaning on the ground, looking at the scene. He stood using the wall, walking wobbly at Jason throwing a missing punch.
Jason turned and punched Jersey, throwing him at the same wall and falling on his face. He didn't have the strength to stand again and fainted. Mike was holding his nose, looking shocked at Jason. He never thought the person they were bullying was a pro.
"How does it feel?" Jason walked to the groaning figures on the floor, asking. He sends a kick to Mike, throwing him to the ground this time.
"You know what's best for all of us. I was never here, and you never saw me today. Or else, it will not be physical injury next time," He threatened, opened the locked door, and walked out. He stood there and called out to the guy on the floor.
"Do you still want to stay here?"
"No… not at all," he stammered, standing from the floor. He walked trembling towards Jason and looked at him in admiration.
"My name is Leo. Nice to meet you too. Thanks for saving me. That was cool. Where did you learn to fight" Leo started and could not give Jason a chance to respond to any of his statements
"Hmm," Jason cleared his throat, trying to stop the guy from eating his tongue away.
"Oooh, sorry. I can't stop talking. You are just so awesome," Leo answered nervously.
"You better go to class," Jason said, walking towards the parking lot. He waited for Max at the usual spot for almost 10 minutes before he showed up.
"What was that?" Max ran over as soon as he saw Jason and asked. He was worried sick about his friend.
"What?'
"You know what I am talking about. Stop playing dumb" Ma pointed at him, asking.
"I don't know. I could hear everyone talking and every lecture. I could feel the different emotions around me. I could even hear lectures from different classes. You tell me what that was"
"Oh my God. This isn't good. I have been reading about the werewolves lately, with the rumors going around that they are here. Could you have been bit by one? If that is the case, then you are turning into one."
"No. The one I saw was in his four feet and a total animal, not human in the animal form."
"Idiot. They do turn into animals sometimes and when they turn rogue."
"If that is the case, what am I going to do?"
The two were in their own world and didn't notice the looks threw at them. Soon, there was claps and applause as people shouted in happiness. That brought them back to reality" My friend is getting married" Leo was the first to react to them. He was so happy. You will think he was the one getting married insteadFour weeks passed in a blink of an eye as the two love birds get their vow exchanged in front of the people in the banker. They didn't have to register their marriage the situation didn't allow them to.With the celebration and gathering of the people loved was enough for themLater, they all resumed training. All this weeks, people were being trained by Miriam while she also made spells and protective talisman to help when they needed to escape when in danger. They didn't realize how powerful she was. There was something she was hiding. Worry was eating her up, sooner or later, she will have to reveal the truth to JasonHis powers were be
The one who was shocked the most was Miriam. She used a bit of her power to do a trick she had learned over the years. Camouflaging with the environment disappearing from the view of the enemy. It was a trick that saved her life so many times. What did she saw a shock in her life? She knew too well about some of the creatures. Those were her darkest secrets. But for how long was she going to keep them.Being out of danger for a moment, the group proceeded with their journey back to the shelter. It was hectic when they got back. The people in the room had fought. The reason nobody knew"Prepare tables. Get me the guns with the monkshood powder as well with the blue frame fire source." Miriam was at her wit when they got back.Seeing the people turning into wolves, some of the people were scared and ran to the end of the room. They had never seen a werewolf up-close. Though they knew of their existence, they never interacted, and if they did was a chase and
The group was getting overwhelmed. It was hard to run with the rest of the group incapacitated. Thinking of something, Miriam asked the young girl to let Jason down before performing a few hand seals. A huge light appears and then disappears. From where they stood, there was nobody. They vanished into thin air.The cloud and a few flying creatures appeared where they were in a few minutes, but there was no one. Not even their scent. It was like they never were there in the first place.A distorted voice was heard from behind a group of dark creatures"Where are they?" an old man appeared. He removed the veil over his face exposing his bare face. It was Frank, the Patriarch of the ancient hunter family. He looked like he was dying. His skin had deteriorated, and his face was becoming thorny. What was happening to him nobody knew other than himself"You are all useless. You have the key right under your nose, and you let him go. You have to fi
Then things started going south slowly. As they ran, sharp pains hit them. It began with Alicia trying to run further, but the pain was getting down on her. It was getting too painful to bear with it. Sweat had formed on her forehead. His eyes completely turned blue. She felt electrocuted and almost dropped to the ground. She tried to move, but her body seemed to have been paralyzed. She dropped with a thud alerting Jason and the others."Alicia." He shouted, running back. He let go of the girl's hand and tried to check on Alicia. She was turning. Her eyes were blue and long fangs were coming out. Even her claws were showing. She greeted her teeth in pain, but it was not enough."What's happening?.. What the heck… what's wrong with my daughter" Patrick approached them and asked. The sight before him terrified the whole of his body. In all his imagination, he had seen his daughter as a werewolf."What's happening to her is happening to me as well." Damian
It wasn't long before the group appeared at the front door. Making sure to spray the powder on the door, the group run in a certain direction. Patrick was at the lea with Miriam. They had worked together before. It was easier working synchronizing their movements. The rest of the hunters were behind them while Jason and his group followed suit. The young girl was close to Jason, not giving him space. It was good for safety, but Alicia was getting pissed. She could not understand the feeling. It was stronger over time, more so when Jason held her hand or showed concern for her.It was almost dark, and soon it will be way dangerous to run the street at night, but the group came prepared. Having hunted at night before, it was easier to do the same at the moment. Besides, they had the best night vision gear with them.Running through the streets, not alarming the enemy, the group appeared at the said location an hour later. It was quite a distance. Even if they had
Before Jason talked further with the girl, an announcement came"Listen up, everybody. Report just in. A group of people is stuck in an old building on the west side of town. It's quite a distance from here. We need volunteers to help with the rescue. We need ten people," Patrick announced, looking at the device in his hand.Jason looked at the people and then at the girl. He patted her shoulder, intending to go, when the girl suddenly held his sleeves, not giving him room to react. He was surprised and then confused. She looked scared"I have to go and volunteer. You will be safe here," Jason explained quietly why he was leaving, but the girl was not letting go of the shirt. She shook her head vigorously, but he could not understand."Can I get a piece of paper and pen?" Jason asked around since he could not let himself go. He had to listen to what she was saying. He felt he needed her, and she needed him. The brotherly love kicked in. He had always been
Damian had thoughts about her for years, but then she married Jayer, who unfortunately died weeks back. He could not bring himself to ask her out of bed yet. But he had that in mind. He wanted to do it many times but held back. For now, he had to stop and concentrate on whatever thing was attacking them. He has a long time to proceed with it."Well, we notice that the creatures are distracted but not for long. So we have been using it to cover our scents as we try to evacuate the trapped people in different buildings. But now, almost everyone has been caught in the soulless web. " Evelyn looked at the woman before them and answered she could not deny no matter how many years had passed. She is still as beautiful as ever.Jason stood between the group holding Alicia's hand, when he felt someone approaching him from behind. His senses were ever strong. It was hard for someone to attack him from behind. He turned just in time to see someone extending his arm to pat him on
"We don't have time for this. You, of all people, should know we need to work together now more than ever." Evelyn dragged her husband aside, reasoning with him. They have been through a lot even to get where they were.Patrick signed, thinking of everything."Dad. All these people are nice and good. They have not harmed me even after I killed Jason's father." Alicia approached her father, trying to reason with him. She had not seen him in weeks, and he had lost weight. They must've been through a lot. She looked around. There were hundreds of people in the bunker. Some were from high school. Some were the town people. It must've taken them long to get all those people to one place."It's okay, let them in" Patrick sighed and let his daughter handle everything. Alicia looked around and didn't see the figure she was looking for. "Dad, where is grandpa?" she turned around only to see a sour face. He didn't answer, but she could sense a murderous aura. There was an
"What's happening? What with all those people" Carly asked, peeping at the street before them. Hundreds of people were walking like zombies. Some were standing like a statue with total no movement."I think the town is gone. Everyone is dead." Max said, looking at the people before them. They walked to the street slowly, ready for anything. It was daytime but too quiet to be safe. Miriam held her Katana while the other had different weapons. The werewolves had their claws out in case of anything. Everyone was in battle mode—Ready for anything. The first person they met was an old woman. She was short and wore a woolen hat, a long green crocheted sweater, and an old walking stick still in her hand. She wasn't moving, just stood there looking down.It was Ms. Sally. She has a grocery store just around the corner. She was a nice older woman with no family, just living alone. It was a pity she was a victim of the evil infesting the town. Her face had no expres
