Seeing Selene upset after dreaming about Axel's wolf was not something that pleased me.

The idea in itself seemed completely crazy to me; however, I had to calm Selene down so that she would go back to sleep. I didn't feel like analyzing the situation at the time, although I couldn't deny that something inside me was not only sad but a little disappointed.

Selene had made it clear to me that, although Axel was someone very important in her life, she no longer saw him in the same way, nor loved him in the same way, nor would she go back to him. But those kinds of dreams made me see that remnants of the bond must remain between them.
