Mag-log inVarda's POV “I honestly do not see anything weird about Gabriel Fernandez having a son around five years old. I mean like I said earlier, Villains are allowed to have children too. Right?” I said. There was nothing suspicious about that to me. I was expecting more, something deeper. “Okay then Varda, if you say so. But either ways, I am going to look into the child too because I found out that Gabriel Fernandez is divorced so that means he probably has no connections with his son.” Davis said. “Well, that probably explains why they have no pictures together or history together.” I paused to release a loud yawn. Talking to Davis made me feel a lot more better, maybe that was what I needed after all, to talk to someone who was on the same page as me. “I think you should focus on digging more about Gabriel. I do not really care about his child. I just want to know what his relationship with Stephen is and why Stephen is so afraid of him.” Davis cleared his throat. “Well, that m
Varda's POV Fransisca was not back yet. I waited all through the evening for her hoping she would get back but she did not. I even went as far as asking Asher if he knew what time his mum would return but the kid had no clue at all. The only person who would probably have an idea would be Stephen but then I could not exactly ask Stephen about it because if I dared to, Stephen would notice that I was up to something fishy so the only thing I could do was sit by the tip of my bed with my door locked and the phone lying carelessly on my laps. I was so carried away with my thoughts that I had not noticed the phone was able to slip from my laps until it rang out loud. I hastily picked up the phone and answered the call. I already knew it was Davis, I did not have to check the caller ID because he was pretty much the only one that had my number. “Hello?” My voice blared through the speakers. “Varda?” Davis replied, he sounded surprised and I could not help but wonder why. “Yeah?”“Why
Varda's POV Elisa led me back into the mansion and once we strode the hallways. She made it clear that she would do the talking instead because I guess she was afraid I would overreact. I agreed because it was not like I could protest or argue, she was the one currently in charge. She led me up the stairs, to the last floor. We halted in front of a small room by the end of the hallways. I had never been here before, I had a lot of questions swirling through my head but I brushed them aside for later. “Remember, I do the talking.” Elisa snapped at me. I nodded my head slowly. “Also, try not to pressure her or anything.” Elisa added and I rolled my eyes at her. “Yes ma'am.”Without wasting another second, Elisa delivered a small knock on the door before pushing it open wide. The room was lit with a bulb hanging carelessly across the roof. There was about five bunk beds all placed by the edge of the room. To be honest, the place was stuffy and standing inside instantly made me feel
Varda's POV Elisa walked towards the empty bench in the middle of the garden and settled on it because it seemed like she was losing balance. She rested her back against the wood and breathed a heavy sigh. “Varda, how did that even get into your possession and what is it for?” Elisa asked, it looked like she was speechless but somehow, words still flowed out of her mouth. I sighed heavily, I really did not want to tell her more. There was absolutely no need to go in full details because it was not really that deep. Plus I still did not trust Elisa to the extent of telling her my plan and all. “Look Elisa, that does not matter.” I said running a hand through my hair in frustration. “Are you going to tell me who the maid is or what?” I was beginning to become impatient. Although I understood that Elisa was still having a hard time processing all of it but regardless of it all, there was no time on my side. The maid could literally snitch on me any moment from now, I had to find out
Varda's POV I turned to gaze at Elisa with a confused look on my face. “What maid? What maid Elisa?” I raised my voice at Elisa and it only made her seem really worried. That was when I realized that I was reacting a bit too rashly and that I needed to take things easily for me to actually get to the root of the whole problem. “Calm down Varda.” Elisa paused to mutter a quick apology to Clara. “I am so sorry.” Then she grabbed me by the arm and began to pull me outside of the mansion. Once we were out in the garden, Elisa turned to gaze at me with a bewildered look on her face. “Varda? What was the meaning of that stunt you just pulled?” She yelled at me. I scoffed at her. “It was not a stunt Elisa!” “Accusing someone of barging into your room was not a stunt? So you were actually being for real?” She snapped at me. “Why are you making it sound like barging into someone's room is not a big deal because that is clearly invading of one's privacy? How are you so relaxed about that?
Varda's POV My heart began to race extremely faster than normal. I gulped a lump down my throat and before wasting another second in my room, I stormed out with the phone now in my pocket. I needed to know how had barged into my room and why that person had intentionally left the phone on the bed side table. It was like the person was trying to pass a message, to let me know that they knew about the phone. The only person I could think of was Fransisca but at the same time, I remembered Elisa's words clearly and according to her, Fransisca had left the house immediately we did. So who then could have gone through it?My heart raced even faster as I drew closer to the kitchen, I presumed Elisa would be there. I was so lost in my thoughts that I accidentally bumped into someone. I almost found myself falling to the ground if not for the culprit who immediately grabbed me tight by the arm to prevent me from falling. I snapped back to reality immediately. It was no one other than Clar
Varda's POV "What? Till further notice? Why can't I just check the results now? After all, I am the one pregnant here." I said, if there was one thing I despised in the entire world, it had to be unnecessary suspense. Why the hell did he have to pull that kind of stunt? Just vanish from nowhere an
Varda's POV "Pregnancy test?" My eyes widened in shock. I turned to gaze at Francis with a confused look plastered on my face. I thought all he wanted me was to go through scans. Why was he then requesting for a pregnancy test? That was all too sudden and the only thing I could think of was that p
Varda's POV Stephen! Was this the best he could come up with? Was he really expecting me to just run away from the hospital and leave Francis behind? Where would I run to? Back to the mansion? I did not have a single dime on me, neither did I even have a phone, what the hell was I supposed to use
Varda's POV The driver pulled into the driveway and yet I still remained quiet, allowing my mind to contemplate on whether to tell the truth or to continue trusting Stephen. Trusting Stephen seemed like a dead a end, the convertible trailing us from earlier was not in sight at all which meant mayb
