Chapter 3 Nagging wife

*Lorenzo POV*

I was going through my note books, where I pen down the curriculum of the activities I will be giving my trainees for this new session.

"Bang!" My room door was slammed open, revealing the average figure of my wife.

Seeing her fierce green eyes, I knew at once that it would not end well.

"Lorenzo! How dare you humiliate me!" She barked and slammed the bank card she was holding on the table.

"What is it again, Bianca?" I snap at her.

"You're good for nothing, asshole! You don't have any money, and yet you allowed me to go to my friend's party with a moneyless card!" She barked.

"Listen, Bianca, I am trying my best, okay? I haven't been paid my salary yet. Try and understand, please." I tried to reason with her.

"You penniless man! How long have you been telling me that? Same old story all over again! I'm tired of you!"

"Can't you just be like other men? Who tends to their wife's needs? All you do is parade yourself in this house with your poor coaching job." She taunted, making my hard muscles tense up in anger.

"Aren't you ashamed of yourself? When people were busy inheriting wealth from their families and building empires, what were you doing? --" I cut her off with my response, "I was busy chasing you, my love."

"Oh, shut the fuck up! Don't even dare involve me in your miserable life; get me money to live, man!" She snorted and stormed out of the room.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. This woman is such a pain in the ass. We have been married for over five solid years, but still we live like cats and rats.

Although our relationship wasn't like this at first, she was a very lovely lady who worked hard in her father's banking firm, but as soon as her family went bankrupt, she completely changed.

All she does is nag here and there, parting, smoking, and fooling around with her friends. I tried to talk her out of it, but all to no avail; in fact, she kept getting worse every single day.

I released a soft hiss before focusing back on what I was doing.

-----&&&&&-------

I twisted my neck immediately as I walked into my house, which was a well-furnished bungalow.

"Hi wify!" I cried for Bianca, who was seated on a large sofa, eating popcorn while watching the 'Black Adam', movie.

"Sweety?" I called again but got no response. I shake my head because I know she was hearing me but chose to ignore me.

I decided to let her be and walked upstairs to our room. Besides,  today's work was really hectic because new students had been admitted to the institution.

After freshening up, I wore a casual outfit, which is a polo shirt paired with a baggy indoor pant.

I applied the gel to my full blonde undercut curl hair before using a comb to slightly maintain it in place.

I exited my room and began to stroll back to the living room. I am so famished, so I need to eat something before retiring for the day.

Reaching the table, I found no dishes there. I walked inside the kitchen and didn't see any food there either; everything was empty.

With a deep frown in my face, I stormed back to the living room. "Bianca, why is there no food in this house?" I shouted at her but got no reaction.

It causes my anger to increase. I don't like laying my hands on women because if I did, they would die, but that doesn't mean I am weak; I know where to strike and when to let go.

"I am talking to you women! Answer me!" My outburst came, but this damn woman didn't bulge.

She finally rotated her eyes to my direction with an irritated expression, saying, "If not that the Bible says, be good to your husband, I wouldn't have listened to you or answered you." She sneered.

"All you know is to come back from work and then start barking like a dog. Did you keep a housekeeper in this house? Do I look like someone who should be doing house chores? Please go and sleep; there is no food for a lazy and incompetent man like you." That got me really hard, and I felt the urge to choke her to death.

"Are you sure you are portraying the attributes of a Christian wife? Because the Bible clearly says that wives should submit and respect their husbands, but you are doing the exact opposite." I corrected her.

"Oh, please, just go away; your presence makes me sulk!" Get me money if you want peace, Lorenzo!" She snorted.

"So this is what it's all about, huh! Money?" I shook my head and walked out of the spot.

I reached my room and went to change into an outdoor outfit before I killed someone tonight.

Getting out of the house, I climbed on my power bike and rode out of the residence, heading to the pub.

As soon as I reached there, I parked in a safe corner, walked into the pub, and went to take a seat at a corner.

My friend was already seated there. "You asked to see me? That's strange. So wassup?" Jerry inquiry.

"Buddy I'm not fine at all; that woman is pushing me seriously!" I ruffled my curly hair, letting out my frustration.

I heard him hiss before saying," I still don't know why you guys haven't divorced yet; do you want one of you to die before you separate?"

"You have been in this brain-draining marriage of yours for years! "Look at yourself, always sulking; you are slowly losing it, man!" He sneered in annoyance.

I release a sharp breath before saying," I am giving her a chance to change; she wasn't like this before, so I'm hoping she will come around."

"When!? That's all you've been hoping for, but all you keep getting is the bitterness part. Wake up, man! You have a life to live." He advised.

"Jerry, it's actually against my beliefs to divorce; the Bible doesn't support that." I let out my worries.

"Can you hear yourself? You are in the 21st century, where things have changed. Besides, did God say to you that you shouldn't live a happy life? Please don't pin your failure on God." He restored it.

"But i-" My phone suddenly vibrated, and the ID displayed the name of my manager.

"Oh, do you think I'm a poor and gentle guy? Nah, you haven't seen the beast part of me, dear; I am a secret feisty multi-billionaire! "
