Chapter 2 Good byes_2

*Snow POV*

"Argh!" I screamed immediately. Chase jerked me back, and without warning, he plugged his lips into mine, sucking and biting my tongue. I was blooming in shock and passion; he has never kissed me like this before, and to top it all, on a main roadside! This kiss was different, consuming, and demanding.

He suddenly pulled away, making me grasp in annoyance. I don't want him to stop.

"Take care, love; good bye." With that said, he turned away, and I watched him descend into the darkness of the night.

NEXT MORNING_______

"Hurry up, Snow! You have a flight to catch!" I heard my mother's loud voice, making me speed down the staircase with my huge rolling bag.

"Hope you checked well not to forget anything?" She asked me in a serious tone, and I nodded. My mom has always been a serious and calculative woman.

We walked out of our house and locked the door, then I rushed to drop the bag in the car boot.

I slide into my mother's official Corolla car before putting on the seatbelt.

She slipped into the driver's seat quickly before turning the car engine on, and with that, we speeded off, heading to the international airport.

"Snow!" My mom called me in a serious tone. I rolled my head to her side to see her strict gray eyes and beautiful gray hair that was tied up in a bun. "Yes?" Came my brief reply.

"You know, where you are going is a higher institution, a mature world where a lot of things happen. I want you to always remember where you are coming from and your bright future ahead." I sighed in my head because she had started her usual boring sermon again.

"Always keep in mind that you are a great child; avoid bad companies and bad influencers; and don't fall into the trap of peer pressure. Is that understandable?" She demanded.

"Yes, ma," I sneered with a dramatic salute, and I received a short smile from her.

"Lastly, say no to casual sex or any form of sinful relationship; you don't need it now. This is the time to focus and go get your certificate in order to aim higher in your career. No going to illegal parties or indecent dressing! And always read your Bible and attend church. I hope we are clear." She launched out, and I nodded.

Besides, her rules are nothing new to me; she always talks about them as if I'm still a little girl, forgetting I'm a youngster who needs to feel the world.

"Puup!!!" I was jolted out of my thoughts when my mother made a rough parking lot at the front of the airport.

"It's time to go, girl; always remember that I and Jesus love you!" She mouthed something to me and gave me a tight hug before planting a kiss on my forehead.

"Bye Mom, always keep in touch, okay?" I said to her with watery eyes, suppressing the urge not to cry. I could also see the clouded tears in her eyelid. This will be the first time my mom and I will be distant from each other. I have never traveled before.

Although she is sometimes unloving and unbearable, I still love and respect her as my mother; besides, she is a single parent, and I guess that's why she became so rigid.

Immediately after I stepped out of the car, I pulled up the car boot and took out my luggage. After an exchange of waves of goodbyes, the car speeds away from my sight, and my bravado shield breaks, followed by a stream of tears. I don't quite understand this sudden, lonely, and scared feeling of the unknown.

"All passengers, please board the plane right now; it's about to take off!" I heard the mechanical voice announce

I sniffed inside and quickly dabbed my eyes with my handkerchief before I resumed my steps inside.

Immediately after I entered and got seated, a sudden gravity was felt as the plane took off. The pilot navigates here and there, causing a nervous feeling in me because this is the first time I'm boarding it. I have never left my home to travel any distance since I was born.

On time, the plane became steady, and it moved in the sky, slowing while increasing its speed gradually.

HOURS LATER.......

"Ding___, please, the plane has successfully landed; all passengers exit, please." The mechanical voice peered into my ear, and I jerked up from my seat. I can't just believe I slept off!

I hurriedly got off the plane and went to get my luggage. The beautiful view of the city of Atlanta hits my eyes.

"Oh mine! The city is really beautiful and magnificent, as I was told! I grasp in excitement.

However, I've got to go; it's already dusk in this strange, beautiful city, so I have to get to the apartment arranged for me.

I pulled out my phone. From my pocket and slid into my message box in order to see the address again, and when I was done, I kept it back.

I hastily stopped a taxi and spelled out the address for him. I was then driven away into the deepest roads of the city of Atlanta.

After minutes of driving through the godly city, The taxi halted in front of a four-story red building.

I called my mom to confirm everything, and when I was done, I made a transfer payment to the driver before pulling out of the taxi.

I carefully drag my luggage, coming to an open area of the first floor. I sighed, went into the elevator, and then pressed the command button that would take me to the third floor.

Getting there, I began to search for a particular apartment number in the doorways.

I walked in Hastings steps before reaching the 5th door. I displayed the door card, and it made a ding sound before cracking open.

My mother has assured me that everything has been taken care of, and I will be living in this apartment till my 2-year diploma training ends.

I stepped into the apartment with curious eyes to see what my new home looked like.

Seeing it, it wasn't that bad; the apartment was well furnished. There was a large couch positioned in the mini-sitting room with a TV set and home player.

A huge ball-like chandelier was placed in the vaulted ceiling. The tiles on the floor and the walls are painted red with shades of white too.

I drag my feet to move around and see the apartment fully. The small kitchen was sparkly clean and organized, and there were already all the necessary kitchen utensils.

Moving to the bedroom that was located a few meters from the kitchen, I stepped in and saw a student-size bed, a wooden dressing table, a mini shelf, and an empty medium closet.

The apartment might not be too ravishing and luxurious, but I felt a peaceful and calm atmosphere. My mom really did a great job arranging for all of this.

I slump into the soft, well-made bed. I am totally exhausted.
