Chapter 98: A safe house

I drove home thinking about everything Darren said, there is no way I could go through with this, he’s forcing me to sleep with him in order to let Steve be safe. I continued to shake my head as I thought about it all.

I decided it was time to go to the police station, there is no way I’m doing this. Before I headed home I stopped at the police station and found the cop who arrested Darren, I was happy he was there. I explained everything I knew, he didn’t say anything besides listened. When I was done explaining everything he took a deep breath,

“I wish you would of came to me sooner Kay, I feel bad you’ve been going through all this yourself. I don’t understand what Steve is thinking. Do you mind if I look at the messages you got.”

I nodded and passed him my phone, he was looking through them when my phone began to ring, I saw the detectives eyes lit up as he passed the phone to me,

“Put it on speakerphone.”

I nodded as I answered,
