Chapter Fifty Six

Lance stood outside the room and watched Vivian and Claris through the window blinds. Both women were still unconscious despite a day having passed since Katrina 's demise. The postmotem reports still showed no sign of poison in their systems. No weapon or injury was detected either and this puzzled Lance greatly. John came to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. 

"Hey...."

"John...you are here?" Lance looked at his friend.

"You haven't had food yet. You need some replenish your energy."

"It is my fault that Katrina is dead...."

"You did your best to protect her."

"I still have to find out whay happened."

"Do you still think that it was Vivian?"

"The truth has a way of coming out." Lance said and looked back at Vivian. She looked so peaceful  and innocent in unconscious yet it was highly possible that she had killed Katrina and sent herself and her sister in an unconscious state to cover up the sin.
