Chapter Fifty eight
Lusha was awakened by the agonizing cries of Gabriella as they mercilessly whipped her with batons. Tears streamed down Lusha's face as she helplessly watch Gabriella being mistreated. After an hour, it was her turn. The men went to get Lusha tied her to a post where they started whipping her too. They made Gabriella watch her too. This was the only way Pavel could think of when if came to crushing Gabriella's spirit. Dario Pavel came in to the torture room some hours later and sat down to watch. He eventually asked the men to leave so that he could have a private conversation with Gabriella. Lusha was no use to him since she could not talk anyway.

Amber reached out for the phone and contacted the Chief of police. He showed up thirty minutes later. He looked angry. Amber and Lillian saluted him nervously. The man gave both wardens a grimaced stare and went on to examine the dead body of Vivian. Lance looked out the window and gazed at vast city of Flora. It looked calm from his 7th floor office but, he knew better. Nothing was as it seemed. The capital city was on fire; tensions were brewing as road blocks intensified; checkpoints were being avoided, crime was being conducted with caution and most of all, everyone was lying in wait to see what would happen next. Later that evening, Lance crept near the Tavern with Terry and John following him behind closely. The other team from AHUTA had lagged behind to serve as the backup team when the attack commenced. Outside the Tavern, all was calm. Not many people were passing by and they made it easy for the law enforcers to move without being spotted. They all decided to enter the Tavern in groups of two to three in order to look like regular customers. Inside, everyone was busy that they did not suspect that something was off. The dim light in the tavern also provided a good camouflage. Besides, the tavern was crowded and noisy with the loud disco. People were busy grooving and chanting to the beat of the song. Seeing that the security cameras were going off one by one, the security men in the guard room sprang up and ambushed to the door. One of them opened the door and dashed out out only to be met with a bullet from Lance's gun. The man looked at Lance with a blank expressing before his eyes shifted to his lower stomach, bleeding as blood profusely oozed out of his bullet wound. The others dashed into the hallway and engaged into a gunfight with Lance. It was not long before Calvary and some of the men heard the cacophony of gunfire and rushed to the scene. Calvary was confused to see Lance killing his men one by one before he realised that he had been tricked. Feeling betrayed and angry, Calvary opened fire from his revolver.
