CHAPTER SEVEN

I felt a strange sense of nerves that I haven’t felt since my first investigation, a lot had been riding on this. I needed to find the twins and as the hours go by without a call for ransom or a breakthrough the lesser chance we have of finding them… alive that is.

 My heart was thrumming in my chest as I tied my hair into a messy bun, I watched closely on the CCTV monitor as Edward rounded the corner on the sixth floor getting closer to the stairwell while he ran his fingers through his hair a few times and tried his best to soothe his nerves. I needed something, anything to help us find who was behind the master plan of kidnapping the twins or at least where they kept the twins.
