A Daring Boy

THE MORTAL REALM

Alpha Demetri shook in anger at the report given to him by his beta. How could his son be missing right in his own territory?

"Have you sent out the warrior to search for him?" He asked, looking at his beta.

"Yes. I sent out different scouts all around, still there is no news and the storm…" his beta said but was cut off.

"Look for my son! Find him even if you have to bring down the storm! I don't care! " His voice boomed amidst the storm.

Just as they were still discussing, four boys came running towards a huge palace with tears mixed with rain. They were wailing loudly, as they stared at the men who were searching for someone.

"Alpha, he is nowhere to be found" some batches of the scout came reporting, drenched and shivering.

"Don't tell me that! Search everywhere! Find my son or I will kill each and every one of you!"

As the men continue searching amidst the clasping of the fierce thunder and the striking of the lightning, four pairs of eyes looked at them in undeniable fear.

The boys cowered together as they shivered in cold fright amongst themselves. They were scared of telling the truth. The alpha would surely kill them.

"If we tell the Alpha, our heads would be rolling on the ground" one of the boys mind linked the others.

"I don't want to die! It wasn't our fault!" Another said, shivering as his legs began to wobble.

"No one knows he followed us, so we are safe. Let's just hope he doesn't come back or else we will still be dead even if he comes back!" The first boy said.

"How can you say such a thing? He is still our cousin!" A timid one said, clasping his hands tightly.

"So what, Seth? Would you rather be dead? Do you think Alpha Demetri would spare us if he finds out that we left his son in danger?"

The timid Seth kept quiet. He also don't want to die, no matter how much he felt guilty.

They looked at each other and agreed to keep their mouths shut.

They hoped he was dead.

The storm raged for three days non-stop and everyone's hope was lost thinking the child would have been dead.

Afterall he was just a pup.

Meanwhile in a dense forest, inhabited by strange creatures and immortals, fear was creeping all around. The immortals were shivering in fear and cowardice.

For once in their immortal life, they wished they were just mortals. They would have been oblivious to the anger of the dreaded god of the realm, Lord Kizia.

Lord Kizia was angry again but no one could tell the reason. But everyone knew since the death of Athena, these occurrences were becoming the norms. What they didn't know was the reason for the fearsome Lycan and was angry again.

Could it be the princess?

Rumor has it that she refused to be mated but rather spent her time watching those mortal halflings known as werewolves. Such a disgrace for a royal!

Still, no one can tell what the highest gods have in mind. Lord Kizia might be the god of the Lycan, still he was under the highest gods. No one knows their will for the princess.

But it was obvious Lord Kizia was hellbent on getting his daughter mated! He already announced this day as her mating ceremony and they were presently hosting the ceremony. Everyone awaits the lucky mate.

After a while, everywhere went silent. The anger ceased and only the sound of something unimaginable resounded all around.

The hidden immortals peep out in the shadows and were stunned to see the source of the sound. How was that possible?

Light footsteps of a little boy were heard and his voice was as soothing as the morning breeze!

The immortals watched as the strikingly handsome little boy walked lightly with a pout on his face murmuring a word repeatedly. All they could hear was an incoherent word.

"Mhuaate…Mhuaate…Mhuaate… Pwety Mhuaate"

Not even the most intelligent of all immortals could decipher the encrypted words of the little boy. But they could see he wasn't an immortal or a mortal.

He was of the lineage of the one tenth bloodline descendant of the lycan blood, the werewolves. They were mortals with longer spans of life than those of mere mortals. Lower than the immortals but higher than the human race.

What brought him to the Immortal realm hidden from all?

The immortals watched as he disappeared into the thick mist leading to the Ocean bed of the Queen of the seas.

They all opened their mouths in shock and…sorrow. They believed that was the end of the meddling little pouting yet handsome werewolf.

No mortals or half immortals have ever come out of the mist of the Ocean bed, especially during the Princess's mating ceremony.

Unknowingly to them, the little boy kept walking as he mumbled incoherently. His emerald green eyes were shining as he looked around the Riverbed.

The little boy's eyes shone brighter when he caught sight of a beautiful blue-eyed girl with flowing white hair who was wearing a striking flowing white dress.

She was looking stunning and fabulous in the white flowing dress like those fairies the Omegas always told him before bedtime.

The little boy hated those stories and thinks of them as boring but looking at the girl before him, it didn't look boring anymore.

Then something caught his eyes. A glowing blue pendant. He walked towards it clumsily as he picked it up. The people around all gasped at him letting out a muffled growl.

The little boy walked towards the fairy tale Princess and tugged at her clothes. He was saying something but she couldn't grasp the meaning. When the child saw that she wasn't responding as he wanted. He tugged at her clothes pulling her to face down.

He shoved the pendant into her hands as he smiled. He murmured the same words he had been saying all along to her. He wasn't listening to anyone but the Princess before him.

"Pwety Mhuaate"

Then the boy thumped on the ground surrounded by the gods who wanted nothing but to have him dead.

He was still holding tightly to the pendant.

Princess Helena rushed forward to guide him from the force that was about to hit him. She wasn't going to let him die.

Seeing the plea in the princess's eyes, the Queen of the ocean waved her hands and everything became calm again.

But a decision has to be reached by the gods and the Princess of the Mystic beings.
