Day Eleven

— Aboard the Ship

Naomi woke to the gentle sway of the ship gliding over the water.

A soft light slipped through the curtain, while Adel stood by the large glass window, breathing deeply like a lover exhausted by warmth.

When she opened her eyes, she found him standing near the bed, watching her in a long, quiet silence…

a silence carrying an apology never spoken, and a longing that returned to her with every breath she took.

He reached out, brushed a strand of hair from her face, and said in a low voice—one almost shy of its own truth:

“Naomi… do you know you’re the only reason I love life this way?”

She smiled, yet inside her a truth burned—

a truth she wished she could spill without fear, without trembling hands,

a truth that said she still hadn’t forgotten his betrayal.

At the Ship’s Restaurant

They sat together for breakfast in the ship’s restaurant, surrounded by the murmur of passengers, the scent of fresh coffee, and the gentle vibration that felt like a comfort

  • NELLIE AND NAOMI    Chapter 9 _ Episode _ 8 "Will Naomi be exposed in her confrontation with Adham"

In the adjacent chalet, chalet number 11,Nelly and Adel were sitting on the sofa in the living room when Adel heard Naomi's voice replying to Adham: "Yes, Adham, I'm here." Adel became angry, stood up, and went into the room. Naomi stood up and followed him. Adel sat in the rocking chair, smoking a cigarette, looking furious. Nelly stood behind him, leaned closer, and whispered in his ear: "Adel, my love, please stop hurting yourself. Naomi is married and living happily with her new husband, as you can see." Adel said: "How could she marry him when she's still legally married to me? She's my wife!" Naomi said: "That's what happened. She might have had your marriage contract dissolved by the judge without your knowledge and married him. In any case, she's married to a new man, and your pursuit of her will only make you lose your life." Adel said: When I saw Naomi in the water standing with him, I felt like I wanted to get closer to her, not out of love, but out of revenge.Nelly said:

The door of Chalet No. 11 opened, and Nelly and Adel stepped out after a night that had been the boldest of their marriage in terms of physical intimacy, and the most tender and affectionate on a human level. They left the chalet together and headed toward the beach. Souad stood at the doorway, watching them as they walked away. She was holding the child in her arms and said softly, speaking as much to herself as to the little one while looking at him, “We’ll stay here today—we won’t go to the beach. We’ll sit here instead. What do you think? The sun looks warm and beautiful today.”Souad moved toward the sofa placed in front of the chalet and sat down with the child in her arms.Meanwhile, Adel and Nelly reached the shore. They stepped into the water and began to bathe. Nelly lingered in the sea, cupping the water and pouring it gently over her body, and Adel did the same. Then Adel paused and glanced toward Yassin and Laila, before turning back to Nelly and saying, “Let’s swim in th

Chalet No. 9Night had fully settled in, and silence grew denser inside the bedroom, broken only by close whispers and slowly harmonizing breaths. Layla and Yassin were lying on the bed, their backs resting against the pillows, the blanket wrapped around their bodies as if shielding them from a fear that had not yet left Layla’s heart.Layla spoke in a low voice as she drew closer to his chest:“I’m afraid the mermaid might enter the chalet while we’re asleep… that she might take you from beside me, or take me from beside you.”Yassin gently tightened his arms around her, as though holding something precious, and said with quiet resolve:“Don’t speak of her again… there is nothing here but us.”Layla lifted her head slightly and looked into his eyes. Anxiety still shimmered in them as she said, her voice close to a plea:“Then… make me feel safe.”He did not answer with words. He moved closer, that slow approach that precedes reassurance, rested his forehead against hers, and his hand

Outside the chalets، the atmosphere lay still, as though night itself had spread its wings over the resort village, enfolding it in a majestic, alluring calm. The darkness was not absolute; soft lights, glowing in warm hues, were scattered along the pathways like small, distant stars. The moon rose high, casting its silvery reflection across the surface of the sea, turning the shore into a vast mirror breathing silence and secrecy, as if the night itself were hinting at a rare romantic encounter.Inside the three adjacent chalets—9, 10, and 11—the night took on a different character, warmer, closer to the heart. Here, silence was not emptiness but fullness, heavy with emotion; tranquility was not coldness, but a quiet readiness for love, affection, and moments that words could never contain. The feelings were calm—yet a calm that suggested an approaching storm of emotions, sensations, and intimate connections poised on the edge of eruption.Chalet No. 11Where Adel and Nelly were sta

Naomi watched them as they exchanged kisses, her tone playful yet cautious:— Stay here. She pressed a long, lingering kiss on him, and together they submerged beneath the waves, savoring a private, intimate moment, warm and tender amid the embrace of the sea.On the shore, Leila exhaled deeply, a mixture of worry and relief in her voice:— I could have lost you, Yassin… thank God I didn’t enter the chalet. You would have… you would have died!Yassin smiled, his heart still racing, and said:— I would have chased her…Leila’s tone sharpened, though it remained tender:— Yassin… understand. She was luring you away, to drag you far from prying eyes, and then transform into her true terrifying form and pull you into the depths.Yassin shivered slightly, running a hand over his chest:— Thank God… I feel like my whole body is on fire—from fear, relief, and… adrenaline all at once.Leila smiled firmly and said:— Come, let’s go to the chalet. They moved together toward the chalet, whisperi

On the BeachSuad sat at the edge of the beach, playing gently with the child in her hands, lifting water over his little body. The child laughed with pure innocence, and Suad smiled in return, while the sun caressed their cheeks, leaving a golden glow upon their skin.In the water, Yassin and Leila swam and played, their laughter rising, echoing the joy of the moment and the spirit of the outing. On the other side, Adham and Naomi moved gracefully through the waves together. Every now and then, their smiles met in fleeting, romantic moments, as if the sea itself were embracing their hearts.Yassin stopped in front of Leila, took a deep breath, and said with a smile:— The water is so beautiful today, isn’t it?Leila smiled, feeling the warmth of the sun and the water on her body:— Truly wonderful… warm in just the right way.Yassin lifted his gaze toward the shore, and his eyes caught a sight that drew his attention: Suad sitting on the sand, playing with the child, her face radiati
